Departures

Archie had a total blast and he cleans up. Archie is a brown sable but if I put the wrong settings on my camera cause I am in a rush he looks gray. He isn't.

Many departed today.

We wanted to go next door to let the dogs run but as we were assembling everyone the guys came and sprayed their lawn. Oh well now we need rain before we can do that. :-( We do not spray our yard. 

Marco also departed and he's a brown sable too. He had a blast as well. I am not sure we had room on the bed especially with Jesse but I am using a massager on my neck. I love the dog snuggles. Nathan thinks they only snuggle with him. Fat chance and then he says I steal them from him. 

Did manage to get in the pool and what happened to that rain. I didn't water the plants so I am going to check the weather and water if no rain is coming. 

The puppy pen outdoors is now set up with the couch and 3 chairs. It's sort of sad but it helps all of us to move forward. 

Got good reports from the pups and some said DO NOT SHARE THIS PHOTO. I laughed. I thought that was my line about me.

Jesse loves hanging at the pool hanging his head over the edge. 

Tomorrow we have a puppy TT visiting just for a half of a day. Hope it doesn't rain as I have a feeling Inula will love running outdoors with this pup. We shall see. 

This is Cosmo who just departed. He's a Treasure puppy. We are going to try to visit Treasure this week. We really miss her. Cosmo is saying where's the grub? I smell it you know!

Yikes So Late

It's been a long day. As you can see I am just updating after 9pm. This is Barney. He is a VERY strong swimmer. We told his family that we would take him in today as we are supposed to get rain all week - can you believe? He is a natural.

I am sorry if I didn't get everyone but with 2 pups going home, a lot of dogs to wash. Last one just went home after 9pm and I just finished him 20 minutes ago. It's been an insane day and tomorrow I have a full grooming schedule as a number are going home tomorrow. So please understand.

Everyone had a blast today but we also had to clean off the deck, the laundry - oh my and the xpen came down. I find if we do this moms don't stay in a funk too long. 

Roxie did go in the pool today and that meant I had to dry Barney, Roxie, Ella and Kat plus the dogs I had to groom. Pool was at 89f.

Everyone is watching tv and I am eating at my desk for the 1st time today. 

So..... this is it for the update. hahahahahaha

Needing Brushing

Sometimes I take photos before brushing and sometimes after the brushing. Jayne owns Mabel and Velvet and of course the Safi one lives here.

We have an issue with our pool cell so they are fixing the cell hopefully, empting the pool and filling it up again - okay half the pool water - oy is right! Our cell has not been working for a few weeks but we had a transmission to rebuild so I still swam but it wasn't crystal clean nor green just cloudy. As your pool gets older usually its 1 thing a year or 2 and some years you skip something. This year was a pool cleaner and maybe a cell. He's out there working on it.

I need to wash Buddy for departure tomorrow and another dog. So, I am trying to get the blogs done. We may take some of the adults next door after Nathan gets his nap in. We shall see. They are doing tv time with Dennis as the pool guy is outside. Saturday, Sunday and Monday I have a ton of grooming so blogs other than the departures on Roxie's may be small. I do so hope you understand.

By Tuesday night things have calmed down. 

Dogs are all enjoying each other. Just waiting fo the pool to empty so we can go back outdoors.

Short Blog

Got a busy day. Two pups go home tomorrow and I looked at this gallery and not a single shot of the Brewski. I can't believe it as I had him in with the pups and he was doing the chase game with them. For shame on me. :-( I also tried Logan in but he wasn't crazy about the pups. He used to LOVE them. Guess he is getting older. Now Velvet was delighted! Hagia also was till they wouldn't stop chasing. 

As I was alone with the pups and dogs as Dennis was weeding amd I was doing the adults and pups as Nathan was at the pool store figuring out our water and why the salt machine is not working so clicking was not my focus. I tried when I could. How's that for a run on sentence. hahahahahahaha

After dinner I get to wash 2 pups that will depart tomorrow. It takes time as we take photos etc. Bear with us during this change. By Sunday night I can click the adults till the cows come home - after grooming, of course.

Another Day of Rain

Rain comes, rain goes. Aren't you just sick of it?This is Hagia who came for the weekend. isn't she delicious? Mabel and Velvet also came and it is so wonderful to see them.

I am hoping tomorrow no rain so we can take the dogs next door to run. I have a very busy time till Tuesday. Between the pups going home and having a full house coming and going, grooming, baths etc - it's extra busy. So bear with me. We watch the weather and take the dogs out and run when we can depending on mother nature. She's not always predicable. But we do manage to have fun indoors as well. 

Inside Outside Next Door

Tonight we are going to take a few of the visitors next door if they like. Today we just got Zoey next door. Rest of them when we said lets go just stood there as if to say - what! Maybe they just preferred hanging with Dennis. Dennis is a lot of fun especially when he does his chase games.

That's okay. Those that didn't go had a blast in our yard and indoors. 

The weather is overcast then sunny. It's a great day. Everyone had a great TV time last night with Nathan, Dennis and Jon. They say they may do it again - guys night and all. To see Zoey next door you will have to check out the videos. They will be up there soon.

Inside Play

Well can you believe rain AGAIN? Dusty and Stormy are getting along splendidly. They are so opposite in personality too. They were running around in the kitchen having a blast!

I was cooking bacon today and I think we need to call Zoey Jumping Zoey. She thought the higher she jumped the most likely she was going to have some. That's okay. They all got a piece in their dinner and I will tell you Zoey eats dinner like she is starving. She eats breakfast slower as it only has shredded chicken in it but the night meals is always with ground beef, veal, lamb or something warm and they LOVE it.

I have to say I am pretty tired of the rain. Aren't you? I so wanted to swim. I even watered all the plants and then the rain came. It's Murphy's law - don't you know. 

It's tv time but not for me. It's boys night with the dogs while they all watch Game of Thrones. heh

TV Time

Sorry its yucky outside so we are going to have tv time. That is when the dogs drape all over Nathan and I while we watch tv. It's a riot!

We had a number of dogs depart so I had to get them ready so not that many photos and I missed the great run Dennis had with them in the back. I think Dennis is feeling better. Me too. Not all there yet but better than yesterday.

Full House Fun

Last thing Zoey's mom said to us is I only trust you with my baby. I wonder what she is going to think after seeing this photo. This happened about 20 minutes after she arrived. What you can't see is the grass was cut so her feet was green. Nathan's face says it all. Guess who was on cleanup? But boy oh boy they had fun! PS: This was not due to the pool but the wet grass.

We have 2 Zoe's here. Benji dropped in for the day. Chester and Zoey are enjoying each other's company. Cinnamon says - ahhhh that's ok!

Heated Up Day

When I groom a dog we usually have a fun time in-between with them and this was Winston's time. I took photos and Nathan played his heart out. This is so normal around this place. Got to have fun you know. The dogs aren't the only ones to have that!

Plus see that red thing waiting to be assembled? Sherry got Nathan a foot rest for the Adirondack chair. He is so jazzed and it was so unexpected. Thank you truly!!

We have a fun crew here. Molly, Roxy and Poppy depart today. They have had such an amazing amount of fun between puppy playing and getting muddy and just having fun. It does my heart good to see them happy.

Chester is in love with Cinnamon and when I say in love, I mean in love. If she is in the other room he is crying for her. Oh my. hahahahaha

We didn't have rain. The son cut the grass. I am still on meds. I am hoping tomorrow is the day of feeling great. 

Heading back outside to hang out with the dogs and Nathan. I am trying to soak this crud out of me. The son reminds me - sun bring sun cancer. Thanks for that!

Before the Downpour

One would think this was spring vs. summer. We have an abundance of rain and an abundance of cleanup when we do but we laugh and enjoy the outdoors as much as we can.

Today the rain came and came and now it is steamy uncomfortable out there as it all dries out. We had thunder and lightening and no one reacted including pups. 

We are heading back out now that we have a reprieve to enjoy ourselves. 

Everyone is brushed out, had their treats and now it is time to play!!

Sorry No Photos

In case you haven't noticed it is downright hot out there - baking weather. Not the hang out and have fun type weather so we are playing mostly inside. I didn't click too much of the adults. I was feeling like I was getting better then we did the pups and I took a video and did laundry and did the pool and well then I feel like &^%$ so medicated I am so I can be all I can be for the dogs.

They are playing and having fun. I am just bad as I didn't click photos. My apologies. Tomorrow is a new day as they say. But know they are having fun.

You may see some in the Roxie pups gallery as they were greeting them. Ozzie was also in playing with them so you will see him in the video. I kept trying to get him to jump on the couch but he was more than fine with them.

Ellie departed. Ty went home. 

Can the sun go down so we can play outdoors, please? This baking stuff is not fun. Now we do take the dogs out frequently but short spurts in heat like this. Cold fresh water everywhere even outdoors always.

Muddy But Fun

Yesterday and this morning we had rain and boy did the dogs have fun. 

I am still sick so blogs will be short. Dennis is now sick. Nathan says he has a sore throat but Dennis and I are full tilt - joy not.

Roxy, Poppy, Ellie and Molly are having a fantastic time. None are our breeding but they found our fun place of doggie heaven and they are doing really well. It doesn't matter how hesitant a dog is on drop off we always manage to get them to cultivate their coping skills and have fun and that they did. 

I would have to say they are having a muddy good time!! Sorry there are not more photos but hoping I am up for more clicking tomorrow. All these photos was Nathan and Dennis' clicks.

Water Therapy and More

Both Colby and Rosie had operations (different types) so we took them in the pool to get some mobility and strength into the area. They both did really well. They need to come more often.

Neither are our breeding but they do come here to visit and we love them immensely!!

Today, I found out my mother died. Years ago she died as she had alzheimers but it still hurts. 

Between being sick and this, I may be lean on the blogs. Hope you understand.

I have to say thank you to Patt as Sadie (Thyme) cuddled with me making me feel better. It was nice to have that experience. Thank you for sharing Sadie and Marlee with us. Marlee we adore and of course Sadie is a character. Thanks again!! Timing couldn't have been better!

Too Sick

Too sick to blog - really. I am off to lay down. That sick so enjoy a photo of the Marco boy. Hopefully I will be alive tomorrow. Chills, hurting chest - all that fun stuff. 

Oh and those that asked, love having Sadie visiting and Marlee fell or jumped in the pool? Had to blow dry her. Nathan was taking a nap at the time so I was it. 

We empty out tomorrow. Going to get quiet for a day or so.

Look Who Dropped In

Sadie (Thyme) and Marlee arrived and they are both having a complete blast. Me, I am sick so I have to rest for a bit as I have a 3pm grooming and I am not sure I am up for it.

Yikes Mud and Rain

I am so trying. I clean feet. I brush them and still this is what they look like after going outdoors. I had plans to transplant a couple of plants but not today. I also need to start working on the middle bed but I figure after pups depart. Then I have no excuse.

Saffron is supposed to be done her heat tomorrow. I think she is done today. She is playing with a squeaky toy which tells me she is pregnant. Its what she did last time but I didn't clue into it. Tomorrow Sadie (Thyme) will be here and it will be interesting to see how Amy and her connects. Marlee gal is coming too and it will be fun to watch their interaction together. I just hope this weather clears up.

As its such a mucky day that it seems fruitless to just wait till tonight when they are even more messy, I decided to do the blogs early. Maybe I will get cuddle and tv time with them. I would like that. Too often Nathan gets it and I am blogging. :-(

Sun, Cloudy and Pouring Rain

Think this is the new norm in a summer day. Chester, Tenshi and Charlie went home. We had to fix our pot as it was leaking (water pot) and it takes 12 hours to cure in dryness. So today we got to put all the water plants back after putting all the bricks in the pot for shelving for the plants. Seeing we had our hose out *unkinkable version - hooray) I watered the plants and transplanted 2 plants. I needed to do another but ran out of soil. Tomorrow.... The dogs found the process fascinating and they love fresh potting soil.
