Busy Day

Sorry - its a busy day as Nathan is in Ottawa at a wedding and its just Dennis and I. I also had a number of baths to do and we still managed to run with the dogs next door, get everyone groomed and pups taken care of. Nathan also has his camera and Dennis finds Nathan's camera easier to take photos with. So, this is what we have.

Molly and Zoe before their bath hanging out. They have since gone home to be the play monkeys they are.

Darcy has also departed and Cha Cha is mauling Adele in play - Adele is enjoying it. But when Darcy was here Cha Cha was playing with her nonstop.

Harper is a play with anyone kind of a dog as you can see here. He is Adele's sister and he likes her the best. Funny but he must remember her.

Harper has such striking greys, blacks throughout his coat. He would have been a stunning show dog.

Tia is playing her heart out as she does normally. She's here for a bath and trim.

Cha Cha is a happy, happy dog and has been having an amazing amount of play.

Its starting to get quiet around here as the Labor Day comes to an end tomorrow. People's holidays end. Kids head back to school. Weather gets cooler - please no.

We had a ton of fun but many of the photos I would have liked were way too blurry but hey Dennis tried and that's how we learn. :-)

Oh Boy

Well these photos were taken this morning. That means I do not have any of Molly and Zoe or anyone else as it seems the camera was put in the van to go to Ottawa. (He's since taken it out as he said Darlah do you want the camera stolen?) You see Nathan was thinking of me missing the wedding and thought it would be nice if he took photos so I felt I was a part of it in some small way. Well, I have a camera too but I was using it for the pups and I assumed Dennis was taking photos so none were taken.

I will tell you that Oreo is almost human - I swear. He just left. I watch him on the lounge chairs letting the cool breeze go through his hair and he has this look as if this is heaven.

Molly, Zoe and Cali have been TROUBLE in a good way. They have been running off and on, in and out of rooms. This I wanted captured. Oh well. It's been fun listening, watching and laughing at their antics. Maybe I will get something in the morning with MY camera.

But this morning the trio was playing like crazy dogs too. Here is a bunch of them in action. Dennis did capture that. Grace, Molly, Zoe and Darcy depart tomorrow so I best get clicking between baths and feedings first thing. Here is hoping I managed to do it. Plus Harper has just arrived - fun - fun - fun - Adele's brother!

Everyone is doing well but I am on pup feedings vs. Dennis at night so I will get what I can up. :-)

Stella Home: 2 Updates Today

Hi Darlah,and Nathan:

Again, another huge thank you. Three years ago today this angel CAME HOME with me. My dad will often ask do you think Stella knew she would be so loved when she came home with us'? We have started our tricks are for dogs classes at whos walking who - so much fun. Bye for now Valerie and stella.

Spice's hair is coming in nicely. I will wait one more bath and will trim her up. Hair rarely grows even. hehe Show dog people just tell you it does. :-)

Nathan is out laying with all the dogs enjoying the breeze. I took the dogs next door, watered plants and now I am back for another feeding. Dennis is in bed sleeping. He is not feeling well so if he wakes up not well I will be the one up all night. If that is so, I may have to take a nap. We shall see. The pups are too young to fend for themselves. That is why 4 weeks apart for each will be an ongoing - no sleep till the last are 4 weeks. It means about November 12th we will actually have a full night sleep. Crazy us! Remember pups don't go upstairs till 4-5 weeks old without us but with a camera and in hearing distance. Just when Jeannie is about to, Roxie's will arrive.

We had a blast today. Look later tonight for belly shots of Roxie and a puppy gallery in their respective blogs.

No Rest for the Weary

But the black and whites looked like they have resting to an art. Panda seems to be showing early signs of pregnancy getting morning sickness already. Looks like it will be 4 weeks, 4 weeks and 4 weeks - yikes. It will be fun.

Odin just had a bath and haircut. He is a master wriggle worm on the table. I had to laugh. You have to be creative with him. Then he rolls and messes himself up. You sure he's not a Spice pup. hahahaha

Lucy was also over to play and get a trim and bath.

She decided to pose for me. :-)

No one swam today. We had things to do and dogs to play and wash and groom. :-)

Now that I am back to being messy Mommy and Daddy will come and get me and that human will have to brush me up again. I have her figured out. That's how to get an extra treat, don't ya know?

Oh My So Very Hot

Just a few photos - not many after yesterday. I ran out of steam. Its mighty hot and I had several baths to do. The dogs didn't even want to hang outside so we did a lot of playing indoors with the air conditioning. I tend to take less photos indoors.

We are still waiting for the rain. I did manage to get in the pool between puppy feedings. Nathan is at handling class.

Just a short blog today. Other than playing, grooming, chillin' and lots of snuggles we are just chillin'.

Mabel had a bath and is on her way home. Her human brought me the most beautiful roses - wow thank you!

Teddy departed and his parents gave me a huge compliment. They didn't recognize him at first and kept telling us how wonderful he looked. That also made my day - nice day and finally feeling like I am recovering from Nathan at shows etc.

We miss you already, Teddy!

Oreo settled in for a comfortable nap.

I think he thought if he played asleep we wouldn't take him in the pool. :-) That's okay. You were i good company as the others didn't want to do either besides the ones that did.

Sunny Daze

I call it a sunny daze as it finally was warm but we were missing our pop ups. I didn't know just how much the dogs appreciate them till they were at the show all weekend. Tomorrow they will be up and the dogs will be celebrating. Instead we found refuge in the shade up on the deck. Oreo was sitting with me just melted into the pillows. Can you blame him?

Nathan is now back till he heads for a wedding Sunday just for the day. Daisy gal will depart first thing - sigh plus Mabel and Teddy.

Weeds, weeds go away hahahahaha

I tried to coax the dogs into the pool. No one wanted to though Daisy did walk on the stairs and got her legs wet. I got a small window to swim today. Thankfully I can watch pups from my ipad. Glad I got a camera. It was an expense that really gave me the ability to wash dogs but still see what the pups are up to.

Cali really liked the makeshift tunnel I made of the raft.

Teddy's nails were done today. When I remember I do them the day before so its less stress at bath time.

It's not the same without the shade.

Oreo was smiling, I think he likes when there is no rain and we hang outdoors.

Now what she was thinking when Daisy made this face - well I couldn't tell you but she was playing. :-)

I had a bath - bet yiu that you can't tell as I am a drop and roll dog after baths.

Goldie lost her gold and hair. It will grow back but think she lost that sable gold at least for now.

I have more photos but I am out of steam. Mostly as I am also doing show photos for the club and there are a ton of those. You have to delete all the ones that make dog or human look bad. It's tedious.

So, I am going to finish those, snuggle with the hubby and dogs and be thankful that it may be a sunny day tomorrow.

Partners in Crime

Daisy and Darcy have been partners in crime of the fun type today. Those two have managed to get everyone else going. But I let my battery die and its now charging and funny my ability to take an iphone photo was taken away as Nathan had the phone. How is that for a run on sentence.

We are all good. We are actually laughing and having fun. I was even caught dancing with the dogs. Shh thank gad the camera was dead. But use your imagination. It was a riot.

Not Many Photos Today

Sorry I don't have a slew. Dennis was using my camera. Nathan had his at the show. My camera is a tad more complicated so less quality photos come out when Dennis is snapping but he is learning. I love that he is.

Oreo goes where are the cushions? It kept saying rain so the pool didn't go on and well the cushions didn't get placed out. Silly us.

Teddy joined us today and he has adapted really quickly.

We still used the furniture. It was just not as comfie. The dawgs don't seem to mind. I do.

They had a massive run next door and I mean massive and they just finished another one in our yard.

I think Oreo's fave part of the day is the running and I suspect its true of all!

We ran, we played and now Dennis is sleeping and Nathan is running with the dogs. It dawned on me Dennis didn't capture Pepper and Scruffy and they were a riot today. Oh well, he is also sharing the camera with me until Nathan returns home. By Sunday night that is a thing of the past. Hooray. :-)

Will It Rain?

Dennis decided to do a run with the dogs. What that means is he runs like crazy and the dogs chase him. It's a fun game for the dogs. Dennis is dead tired after it. Only Oreo kept up till the end. He was the last dog standing so to speak.

Truffie and Daisy were neck in neck when I caught this but Daisy beat him and if you can see that smile, she is happy about that!

Darcy took a liking to Lucy who visited us today. Lucy is not one of ours but she came to play with the guys, get brushed up and well enjoy. That she did!

Here is the Lucy gal wondering why the dawgs were all running like crazy. So we got up on the furniture and watched and clicked and snuggled.

Coco and Doozie made the run about halfway through and fizzled out.

The gals who took her under their wing as if they were one of their pups was sad to see her go but she will be visiting again soon.

It was a fun day!

Tonight I wash Buddy as he will be in his first show. Nathan will be ring stewarding early morning till afternoon. Wish I could be there to see him. Oh well....

Sunny Daze

I titled this appropriate as we finally had a sunny day and the dawgs wanted to be out as much as possible. I guess they are like humans and like to take advantage of the nice weather. Me too.

So as soon as the cushions came out the smiles arrived and so did the laying out at the pool, jumping through my day lilies and much more.

I think Coco was exceedingly delighted when I took out the chair pads as that meant she could lounge outside under the popups and well enjoy life! No rain - hooray!

There were no shortage of fun including Oreo finding it more fun to jump through the day lilies vs. around them. He was delighted with himself. At first I thought it was a need not to go around but then he was jumping through them as if this is a game and it was for him - over and over again. I laughed and laughed.

I truly believe the dogs had an ah ha moment as they realized they had a full day without rain coming down. I too think they were growing weary of this thing that someone said was summer but surely was acting like spring.

Daisy and Roxie were hanging out. Roxie was waiting for Daddy to swim. Maybe tomorrow its Daddy's turn? We shall see with the weather.

Daisy rather enjoyed watching me swim. No dogs went swimming today. They waited till I climbed on the chairs and then they crowded me in as they so enjoy!

Doozie thinks the summer sun was overdue and only wanted to come in when there was food to be fed.

Oreo decided climbing up on the chairs up on the deck next to Dennis was the absolute best. He just LOVES, LOVES, LOVES Dennis and Jonathan.

Darcy tried the jump through the day lilies thing that Oreo was doing and decided it wasn't for her. heh

It was a great time - weather, fun and well chillin'. Yes, even the dogs love to chill and lounge at the pool too. Go figure and its never more obvious after the amount of rain we have had. Let's hope the sun stays and the weather people are wrong.

Today after grooming everyone got a dehydrated chicken strip. Yum!

Big Run

Our neighbors has our yard with just grass and a few plants so Dennis took them and ran and ran with them as we are taking care of their plants etc. He says he is exhausted, heh but he had a ton of fun and so did they. After Nathan is back maybe tomorrow if our neighbor is not back I will take photos. Today one of us has to be with pups and the other with the dogs. Its working except for taking photos.

Daisy and Zoe are having a blast with each other. Today Coci and Doozie seems to be tired after the crazy run with Dennis. Oreo thought he went to heaven. He LOVED, LOVED the run.

We are having fun but clicking photos are not a priority. The term you can't be in 2 places at once is true.

Today Play

Put Jeannie's blog here - shows where my mindset is. Its now on her blog. I am putting up photos Dennis took of the dogs playing.

Daisy is such a poser. She LOVES the camera and her new haircut and slimmed down look really suits her. She is back to being a busy fun gal.

Socks departs soon and he had a bath this morning. Thank you Jeannie for cooperating as he really needed it.

Darcy and Socks played and played and then Leti (we call her Lettuce) and Doozie joined in.

They all played their hearts out.

Then Dennis had this idea to take the dogs next door and run but I didn't have the camera. It was a bit challenging as Jeannie is in labor. But they ran and ran and I watered their plants (they are away), fixed a trellis and cleaned up a bit. Now that this blog is done and Dennis is now watching tv, I need to concentrate on Jeannie. Seems she is in stage 2 labor now.

Rain, Rain, Go Away

It sounds like a broken record but please....

This is a no photo day. It is now raining. Everyone was out just before. Daisy and Darcy dropped in and Daisy is looking svelte and mighty cute - Darcy too but Daisy was on a must get weight off thing and she managed to. Now I need to do the same. hahahaha

We have all been groomed, watching tv and relaxing. We have been mighty productive early. We are even dehydrating chicken but the son only got 2 packages so a small snack for everyone and that's it. :-( The dogs love it so!

I have to wait till Nathan gets back to get more. Oh well...

The Faces Have It

Had some really happy, happy dogs today. Weather was coolish. We played a great deal. I groomed everyone and we played some more. Each night I say I am going to bed early and we are always late. It just takes that long to get it all done.

Nothing for Adele at the show today. I heard it was 40c there - ouch. She's not dealing with the heat all that well. An American big time pro won the show for the 3rd time. Phantom did win veterans!

Now on to the happy faces I captured today.

Thank you Truffie for being such a good boy despite Panda being in heat. You deserve an extra treat! I celebrate in 5 days - heats done!

Rain Threatens

Well weather is usual. Why even mention it as its the same old miserable. Here are a few photos I managed to click. We are busy, playing and having a good time and I keep taking them out hoping we stay semi-dry.

It is pretty windy as you can see.

Leti and Pepper and Scruffy have been looking for trouble - well not really but boy are they having fun.

Ty is visiting while his mom and dad head to a movie and then he will go home. The crew seeing it is NOW raining is in with Dennis in the tv room and out in the kitchen playing and staying dry.We have had a game of retrieve, a game of find the ball and bottle.

Coco and Doozie have THEIR fave spots and they seem to be creatures of habits as most are. They relish tv time and oh Coco says this bed is all mine! Each time she visits she claims it!

Oh and Adele came in second in the All Breed Show - isn't eating and think she wants to be home. Hope she feels better. :-(  Its a no pointer. :-)

Quieter But Busy

Its threatening to rain but didn't. It will tonight. That doesn't mean I got pool time. It was but a dream. Poor Roxie is vomiting and hardly eating. She's dealing with morning sickness so I had Jon get me shwarma for her. She ate that but nothing else. Will have to get more as he only got me a tiny container. I guess I need to be more specific.

Nathan has arrived at his destination just about now. He is in West St. Paul Manitoba. He had to drive to Sudbury then further north to Paula's mom to drop off the kids then for 2 days they are driving. Weather has been chilly and Nathan didn't take a sweater but he did order a Specialty sweatshirt so he does have that.

Ty has been splendid. He almost looks dreamy in this photo. He has been playing and playing even more than teh usual. We wrapped ourselves with blankets and sat outside cuddled up for a bit. Everyone was groomed.The above photo is Spice snuggling in messy as ever Spicy style.

Leti decided it was too cold for her and wanted in when I captured this.

Cali decided to smell the plant and that tells me its time to change the soil. Maybe tomorrow?

Coco and I was trying out her commands. She is amazing!

Doozie decided Dennis was more fun and was playing run games with him. Socks joined in. Then the rest did. Okay Dennis you upstaged me with the dogs. Here I am trying to do commands and well you are simply PLAYING.

Socks thought Dennis had a better idea. Me too but hey I tried.
