Garden Smells

Lulu and Gucci says hmmm you smell good.

We had a squirrel that ran back and forth over the deck. About the 5th time, Harlow ignored it. I laughed. 

Tuppy says - do I have to stay clean - really? Charlie and Teddy and Tia and Benji are all smelling up the garden. There must be some smells. LOL Jay Jay is an old guy and seems to LOVE the outdoors. When I get some time out he snuggles on my lap. So nice!

Gus is playing like crazy with every single dog that will play back. He's such a puppy.

Barney arrived this afternoon.

Oh and Coco only got half yet. We are teaching her NO. Yes, I am laughing. Her packmate sister is perfectly 

The dogs had a wonderful day!

Rain Yet Again?

We won't have many photos as it keeps spitting rain. The pool has made a significant amount of progress with cleaning. I am surprised.

No one jumped in today but Hazel has departed.

Ellie and Coco are 2 peas in a pod. They so check on each other often though play independent as well.

Truffie's brothey Cody has departed. JayJay is an old guy and hears you sometimes and others not. hmmm I call him and he ignores. I call him and he looks right at me and comes inside. He makes me laugh. 

Charlie and Teddy are playing independent but are always aware of each other. Noah - well he likes it outside. His sidekick - rain let me back in quicklt - will ya?

What a Day

Here is the gallery.

The pool was opened bright and early. It was my day off and no longer my day off. You see Hazel abover jumped - yes jumped in the pool and so did Coco. So, I washed them and then while running an adult dog fell in - not intentionally so I washed him too. We are always out with the dogs so we see it all but I think Coco won't jump in again unless invited but Hazel.... well she is a mischevious soul and she is going to enjoy swimming this year. We should have kept her. LOL Rain and Hope looked and said - I don't think so. 

So, usually when you have a day off, Nathan would have washed the dogs but he doesn't do that anymore. It is all me. So when I announced I am changing my day off at 1st they balked but I won out cause really... 3 dogs when you were supposed to have none? Then laundry - then pads. I need to go out for my day off as it's not really a day off, is it.

I am now changing the pool cleaner every hour and a half as it needs it. The pool cleaner gets so full it stops. Nathan says it is too heravy and Dennis ignores so guess who will have the pool cleaned. I am laughing.

Dogs loved looking at the water. The adults that are ours live to swim but know not yet.

Tomorrow Tenshi goes home and it is her human's birthday tomorrow so I made a nice memory gift for her and will be washing Tenshi before she departs. Happy Birthday, Sylvia!

Pablo, Gus and Shlomo is coming tomorrow. We will see if Gus the pup goes into the pool. We are hoping not. 

It was a great day for the dogs despite the few that needed baths. They loved the weather. 10 years ago it was in the 70s according to Facebook and we swam. Not today. The pool is actually 68f which is an all time high without heating it yet. 

Now I need to head out and do the pool cleaner thing.

Jump for Joy

I love when dogs jump in midair and you catch them. It is usually too early, too late or you miss it all together. They do this more than you think but we don't always catch it in the moment.

Dogs are enjoying this non rain day. 

We had dogs come. We had dogs depart. They are about to eat shortly. 

Tomorrow the pool gets opened. That will be mighty new for Rain and Hope. I hope they are swimmers. 

Bailey is here for dinner and will be departing before bed. These days she is so thoroughly delighted with the play.

Everyone is having a total blast. They are already barking for their dinner especially Harlow. :-)

Cool Saturday

Here is the gallery.

We have many crates in our house but all are without doors. We do that on purpose. We want them to be safe and be able to crawl into one if desired and crawl out when desired. They do use them. It can be as simple as having a place to nap without being disturbed. 

It is cold outside. Dogs are going out but not highly playing.

Our pool is getting opened on Monday. I do not think it is warm enough but best to figure out if we have any equipment issues before it is warm.

We have a number of dogs overnight and for the day.

I have to finish grooming and the tummy is still not happy. I am taking pepcid maximum strength. lol

Overcast Friday With a Glimpse of Sun

It's an okay day. It is Nathan's day off. My tummy is still off in a huge way. Oh well, it will pass. I think it is a high amount of stress. We are dealing with medical issues in the family and an end of life scenario and well it's life, I suppose so bear with me. I am doing short blogs do to it.

Brodie and Katie seems to be doing okay in their homes. We do miss them but happy for their journey.

The world serems to be crazy with wars and potential wars. Maybe the tv and ipad needs to be shut off.

The dogs give us grounding. Apryl above has taken the red chair over from Ella. She is mighty comfie in it. Ella is a whatever you want and makes you happy gal. She seems to be happy when others are happy. 

Tchibo is going home tonight. He's had such a grand time. I combed him out this morning. Never got a response on a groom so hopefully he is okay. I did use a waterless bath on him and actually used a warm towel to pull it through the hair. I think that method is more work. Don't try it. Really, a bath is easier.

Dogs are playing. Nathan is up from his nap and is lounging out back with them now that the sun is out.

It's a Day

It's my stick not yours... okay I will share but you have to catch me.

It's cloudy and cool. Everyone is having a blast.

This blog will be short as I have tummy issues and I need to get into a reclining position but I did groom and I am blogging. 

Lots going on. Dennis had a nice birthday. Thank you for those that said Happy Birthday and went out of your way to make his day nicer.

Nathan just picked up 15 packages of pads. It's been a struggle finding them. Now that we have them maybe it won't rain. This way they will last even longer.

Buckets of Rain

This is the look I got when I told this one it is time to go outside. LOL

The dogs are not appreciating the rain. We are not either but Dennis cleaned the backyard so little debris is coming inside. It is Dennis day off as its his birthday. He wants Lonestar chips and con queso. Well, it is his choice. 

Mr. Mickey departed and is shorter than usual. Ellie is sitton on Dennis while he plays his game. She managed to get the highly sought after spot. We have puppies Pippin and Coco here. Playing is going on. The pups are so excited to see each other.

Apryl is having an excellent visit. She has managed to get the top spot in the tv room where Noah and Zoe gets the recliner. Harlow is miffed she can't find the rabbits. I am not sure where they are. Everyone is having a blast despite the weather. 

I could go on. It has been a good day!

Day to Clean Up

I am little by little getting everyone combed out. The weather is good. Rain comes yet again tomorrow. Dennis has the dogs outside and is busy cleaning the walkways, the deck, the yard. He won't finish today but he will try. The dogs track in all sorts of debris at this time of the year and when it rains they bring in mud until there is enough plant and grass growth.

We had Mocha here. It was truly wonderful for him to visit. He is the chocolate boy.

Yoshi and Cassie are playing non stop. The dogs are all playing and Ms Harlow is back trying to find the rabbits but they are either gone or hiding as the dogs have been outside more than in. 

I so wish the weather stayed dry.

The dogs are enjoying today.

Mr. Brodie is visiting someone that has one of our dogs as a see how he does and so is Ms Katie. We shall see how it unfolds. The worse case scenario they had exposures somewhere other than here and that helps as exposures that are positive is a good thing.

The dogs are sunning outside. The weather is good. 

Things are starting to come alive including my tulips that came up a month ago and the snow killed them. They sprung again.

Today, Nathan and the dogs want to be out more than in. 

Finally Sun

Nicky is so delighted the rain has stopped. We have sunshine out there and Nathan goes from nap to outside but didn't take many photos. Sorry. It is Dennis day off. Dennis gets another day off on his birthday. He told me to thank Sherry for the meta gift card. It is already spent. Guess what he is doing today NONSTOP. 

Apryl thinks she is in heaven outside. We are waiting for Harlow to come. Coco just departed and Fudge is about to. I combed him out earlier but he looks like a complete mess. All dogs play but oh my god some play like they are addicted. That is Fudge.

Tchibo has to be coaxed outdoors but once he is out he is lazing in the sun loving every moment. As a matter of fact, everyone is. It is a happy Sunday filled with sunshine. You can't get better than that!

Dogs are loving the weather. They say rain again tomorrow - thank you very much NOT. 

Sunning Outside With Dawgs

We had dogs depart - some that came for overnight or just for the day. The pups have departed. It was such a splendid time to watch the play. 

Nathan is outdoors with all the dogs while Dennis makes them dinner. Dash wil be picked up anytime now.

Dennis has tomorrow off and Wednesday for his birthday. Lucky guy - 2 days off this week if you start your week on Sunday.

Rain stopped late morning and the sun came out. Everyone wanted to be outdoors including Nathan. 

Apryl arrived. She is an older gal and really was excited to be outdoors - tail wagging. It's great to watch. Barney is just here overnight and for a groom. He's lounging on the diving board. The pool doesn't get opened till the week of the 22nd. Can't wait till we can all swim.

Katie is trying it out in a home starting today. We are still looking for the right home for a 2 year old male. 

The dogs had steak this morning. Not a soul had their head out of their bowl. Spoiled - nah. LOL

I have Monday off so I am going to go to winners to spend my gift card. Will it be for  me or  forf the dogs. LOL

Mud and Rain

It has been raining off and on. Some are napping as I type. Some REFUSED to go outside. Some that did go outside has black and muddy and stuck in branches on them that I cleaned off as Nathan was napping - Dennis too. LOL It is my day off.

Trigger has been playing a ton today. Maybe the rain got him excited. NOT! Mickey has been getting black.

We have puppy galore here. Newt came in barking as he wanted attention. Many corrections later in a stern voice he stopped. He barked to play. He barked to be picked up. He just found his voice but can't do that in a condo, can we? Axel came in licking and kissing everyone. No one minded though. The pups played so hard that they are napping. They are all having the best of times including Ms. Hazel. 

Ollie with his brilliant white coat keeps getting muddy. Someone chewed the head hair off Yoshi. We are not revealing who so I had to cut it back. It will grow again. Skylar was playing like crazy. Tenshi, Charlie, Teddy, Coco, Tchibo and Nicky has decided this wet stuff is not to their liking. Most do not like it including ours.

Nathan is up from his nap. I want to thank Bonham and Axel's parents for the belated birthday present. It is wonderful!!!We had Bonham in the kitchen and tv room with the others and Axel playing with the pups. When the pups went to go outside, Bonham chased and kissed Axel. Oh my gad I wish I had a video camera at the time. Missed moments but wow delightful.Hazel just departed and the rest of the pups are outdoors before more rain comes and they say soon.

Rain Buckets of That Wet Stuff

Here is the gallery.

If your dog is not in the gallery, it means they are sleeping with Nathan for a nap. We have a - what's your choice thang going on daily. Some choose to head upstairs and nap and some stay with Dennis and I. The ones in the gallery were watching Fallout with us. 

More dogs than usual decided nap was a desirable thing considering it is raining. There are some that consistently go up. Some change from day to day. 

It is raining buckets and I means buckets. There is no going outside. The dogs won't go out. There is no convincing them. 

It is my day off tomorrow. I would love to find a place that makes wonderful ramen. It's going to be rainy for days. Nothing like good soup to warm you up down to your bones. 

Hope you are surving this wonderful yucky and muddy outdoors. 

We have a puppy called Newt coming. I am beyond excited.

Toasty

Before it got toasty outside, play was grand inside and then it moved outside. I almost missed it due to grooming.

Things are growing outside but it is still too early to put the rest of the furniture our or the plants so we will be patient. Next 3 days cool and rainy. So much for ruining my day off (Friday).

Play has been heavy so I have to brush out the dogs departing as despite their grooms - well they played!

It is Nathan's day off. He is still answering the door as that is what he likes to do unless engrossed in a good book or tv show. I just finished Ripley on Netflix. Boy that was riveting but dark. I have it on in the background while grooming.

Dennis did a run thing with the dogs. They loved it. I am mighty tired. So that's the blog. Time to do dogs then eat. The dogs already ate!

Record Breaking Weather

I still am grooming. We have messy messy dawgs from playing so much. Shall I groom (my own) or watch tv? All visitors are now done. 

I did manage to eat barefoot out back with a short sleeved shirt and I was comfortable. Dennis kept pointing out the bugs that have presented itself. Green leaves are unfolding. Could it really be spring? Our pool opens up the week of the 22nd. 

We have a busy house at the moment. I am attempting to watch a show called Ripley on Netflix. I have dogs wanting to join me and they will when the blog is done. 

It is Nathan's day off tomorrow. 

I have a huge day of grooming as we have 7 dogs departing. Will I miss the warm day? Then days of rain will come. 

Dogs are going to revolt as they have really truly been enjoying these warmer times. Hope you are too.

In a week it is Dennis birthday and he always reminds me it snows on his day but also pointed out global warming. I guess that way he can't be wrong. LOL

Eclipse Day

It got blacker than black but no eclipse here. Our grand daughter was in Hamilton and got a gorgeous photo.

I had someone send me email - do not let my dog out during the eclipse. No dogs were out when it passed and you could tell as it got as dark as night but we had clouds here.

Dogs went out after it got light again. 

Dogs are having fun. 6 depart on Wednesday. We had many dogs dropped off so families could do the eclipse thing. They will go home after dinner. As it is Dennis day off, Nathan is doing dinner and took a number of photos. I took the rest. 

The weather is good. Things are starting to go green. Will we have snow again? I am sending Nathan to the pool store to pay for the opening. I can't wait to get pups in the pool. That will be fun. 

We had a slew of dogs chasing a rabbit today. They didn't even come close. It sure expelled their energy though.

Sun is shining. Dogs love it. It is Dennis day off tomorrow - Wednesday for Nathan and me not till Friday. I just have too much grooming to do it on Wednesday or Thursday. Hopefully it will be a warm day then. We shall see. I do not want to see any of that white flurry stuff.

Socks, Harlow, Hazel, Jersey, Kally, Marco, Logan and Panda has departed. I bet they are tired. Just so much expelling of energy going on. It helps the humans have some downtime too on their return. Dednnis is clearly not taking photos of everyone. Just asked him why and he sys it is all in the timing. LOL

Oh well, everyone played. Teddy looks so svelte these days. It is amazing.

Sunbathing Dogs

It is a small gallery. Dogs are truly enjoying this warmer weather sunbathing all over the place. Not too many photos. It's one of those days but you will see how they are enjoying that sun. I hope warmer times are coming. We need to book our pool opening early enough in case we need to contend with issues. We had enough last year that we are hoping not but this is such a high enjoyment for the dogs and us that we look forward to warmer times. 

A number of dogs depart tomorrow. Opus is no longer rubbing himself in the mud. Harlow did that last night. She gets bathed tomorrow to head home. It's her Daddy's birthday and we wish you an outstanding birthday weekend!

We are going to head outside to enjoy. Let's hope the cold weather is gone but I suspect it is not.

Sun and Play

Outside play occured today as we had sun then clouds but no rain. The dogs are loving it. It is a different type of play outdoors when it is not raining. 

The photo above is Daisy and Brodie. They seem to have the same stamina and fun. It was nice to capture. They played and played and played.

We also have pups here - Petey, Hazel, Rain and Hope playing like they are everready bunnies. 

We had a number of dogs arrive and 1 never arrived so I am hoping they are okay.

We had a squirrel that I swear was teasing Harlow. Animals are so funny.

Opus is still rolling here and there and becoming exceedingly like a wet rag. He will need grooming in a huge way.
