Oh Cooper, how do they ever get you to pose like that. This one deserves to be on the wall. You make Halloween look elegant. Happy Halloween to you too!
Please do send Halloween photos so I can post - if you want.
I love Trigger and Levon. They make me laugh. It's as if they say really mom? You best give me a treat after THAT! Love these photos too! Oh my gad cuteness indeed!
Adding photos as they come.
Oh Murphy how long did it take for you to get used to that hat. heh What a great sport you are and a cutie too!
Here's a throwback photo - Cali as a pup
Here is Jeannie as a pup.
Now does anyone know which puppy this was below?

Check out the gallery today. The Murphy is back and I want to tell you Nathan said Murphy is here and Saffron danced around like she won the lottery and well Murphy acted that way too. It was fun to see.
Caelen, Dolly, Brewer and Mia had a total zest of fun celebration today. Life was fun without rain but now we get to brush and brush. I usually brush first thing but I am finding the sense of brushing after the play is done.
Nathan was going to go to the show but he has decided not to. Between the heats and some virus going around the dog circuit, the pups are too important so we lose the $$ and that's okay too. We are still waiting for Panda to come in. Watch it will be the exact scenario of Roxie and Adele. Any bets?
Some dogs love it, some hate it.
Angela said this photo if Patches and said:
She insisted on going on the deck to catch raindrops in the worst of the rain so far. I just love her so very much. Hugs!
From me: What a riot she is. Love that spirit!
But I have been busy cleaning dogs so no update but this one and the puppy blogs.
Doozie wants to say a huge happy birthday to her siblings, Pacho, Gracie, Charlie, Marlee Sue and the late Baxter. Happy 5th Birthday!!
Here's a photo of Pacho that arrived.
They are both looking great!!
We try to take advantage of dry weather. We do play in all weather in all seasons but some are easier to play in. Today was one of those days. We started at 730am and although the dogs have had rest times between, they have been exceptionally busy playing. Here are some of the photos.
Even Adele was out doing some ball play. We did toy, ball and frisbee play and the dogs are having a TOTAL blast of fun!
Blurry but you get the idea that Teddy and Ella was playing up a storm. I am so busy that I am going to shorten this blog till further notice unless I have someone visiting and I have something fun to share. I want to get my dogs washed and get some down time. Nathan has a show coming up this weekend - gad help me so I have to get the dogs ready for that and hold down the fort. Plus with gals in heat - well I need ear plugs. hahahaha

Happy 5th Birthday to Chinooks siblings, Sparky in Montreal and having a senior moment but think maybe his sister is Frannie ?
Chinook had a good day, but he says it is mostly like every other day, playing, walking, running after squirrels, lots of rubs and cuddles but had beef tenderloin for his birthday dinner and Breeze so happy to share this with him!
We love to watch the blogs and the new pups and families that get to enjoy these pups and enjoy each milestone with them.
They really are our "heart dogs" !

From Us: Happy Birthday, Chinook, Sparky and Frannie.
I will create a gallery tomorrow. I am a tad tired and I managed to capture Ragus and Inula playing. Dogs got really badly wet. I was rinsing, blow drying and washing much of the day. I am tired. So tomorrow....
Ragus and Buster depart tonight and I am trying to keep them neatly groomed. It was tough with Reggie but we managed.
Dogs have had a blast but they have kept me very busy.
We are getting pockets of dry that allows us to play outdoors but I get to watch Benji before I go out and if Nathan doesn't keep him in, he will be washing him again without me. heh It's that mucky out.
I do have a gallery but I am disappointed. In all the raves about Buster and Ragus playing with Inula, and I have seen it myself, Dennis didn't click any photos of them playing except exceedingly blurry ones that I had to delete. Oh well, he tried and perhaps by tomorrow we will have many more opportunities. Ragus and Buster is not one of ours but if I come into the room they just run, jump on me and love my snuggles. This visit has been so good for them.
Pepper and Scruffy depart today and he did manage to click some of their play. They have been excited since the minute they got here. They have been playing non stop.
Reggie, Benji, Chase and Teddy have been having a total blast. The photos don't show how much but give you a tease. I have been smiling a lot watching them. Sorry for a short blog. It rarely happens but....
I don't pose dogs. I just capture them as they are - ala natural. So, I gave Dallas a bath, a haircut, layered her head and snipped around the inside of the eye so she could see and then tried to capture her. I would brush, then try to click and she rolled, she smooshed her face, she rolled. It was a riot. On the table when giving her a haircut we played, I snipped, we played, I snipped. She was a riot and such a challenge that I had to laugh. You see she's not used to thinning shears being near her eyes. Next time she will go - okay that's what that is. Feet, bum, body - no problem. It took me 10 minutes to bathe her and 2 hours to give her a haircut and dry her. But when we were done, she kissed me all over, played with me and it made it all worth it. She also didn't mind being on the table for so long as she was having fun. That's the key.
I will try to get a gallery up. We have some new dogs visiting and well cause I was grooming etc I have to see what Nathan captured. I am also very late in updates. Oh well - my life and it started at 5am today.
Okay enough juggling. There are VERY few photos in this gallery but when I said to Nathan did you take photos he said, not many. I played with the dogs vs. clicking. Hope that is okay. I said yes, of course. Hope you feel the same. We have Ragus here (not one of ours and has not been here in a long time) and his housemate Buster. Nathan wanted to make sure they felt very comfie. It's what we do. If someone hasn't been here for awhile we treat them as if they are new and we make sure they connect. When they connect with another, they are having a good time. We have never not been able to do this but how long it takes varies. But so good for them and for us. It really is important to us if the dogs are enjoying. It is what makes us smile.
Lynda invited me out tomorrow night so all 3 blogs will be short and sweet. I have not been out for a LONG time - not even to the grocery store so.... I am going and so appreciative as a break from non stop work will be fun. Hope you do not mind.
Here's the gallery from today. Nathan took the photos. I was grooming and washing and blow drying. :-) It's only a small snippet as he tends to like to interact vs. clicking the camera. I get that.
We have Scruffy and Pepper here. It's been awhile and we really missed them. They are having a total blast. I think they missed us too. They are sure acting that way!
Dolly was here for the day mixing things up. Teddy has been doing this quick walk when he is excited. It's so cute. Grace and Dolly have the same stamina.
Jeannie is playing with Saffron which is not the usual. Saffron is delighted.
It's been a very tiring but good day for the dogs.
Inula is having her heat but still nothing for Leti or Panda. They will be soon.
Tomorrow we have to wake up at 5am as our grand daughter has to be driven to the airport and she doesn't have a ride. So that means ALL of us get to get up. I hold down the fort. Dennis probably goes to bed for the day early and Nathan gets back in time for breakfast.
Going to be a long day tomorrow. :-)
Click on Photo for Larger ViewThis is Raylan and Caelen. Caelen is a Panda and Kat pup and Raylan is an Abigail and Kat pup. Abigail is Panda and Roxie's mom. Now who is who?
Caelen is here having a total blast. But it keeps bloody raining. So in and out play. She started out - oh my gad and is now comfie and is playing. Good one!!
To complicate things Inula is in heat. Kat and Truffie are being kept separate but it was a riot when they both tried to mount her and she would just walk away. Guess she is too tall but gals can lay down etc so its a must to keep them apart for 3 weeks. We do not want accidents.
Here's a gallery. I need to wash another dog. Each day I am doing one of mine along with the rest.
This is Truffie as a puppy. He is a chocolate. You must have chocolate and be a carrier on BOTH sides.
This is Truffie a bit older but a close up. He has a brown nose. Only chocolates have brown nose and brown pigment on pads unless they are diluted and happen to be a carrier.
Read Roxie's blog later on today to see why I posted photos of Truffie.
So no more for today on this blog.
Dolly comes to visit us a couple of times a week to expel some energy and that she did. This gallery is just a small sliver of the gang playing. They have a blast even if it is raining - which it was today so we just made sure they played their hearts out inside and outside.
Soon we have to gather up leaves, attempt to get them in bags and watch the dogs jump through them as they do each year. Now that will be a futile attempt at getting them in bags - you just watch.
Raylan, Mac and Monty are here and did you know Monty barks like Risa - same voice. What a riot!
Murphy and Saffron is at it again. Time for a bath tomorrow Murphy as it's time for you to rest from getting so tuckered out. They had a blast today. Here's today's gallery. Brewer just LOVED Murphy and well was trying to hump her and she just ignored him. They also played.
Oh Teddy will you be laying in my lap when we watch the voice tonight? Or will Grace or Mac, Monty or Raylan? Okay, Nathan and Dennis you can have some too. :-)
We had a great but busy day. Everyone had a blast!
We think Inula is coming into heat. That means Panda and Leti will be soon. Shoot me now.
Tomorrow I will try to go back to doing galleries for the adults but we did manage to click a couple. Here is Patches with Momma Jeannie. Patches is freshly cleaned and Jeannie needs a bath. As Adele pups edge up on 18 days it is a reminder that its almost 3 weeks since the last baths.
Nathan Took With IpadTime to play catch-up. This happens each litter. I rush to get them done ahead of time and then play catch-up at the 3 week mark. Today Leti was done. Slowly they are all getting done. Both moms were done yesterday. Me, I need a one day period to get rejuvenated. hahaha Whatever that is...
It is obvious that Patches knows who Jeannie is and Jeannie knows who she is.
Teddy is back visiting. He's feel really at home. Ty departs any minute.
Life is good. I just need some oomph to get photos taken, build a gallery and share them here. I will get it done. I think the guy in my life has other things on my to do list. Oh, and of course when placing the pups outside of their whelping box my laundry just increased dramatically.
But we still manage to have a blast.
Blogs will be late tonight. I had to wash 5 dogs and much more so stay tuned but later.
Saffron for the first time is visiting overnight at her sister Murphy's house. They both come back tomorrow. Miss her already. Now I know how Murphy's mom feels. :-)
Dogs here are doing great but its a no photo day. I really need some down time and I have yet to comb everyone out.
Had to share a photo we received from Christine with Clarity and her pal at the park. Christine is doing really well with Clarity getting her exposed to many dogs.
Here is Brewer inbetween the rain. He could care less if he goes into the plants and gets soaked.
But then there is Grace who said are you joking? It's wet and well no thank you very much but we take them out in all weather. They have to learn to embrace the fun of bad weather. hahahaha Or maybe what it is really about is WE as humans need to.
Have a great weekend.
Kat Getting Ready for ShowingThis is a memory (video) that I pulled up on Facebook. I point it out as the dogs do have fun on the pool cover but that dog sporting a short coat that looks almost grey and white is Logan. In short hair he looks like that but in longer hair you can see he is a beautiful sable. Short hair often gives an appearance of lighter and of course you cut off the tipping never to come back again. Logan now is sporting a long coat and you can see his sable is evident.
Logan in a Short CoatSables do go lighter and darker throughout their lives. Brindles do too but have an irregular colour coat distribution. At times it is hard to distinguish between a sable and a brindle. Both can sport black masks that fade or get retained.
Roxie almost went a pure cream colour at one point and now she is back to being an apricot in appearance. If you look real close you see many shades in her coat. Adele is similar. Their mother was the same.
Logan With Truffie in a longer coatWhite coats will always remain white with the exception of ticking (black bleeding through). Dark coats can change. Blacks can have an appearance of grey or brown. You can get colours bleeding through and therefore you get to see coat changes.
I find the Havanese coat fascinating. Kat was a black and white as a puppy. He is now a silver and white. The photo above is Kat when I was maintaining him for the show ring. Now he is older. He plays and I am not so particular about him being perfectly groomed though he gets a bath every 2 weeks. Nathan always likes to show him off just before I bathe him or brush him or so it feels like.
Logan as a PupLogan is not our breeding but he is related to our lines.
His father was Abigail's brother. It means both Roxie and Adele, Panda and Ella are related in various ways to him on one side. The other side was from a Cuban gal that our friend Yvonne owned called Lola.
This photo here is Logan as a pup. It appears he was a brown sable. He transformed into an apricot sable. He still has brown in his coat. It just means he has more apricot than brown so the apricot is more apparent.
Sables are a multitude of colours.
