Watching Puppy Videos

Every now and then I need a puppy fix. Since our dear friend Yvonne refuses to bring me her puppies (how selfish is that?) (smile) I have to make do with watching our own videos from earlier this year. I just watched one of Sebastian, Coach and Sassy playing together that was delightful. We had Sassy, Coach and Remy here today. I realize how much they have changed in the past 6 months but they still remain totally delicious. Another Monday

It's just a lazy day today. Mommy created another page for the Havanese crew events and the 'Food For Thought' info. This way you know what my mom and dad are all about. Even their human kids think they are crazy - crazy in love with us furry crew.

Mom was bored and decided to see what I would look like with my hair standing up straight. My - she needs a life. I had to tell her to take it out. She had this idea she was going to leave it that way till daddy got home and parade me on my walk like that. I told her to do that with HER hair and we have a deal - knowing full well she would never go there. Still, the thought of her with her hair on end...well I won't tell you what thoughts that conjures up.

Well, it is now approx day 44. I can't wait till I see them. I have never been this big before in my life and wow can you hear those heartbeats. In 11 days I go to the vet to see how many they see.

The Bed is Empty

Well, another day down and the bed was empty last night. No Mojo or Opal. That gives me - Wasabi a wide berth to stretch out and not get the - I am crowding your space growls from Risa and Mojo. Not that I pay attention to such silliness. I just have more room to lay on my back, roll whichever way I want and dream those great dreams us Havanese tend to have.

Mom thinks I need a bath today. I'm sitting in the gazebo hoping mom doesn't notice me. My hair is silky - okay a tad frizzy from rolling around but it looks and feels clean. It's not that I hate a bath. Mom makes it fun for me taking me in the bath tub with her in her suit and we sit and play with toys while she gets the dirt off me - it's just that it's cold out today.

Mom just came to find me and told me if it doesn't warm up, I am safe - no baths today and anyway, she's not feeling well and wants to just snuggle with me on the couch. She told me so.

Oh, gad is mommy and daddy going to cuddle with my pups that way? I saw them laying in the play pen and letting Risa's pups climb all over them. I think they love the pups as much as I do.

What is this day 37 and counting. I can't imagine what those humans do with 9 months. I feel for them. 63 days is enough for moi!

Wasabi's First Adventure in Motherhood

Well, we recently found out that Sonrisas' Hot N Spicy Wasabi is pregnant for the first time. It's so exciting. Wasabi is a Canadian championship. The sire is R'Gang's Buster At Rockhurst who is an American and Canadian champion.

You can see the beautiful dam here with one of her pack mate's Risa's pups. She's going to make such a great mom. She played with Risa's and tried to take care of them throughout. We would even catch her in spying on them in the middle of the night.

Such exciting times.

Wasabi is having morning sickness, not acting her usual playful self.

We set up the whelping box and Wasabi jumped in and we wondered if she thought Risa was going to have more pups but this is her turn and we know she is going to love it.

Wasabi is due mid October so she is now more than halfway through her pregnancy.
