Fun in Bush

This is their hunt in the brush to find the rabbits game. It is a game and they never catch. It is simply about the pursuit.

We do not have many photos. Dennis and I are in recovery with Nami. 

I wanted to place up Halloween photos that were sent but I am totally wiped. I will try tomorrow.

Crazy Day

I had to do dogs that are due to go home tomorrow today - grooming due to Nami. One is still coming but she won't arrive till tomorrow and depart tomorrow. It's been a day. It's not only that I have to watch Nami, but I have to anticipate and groom ahead where I can. It's crazy.

It's wet outside. Dogs still have fun despite the weather.

We have another heat in a puppy - Kinsey - so I will really go nuts while Nathan is away. Gad help me. I broke down in tears thinking about it. All I can say is all the pups need to be good. 

I need to update Nami's blog so I am going to make this short but it is 423pm and Harlow is howling for her dinner. It makes me laugh!

Thank you to Magic's mom for the meat - so appreciated as cooking may not be easy with the Nami.

Terrible photo of Cinnamon. She had rolled and for some reason, years later, Nathan takes blurry photos due to his settings but eventually he will try to perfect his skills. So apologies.

Dogs are having fun. A number goes home tonight. My carpal tunnel is really giving me fits today so tylenol 3 and I am going to check Nami to see if any changes. 

Leaf Time

The leaves are coming down and the dawgs are having fun. The dogs are so happy playing through the leaves. It is a riot to watch.

Weather is cooler but not cold.

We had the pleasure of having Farleigh and Nica come just for the day. It has been delightful.

2 Blog Day: Happy 6th

Hi Darlah and Nathan, 

    Today is Bonnie’s birthday.  I can’t believe it, she is 6 years old already.  She is such a pleasure, and brings joy to me everyday!  I also see her bringing smiles to people’s faces when we are out and about.  She loves meeting people.  Her parents Adele and Stone make beautiful puppies!  Happy 6th Birthday to her litter mates…. Bailey, Marlie, Thunder and Finn!

Wonderful Weather Though Cloudy

It made it up to the 70s and now dropping but the weather is lovely!Bonham is visiting but having the time of his life - so is Bailey along with the rest! Harlow is back hunting. I think she lives for the hunt but doesn't have a clue what to do when she corners. I think the game is the chase.

As you know, I sleep with a bunch of dogs. I have flipped my mattress each time I wash my sheets and blankets. At the end of the bed, it is seriously like a round ramp. I need a new mattress but till then. I am piling up blankets at the end and have an old couch butted up to it. The dogs will slide between the couch and bed if I do not build it up with blankets. That's my funny story of the day. Dogs disappearing inbetween.

We decided not to bring on the lawn chairs till the white stuff flies. The dogs love sitting on them so.

Cassie is our front door greeter. We are busy training her how to greet. She so loves Hallie but was caught playing with Willow today. She insists Willow plays.

Before Bailey departed, she was playing up a storm. It was fun to watch.

It was rather wet outside so we hardly got photos. Think Shlomo was miffed at me for not letting him play outdoors but I didn't want him muddy so he had a quick out and in to do his duty. He looked at me as if to say, really?

All the dogs are enjoying themselves but its different when it is dry.

Fall Day Out Back

It's my last day off till after pups depart. I had a nice morning with Sherry but the afternoon - we went to get silly stuff. I will post about it in Nami's blog.

Dogs were playing heartily today. Dennis didn't take many photos. 

Nathan took Katie to the vet and she was deemed healthy. She just needs her teeth cleaned. That's next month. We did not want her to be placed before a full vet check up and teeth cleaning. I am sad. 

Tomorrow Nami goes to the vet and we setup the whelping area. That has already begun.

Going to get extra busy for Dennis and I.

I have been grooming since 730am. I just now semi finished. I really need to comb out a couple of more.

Good news, I mostly slept last night. Dennis took the pup in heat to bed with him and she was good as gold for him or either he passed out. LOL It all worked.

Dogs played and played today till they had to come in while they blew out out sprinkler lines.Then Nathan came down from his nap and out they went again. 

Nathan fed them a huge feast and out they went again.

Now it is tv time with Nathan and I have some dogs in here so the pup in heat can expel some energy playing. She's a very smart gal. 

I finally got my replacement heatpress but it sits in the front awaiting me to open. Skyler and Oakley arrived. Others departed. Tia and Benji depart tomorrow. I am grooming them just before bed as tomorrow is my day off.

It Feels Like a Long Day

Everyone is having a blast. We had arrivals and departures. Adele and River will be the last to go tonight. I am tired but managed to get 45 minute nap in - not intentionally - it just happened. 3 days of hardly any sleep does that.

Nathan is laying outside in his chair with a winter coat on with the dogs. He does that right after his nap. 

The dogs have truly enjoyed the play. it's only mid day and they have not stopped. That's okay. Some of them had naps too. They are rejuvenated.

Only 3 days till Nami's xray and then I should get her whelping box up. Belly shots are up on Nami's page. I decided to do her early though she is only 3 days before xray. Katie goes in for her complete checkup on Wednesday. It is my day off so Nathan will be taking her in.

Tired

I am seriously too tired to blog quite literally. 

Baths, Wildlife and Fun Interactions

Willow and Keke was doing a play dance. It was cute. Willow really likes her. Willow I just washed today as she managed to get this roll in a pool of water out back then rub her body through the soil and leaves. It took me many washes to get it all out but she is done. She never does this and she wasn't a planned bath today. Thank gad no one else did this craziness.

Dennis is on the hunt as he swears he hears an animal in our walk out in-between the rocks. He only hears in at night and wants it to move on. I went out and didn't hear a thing but tonight we will look again. Always something. It could be a squirrel. 

I had a press die and after fighting with them for over a month, I believe it is arriving but fed ex said tried to deliver today and no one at home. I called Fed Ex and said REALLY? We shall see if it gets delivered Monday but I did put in a report to make sure it does arrive. Why say you tried when you actually didn't. I have done without it for a month so.... 

Looking at clouds turning black so want to get the dogs out except Willow. LOL This way they can play outside before the rain.

I will tell you, Cassie doesn't sleep. She had me up all night and what is she doing now? Sleeping. I am going to have Nori play with her as they enjoy each other so as soon as she wakes up. KeKe enjoys the older dogs. Maybe because Nori, Keke and Yoshi are wild childs. 

What a Day

Had my dates wrong. First possible for Nami is October 28th. First Possible for Sage, November 13th. Sage can't have her xray till the 11th as Nathan is away. He will be in Aspen with his friends. Oh boy. He will be gone from November 5th till November 10th in evening. This means it is just Dennis and I. Don't ask me how I feel but Dennis will be up all night with Nami's pups and I will be doing dogs and pups on my own during the day till late afternoon. It will be very hard and I will have to make sure I have food, supplies etc as with wee pups I will not be able to go out and get anything. So, wish me well. I have anxiety.

On another good news scenario, Cassie - the pup is in heat. So we have to keep her with only the girls. Heats last 3 weeks. She's still here till the 4th so Nathan and I will have to split up and sleep in different rooms with me getting the girls. If she brings anyone else in, I will be in a looney bin. 

We are going in and out between wetness outdoors especially as I am grooming dogs and do not want them going home dirty. LOL

The dogs are having fun but some want to go out - others not. They say deep cold is coming. I hate cold... you?

I am tired and it is only 330. Trying to decorate Nami's whelping box. I am so not being creative. I am trying though.

Relax Day

Cali and Fenton are chilling and enjoying comfort. Everyone had a chill day. No hunting today but no Harlow here to hunt and get them all going. 

It was my day off and what did we do? Nathan took me to the Markham Costco, which I didn't enjoy. I like the Richmond Hill more. No bacon bits - no pistachios. Who likes grocery shopping? Then off to Marshalls as I have no pants that fit. Then off to get popcorn and home. Dennis watched the dogs while we were out. Nathan is now laying outside with the dogs.

I am trying to make designs for Nami's whelping box to make it look nice. My dear friend Sherry creates a new blanket for each new litter. This way the moms have something new. 

Dogs are playing up a storm as I type. It's dark but lights are on. Nathan is there and well its not too cool and that is 

It's Fun

Did you find anything? The dogs are simply funny looking for any movement. We have a lot of birds, as of late too. 

Ms Harlow is going home tonight. Brady went earlier. Jersey departs tomorrow.

Mr. Lachlan was here and had a total blast. He was sailing through the air non stop as he was in the photo above. He knows how to have fun. 

Me, I am getting in the mode to decorate Nami's whelping box just because I can. LOL I am going to try to sleep without a back brace tonight. It's my day off so if it doesn't go well, I am ok to lounge though I like to do things on my day off considering soon I won't have one. Tomorrow is the last of 2. 

It wasn't too cold outdoors today. I did walk out without a jacket. Nathan gets out daily to lay with dogs and read. 

Now to try to cuddle with the quiet dogs. heh

Cool But Dry

We are doing another short one today. After Nathan's nap, he is going to go to Shopper's to get me a muscle relaxant and some Pepcid AC. I have to get Jax done as soon as Nathan is back but he is such a good boy that with a back brace on, I should be fine. We will soon find out.

The dogs especially Chloe and Harlow are highly keen with any movement in the back yard.

Hunting

Dennis tells me that the dogs (not just these 2) were hunting a baby mouse. He says the mouse just stands there and looks at them. I guess it is cold so its looking for a home or the mom is doing something or other but Dennis is feeling sorry about it. I do not want mice in the house. 

I am doing a very short blog. We have departures and dogs coming. I had to cancel some groomings as when I did 1 today, my back started screaming. So today and tomorrow I will rest it. Really wish I didn't do this to myself.

Dancing Play

Dennis and I transplanted plants to bring indoors. Plus I heaved haul this and that and brought this plant in and that. I am not only exhausted, I am really sore. Plus we had groomings and dogs departing. Ms Charlotte above departs tomorrow and so does our resident Jamie. 

Nathan is out and about at a meeting tomorrow till 123opm. It will be a miracle if I am walking tomorrow so was hoping he was here for departures tomorrow. I am really in that much pain and it hasn't been long since I did all this work. It really was way too much. I best find my back brace.  As Nathan doesn't do anything physical these days, it lays on Dennis and I and today I felt my age. In my mind I am much younger than I am till I have days like this.

Dogs had fun despite all this - perhaps laughing at me while we worked. They seemed mighty gleeful. They danced indoors, played and ran outdoors. 

Tomorrow is a new day. Let's hope it is a better less strenuous one and my body has recovered.
