What a delightful day weather wise. Dogs are thrilled. We have a number departing today, tomorrow and the 2nd. I am laughing as I looked at Pablo and went oh boy are you a mess and I combed him out. He plays so much, he just wears the look.

Ms Harlow is departing tonight. She really has been singing for her meals. Maybe it is the competition but she so loves to eat. She so loves this weather. She is chilling on the couch outdoor in mega comfort. She's a riot.

Zach really has his groove on. Each new dog that comes he plays with. I could go on but back to grooming.

I had a Leti puppy here called Beau. It was delightful to see him.

Crazy Long Day

I started this morning at 730am and finished just now grooming. I am eating salad while I blog and probably pistachios for dessert. Just too late to eat heavy. 

Dogs played all around me while I groomed so I know they were having a great time. These pads up above is Dennis pads he used to do VR gaming. It was his day off and because Nathan hardly took photos, between dogs, I took photos. Nathan took the ones outside. It is Dennis day off. 

Think Sherry told me it was freezing outside. Nathan had a lot of outdoor time. I never made it out the door literally. 

We have a groove going on. The dogs are really tight with each other. They watch. They play. They have a great time.

Kandoo Swims and Lots of Play

It is my day off so short blog. I have videos of Kandoo swimming. I will get to it after dinner. The videos will be found here.

Kandoo did really well swimming using her tail as a rudder. She is a strong swimmer.

People do not know where the galleries are. Each day I hotlink a gallery of the dogs. They are all having fun. Tobi is a HUGE player - so is King Kong, Coco, Pablo, Ozzie, Charlie, Teddy, Tobi, Zach and our crew. Yes, this is the last week before school and we have a full but very fun house.

It is my day off. I get to spend time with Murphy and Sherry and I had Dairy Queen which is rare as Nathan can't have. I need to get Costco pistachios so if anyone is going, I have cash.

Nathan had a credit card compromised. Charges such as food from Loblaws, Cannabis, electronics etc. They went to town but Nathan cancelled immediately when he started getting alerts on his phone - did you buy this? We have to wait over a week to get a new card but better safe than sorry. He figures it had to be from a gas station as that is all he uses it at. Be careful, folks. Track your charges.

As Dennis didn't have a day off last week as Nathan was at the dog show, Dennis gets 2 days this week off. Lucky boy. He gets to game play.

Tonight we are going to watch a movie and chill. I am eating dinner as I blog. I will be surrounded by dogs as I sit on the couch and Nathan sits on the recliner. He gets a few and I will get the rest with the exception of Dennis and his lineup of chairs so the dogs have chairs to sit on and watch his gaming. There are times he has a dog in his arms while he plays. It is a riot!

They are so Playing

The dogs are having a complete blast. They are running, hiding and well chilling too. 

Harlow was highly fascinated when she saw a bird in the water bath. I swear she acted like a cat swatting at it. Bird actually ignored her and went on drinking.

The younger set has been full speed ahead playing with each other. 

King Kong and Panda are fitting in quite nicely! Pablo - well we all know about him.

Vivi, Willow and Buddy departed.

It's a Birthday Celebration. Amy came for her cleanup. Sadie sent a photo - well her momma did. 

I need to bathe Katie but trying to figure out short or long? What do you think? I haven;t seen her in a long coat since she left.

Wishing Sadie and all her siblings a very happy birthday today.  I don’t remember all their names….I do think Tenshi is one of them.  As you know, Sadie is a much loved member of our family. We are so very thankful for her!

End of a Crazy Weekend

Here is today's gallery.

I have to say, it's been a very busy but fun weekend. We had a number of day visitors today. Dogs departing early, dogs departing late. We are busy till after school starts in September.

Brusha-brusha was me. I had way too many dogs that arrived matted. My hands hurt. It is tedious work. Oh well, it is what it is.

Dogs are playing. We were wishing it was warm enough to swim. It isn't. I did put on my swimsuit and then gave up.

I have a massage thing that fits on a chair so I put it on my recliner and turned it on. Hallie hogged it. She has a new love. LOL I only had the vibrate on but still. It is really a junkie device but every now and then I give it a try in hopes it is better than it is. Now I know at least one dog likes it. I do have a calf and foot combined massager that the kids bought me years ago. It is amazing. The dogs can't use that as they can't fit their legs in. 

My garden is a true mess. I brought in tomatoes and cucumbers and squash - green beans too. Going to miss the lack of fresh. Not been a great summer weather wise. 

Dennis tells me he is planning a scavenger hunt. Dogs that can't have treats will have a different fun game. He so loves playing games with the dogs.

Dennis says a deep appreciation to Rosie's humans for the Steam gift certificate. He is beyond excited and has been having fun trying to choose. He rarely gets a treat but boy he was so excited. 

Dogs enjoyed sitting on the couch outside with me. 

Short Blogging It

Some like the rain - some not. It has been raining off and on. Thunder was loud last night and no one blinked an eye. 

The dogs are enjoying each other immensely.

I can't believe Coco the maltese departs tomorrow. She will miss being "I am top dog' It is so funny as the havanese treat her like another havanese. A number of others depart tomorrow including the 2 Leos. 

Everyone had fun. The day has not finished but I still have 2 two dogs left to groom.

Fun Was Had

This will be a short blog. I have had a long day. I started grooming at 730am and literally just stopped at 740pm. I am toast. 

Yes, you will see Willow - not our Willow but visiting Willow playing with the pups. She loves them. 

Kinsey jumped in the pool so I would have been done an hour earlier as she was an addition to my schedule.

The dogs did have fun and some hung out with me while I groomed. I ate lunch while grooming. Hair is wonderful in food - don't you think? 

Just When We Thought

Well, not the great weather that we thought it would be. Keeps sprinkling but it is warm. My day off is almost to an end. I went to Longos, Shoppers and Dollar Tree. I hope my next day off is more exciting.

Vivi is still not excited about the rain but she seems smittened with Zack. It's funny. They are growing weary of this got to get out before and between the sprinkles.

We have a number of dogs departing and a number coming tomorrow. Kids are going to university and well for those with kids, they are fitting in their last hoorah, I suppose. LOL I do not blame them. Even our daughter is bringing Adele and River. 

Coco - we won't talk about her but let's just sy she thinks Stone's back is worth laying on doing something or other.

Now Chloe likes the rain. Barney seems to as well. Fudge keeps getting excited with the 2 girls in heat. So, they are isolated in my office and that's okay.

Socks has no green things on him - hooray. Rocky and Coco rolled all over in the tv room. I am not sure what game they were playing but Coco thinks she is on a cruise ship and she's the entertainment director.

Tobi arrives soon and Fudge, Tuppy and Yoshi are going to be delighted.

Me, I am going to have a lollipop.  

I combed out Ozzy today and he was so bloody excited about the fresh chicken treat I gave him. I often take a slice and cut it up for grooming treats when Nathan cooked it today. Usually I don't groom on my day off but Nathan handed him to me and said he can't see. I think next day off I sit outside all day and put earplugs in. You think that will work? I don't! Unless I am out, it's laundry, pickup and well the dogs had a treat and I bought tootsie roll pops. How decadent.

Wet and Damp

Vivi looks as if she is saying - really - you made me go out in THIS? She wasn't the only one. No one wanted to hang out in the damp. The only one that said wee this is fun is Daisy. 

I am hoping tomorrow is a nicer day. 

I actually had a better sleep last night but the dogs were all over me and I felt like I couldn't move. It was a riot. Usually they snuggle but don't act like they are a second skin. It was funny - endearing... and a non moving event.

Nathan is now home and the dogs are a riot. Oh - it's you that is home - where you been for 2 days. LOL

I have been brushing teeth, checking bums, ears, pads. You should be doing that sort of stuff. LOL Sounds ridiculous but necessary. 

We had a power outage today. It went on forever. I was surprised. We haven't had one for a long time.

Barney and Chloe saw a hummingbird in the backyard and was so fascinated by it. It was as if magic entered the yard for them.

Tomorrow is my day off. I may stay in bed in the morning. LOL

Playing Catchup

Nathan was at the dog show. He is now home snuggling with dogs. 

I have been busy combing out dogs here and there. I just combed out Tenshi and hope she survives intact without knots as she is playing like crazy. She is getting picked up anytime.

We have dogs departing - dogs coming and I have not looked at my grooming list tomorrow but Nathan is at a dog show again. Me, I want a nap. Nathan is busy HOGGING and I tell you HOGGING the dogs. They love it so that's okay.

Messy and Busy

It's a messy day today. No one got brushed or washed except dogs going home today. It has been exceedingly busy. Today we went to Ruth's funeral. I broke out in hives from so much stress but I got through. So did Nathan that has been on a journey of stress. Dogs get us by literally and smiling faces at the door to drop off and pick up.

Tenshi, above rolled all through the grass. Let's say she couldn't help herself.

We have puppies - 3 of them having the time of their life. No one plays quite like puppies.

Harlow decided the top perch was hers in the tv room since the day she started visiting. Well, Pepper said it's mine. They had a staring match. Nothing physical but Pepper decided the other bed on the other side was more desirable till Nathan sits down and Coco the maltese and Pepper will wrap themselves around his head as if they are a neck pillow. Got to get a photo of it. Harlow will smile. She does smile.

Vivi has picked me as her person. She just gets so excited when I come back into a room. She follows me out to my office and there she will remain as happy as can be. 

Bria has departed. Dennis looked at her and said is that Bria as she had a shorter hairdo. It was funny. Lulu is going home now.

Get this, Coco, Leo, Charlie and Teddy have been playing for the last hour. They keep hunting in the brush. Nothing there that I can see but they think so. Dennis is out there with them trying to figure it out. LOL

Swim and New Faces

I have 2 more dogs tonight so I can go to the funeral tomorrow and then another 1st thing. Today we had to go to the funeral home, bring all the paperwork to Ruth's mom to get her to sign off and set everything up. Mom is in a wheelchair so it is hard to get to the funeral home and hard to get to the grave site. 

We have been busy collecting eulogies and passing them on to the cantor. It is and has been a process. 

After that Nathan had to go to the show to do set-up. Tomorrow we go to the funeral and Tuesday and Wednesday Nathan goes to help at the show. So, Thursday maybe normalcy? We decided we each need a day off after the shows are over. I thought next week it was impossible so Thursday it is for me. Friday for Nathan and Sunday for Dennis. 

No pool today for me but we did promise Nica's family we would get her in the pool with her mother Ella. I really felt like we didn't have it in us but we did and then Nathan had to go to the show. We literally had this small window to get it done. She is a strong swimmer. Didn't shake. Just swam along but twice was enough this first time. It is interesting as it was the same for Yoshi and now she is swimming.

Hallie and Nami just came into heat so look like Fall pups will arrive. It is 63 days from breeding and breeding is about a week away to begin then 63 days from conception. We start again.

We have a number of dogs here. As you will notice Coco lays on top of Stone many times away. He doesn't seem to mind. 

Everyone has been enjoying. But now I have dogs to wash.

Gazing at the Pool

Sorry - just a short blog. It was warm. It is supposed to be warmer tomorrow. You see that dog in the middle - Cinnamon? I combed her completely out and look at her now? I so laugh. Each night that gal takes a toy in her mouth and wriggles her whole body hitting me in the face with a toy.

Juggling

Ruth passed at 512am this morning.

I will be juggling Sunday and Monday's grooming. Sunday we need to go to the funeral home to do a video with Ruth's mom to make decisions. She is in a wheelchair and can't go to them. Nathan feels he can't do this alone. Monday, most likely the funeral will occur. So, I will be grooming inbetween everything. Nathan is supposed to be at a dog show working it on Sunday till Wednesday.

Lots of grooming today too.

Feels Like Fall

Maki and Jax are getting along famously. Maki goes home tonight and Jax will be tired.

Ms Coco the Maltese has been caught laying on Nathan's legs outside. She is the queen of all she surveys. I could go on and on about everyone having a blast and they truly are. The cool weather seems to have invigorating them.

It is Nathan's day off.

I may put on socks as my feet are cold. I have a ton of blankets on my couch in here and many of the dogs are making the most from it. 

I asked Nathan to get me a chocolate treat like Turtles or Costco pistachios and he forgot. Nathan has been extra good about his diet and he is forcing me to be as well. Will I ever survive? I can't even have Dairy Queen due to him. But I made him a lovely fish meal today. Guess who will have the leftovers - not Dennis who hates fish of any type but of course cut up in little pieces, the dogs. They went crazy for it. I guess the dogs have more taste than Nathan. Okay - maybe I can't cook fish. The dogs can thank me that I do such a poor job!

PatchesAbbyPatches and Abby, along with Radar, have made our lives complete.  Liz, Ed, and I thank you so much for allowing us to bring these little darlings into our homes and be part of our families.  The joy they bring us is immeasurable.  Radar is here because he wanted you to know he joined in the party.  Best, Angela

No Rain YET!!!!

They say a big storm is coming tonight but so far the sun keeps playing peek-a-boo. The dogs love it that way.

We have the electrical getting fixed in the pool house. He comes back tomorrow. I am tired of breaking things. GO AWAY!

Nathan is making dinner and he has the avid attention of all the dogs. No barking for the supper without Harlow. I laugh. 

Nathan works at the show - I didn't realize from Sunday to Wednesday. Joy...

Dogs mostly lounged. It is Dennis day off so no running crazy today. Tomorrow they will expel their energy in a huge way. I just played retrieve  and not all thought that was fun. Lady, you have to run to have fun! But my hip is bothering me - think rain coming so I am taking the Nathan way of dealing - not to run. LOL

Raccoons are indeed next door - not in our yard and I think they are in his pool house. We see a hole. They never opened their pool and although they have cars in the driveway, no one responds so I left a note. I would want to know. So far, they haven't done a thing and that was 3 days ago.

Dog Day Warm One

The dogs are having a great time. It is my day off. Tomorrow I play catch-up on grooming. Dennis may make me dinner. 

I had a wonderful breakfast with Sherry. It has been a long time. I was so full, I didn't eat lunch. I await dinner. LOL Thank you. I have not had a true day off for weeks. 

We are non-stop getting news about Ruth. I have not slept uninterrupted for 3 days literally. I may crawl into bed early tonight and take something to sleep.

The dogs that are here truly are enjoying each other. No more eating baseboards for one today. We celebrate.

The dogs truly find the weather delightful as they want to be out in it more times than indoors. I am glad they try to make the most of it. Of course one or 2 of us are always out with them. 

Looking forward to finding something on tv to watch.
