Just a Crazy Day

Penny has now gone home. We miss her already. This photo is priceless as Jeannie was yapping away at Daisy and she said talk to the paw. It drove Jeannie crazy!

Jesse and Inula has been playing grandly. Mom is still having a tough time gettong her electricity done so they are hanging out.

Teddy is amazing. He's not afraid of even the Collie. He thinks Dennis shoots the moon. He is playing and getting along with everyone and eating ever so well.

Ann brought toys for the pups and said Risa had to pick first. Well, she picked the treats and this crew picked the toy. Thank you truly.

I am shorting this blog as I am out of steam. Everyone is doing well but come Tuesday I will be snapping photos again instead of relying on others to snap. :-)

Today and Short Blog

Remember: Memory Lane!Just let me get through till Monday/Tuesday and I will start adding photos again. Nothing for either Adele or Buddy but I had to wash then again. We also have a pup going home.

Without photos which we have been short in taking, let me tell you about today and you will just have to visualize.

Daisy as soon as she got here could care less about the big collie but Murphy she was herding and herding. Then he finally gave in to play with her and she stopped. Murphy wanted nothing to do with her at first. She was - well you can't ignore me you know!

Teddy has been amazing but he has since his first time he visited us. He just snuggles into Adele and says all is right in the world. When I climb into the recliner he comes too. He is such a love these days and is truly enjoying himself!

Penny has managed to only get her feet and legs dirty so we did a partial bath. She departs tomorrow and she will be missed. I can pick her up and she snuggles right into my shoulder, I like those hugs so she gets picked up a lot. hahahah To be honest I do it to all. Some just like it more than others.

Scruffy and Pepper are here and they have been playing independent all day. Usually they spend time with each other too but lately they go their own way and have fun. I thinl Scruffy is more aware of where she is than she is of him. Its a very special relationship much like I see Trigger and Levon has.

Well, a half hour from now a pup will depart. Another tomorrow and yet another on Monday.

Today's Show

Buddy won Winners Dog today with stiff competition, despite him being ill behaved. He needs to act less like a puppy in the ring - ooops he is a puppy. (smile)

Adele got nothing but she has been wearing Inula and her coat is not up to snuff. She is being brought for practice so we are happy as she shown really well.

Too Busy Today

Got 2 dogs to wash tonight before bed so blogs will be extra short. I will get the family photos up of the pup going home.

Everyone is doing really well and having fun. Teddy was running with Adele today. heh

PS: Truffie is doing great and Daisy dropped in and is playing her little heart out!

No Rest for the Weary

We are still doing but I am crashing. Last night with Truffie was better but still up half the night. I must get sleep tonight as tomorrow I have Muntuno, Buddy and Adele to get ready for a show and Holly as she departs. If I laid down I would be snoring. One can only have so many nights without sleeping the night, I am afraid. Oh well, it is what it is. Nathan tells me he is just as tired though he was with the rest snoozing. I was in caretaker mode.

It's a cold day so mud is not there - hooray!

Jesse runs his fool head off. Exercise is not an issue with him. You need to say - its rest time and watch tv so he goes into chill mode.

Each night I clean around eyes, check bums and ears. Its a habit I got into as it helps me know what is going on. Each time I groom I check pads, private areas etc. You do it without thinking. Baths you look at the hair, the skin etc. With winter coming hair between pads should be kept trimmed and don't forget the nails.

How did that happen? Spice went from not being able to have a ponytail due to her pups chewing on her to now always having one. Hair eventually grows if the chewing stops.

This dup departed. Next time he comes I promise photos of Levon playin cause he does.

Levon says and you want what, Jesse? Yeah, its me. Dogs smell each other to know who they are and their emotional state. It's amazing what they can learn from smell.

So, where's the water. Miss Roxie's hair is going darker winter colour. Sables do that their whole life.

Yes, Jesse has a voice. We are trying to curb that.

Penny wasn't sure about Jesse. She wanted to create a huge barrier around her or tell him he may die if he comes closer and then he did come closer and nothing happened and now they hang out. Go figure. The size of Jesse no matter how gentle he is gets them to wonder what the hey is that and what is his intentions. Then they realize his intentions is simply to have fun they relax. Penny is indeed relaxed.

Great conditioning having Jesse here. It has been great for Murphy too.

Cold Play

It's become cold again - yipee no blow dryers and wet mud - joy is back. But I had no sleep last night and when I say NO sleep I meant no sleep. Truffie was sick for the first time. He is getting better. Nothing contagious and we did have him at the vets today but I am so zonked its unreal. When someone is sick we immediately isolate them so that meant it was me and the Truffster all night long.  I did get an hour and a half nap this afternoon but I am exhausted. I almost said forget about the blogs. Enough complaining. Just know the Truffster is fine and is an excellent hugger. Less treats for this guy. He is still not eating yet but he is drinking water. Tomorrow is a new day.

We have an update of Meika on Spice's blog. What a gorgeous cuties she is!

Levon and Trigger are hanging out. They didn't know what to make of Jesse at first but all is good. This borrowing Jesse is a great thing as he is good for the smaller set.

We had sedate sniffing and we had crazy play.

Nothing like running like the wind.

Brewer was here just for the day and he also had to adjust to Jesse. He did.

Kat and Trigger got along really well today.

Spice is always such a happy gal. She just loves life!

This was after Risa's brush out. I think she was having a counter attack move. You brush me - I will show you!

It took awhile but Jeannie has her full out play back and Murphy has totally loosened up. It's magic but it always happens.

Just Some Fun Photos

Just a visual of some fun we had. Bonus, Kat's brother Murphy who thought the pups were martians is playing with them gleefully. It just takes some magic and time. :-)

Wet and messy out there but still we managed to have fun.

Another One

Whine, whine whine is that all I do? I feel that way. Sorry. Its just been interesting with this MUDDY wet weather.

Here is a video that Alene sent to me that is cute. It was taken yesterday when we still had snow. I think all we are left with is mud in our yard.

Leti was so muddy that she looked like she became Jeannie's shade. It was really that bad but as Nathan is handing her to me, I had him finish Kat and I proceeded to wash her as really when I say 20% of her was unmud drenched, I am being generous. She looked GORGEOUS and then Dennis took her out and this time I hosed her off, let the dryers dry her off and brushed her at the end.

Blogs are short as I am tired, Sounds like a major gripe and I am so sorry for that but really between mopping a floor and cleaning dogs I want to - well sleep or gave some time off. I can't imagine if I didn't rinse Leti off again what my sheets would look like or the mats that would have set in.

Wet Day

Ragus is just hanging out here overnight but Momma made sure he was freshly bathed before he came so it would be easier for me. I have to laugh as I dried him out after this and after dinner he looks pretty much the same. Its melting and raining and the dogs - well all look like this so I am late blogging. I have towels and blankets for them to snuggle into with heaters and I am going one by one drying and brushing. I will be doing the same just before bed. All I can do is laugh as it is rather comical but oh my they are having fun and that is all that matters.

This is why Ragus is soaked for the 3rd time today. Think we will stay in till bedtime and then I will just have 1 marathon of drying.

Gracie is playing her heart out with Cody. Cody gets a bath along with Grace tomorrow and we do it just before their arrival so we can have dry dogs. Ragus will be blown out and dried and his undercarriage and feet spruced up. Challenging but doable - don't you worry. :-)

Murphy got drenched and looked like a wet rag too but I was too busy drying to capture him. Jesse stayed dry despite playing and only had to get a quick blow and brush out.

Then we had tv room time where Nathan sits with the crew with blankets etc and I dry and brush out. hmmmm

Yes they get the recliner, the dog beds, the couches. This is a dog room tv room after all. Nathan and the dogs. Every now and then I watch tv with them.

They sit on the top, on the tables with beds on it. Its covered up and designed for the dogs don't you know. It used to be our dining room but its a man and dog cave these days.

Jesse can't make up his mind. Its the couch, no its the recliner and he just steps up into them. No stairs required. It's a dawgs life. Wish me luck and fast drying at 10pm. :-)

PS: Oh my gad Nathan took them out again. I think its time to get him drying don't you think?

Wild Child Jeannie. I will be glad when her hair gets back into shape.

Believe it or not this was AFTER a brush out. I brushed and combed out EVERYONE including Jesse.

Shoshi seems to see just fine despite the fact that I am trying to let her bangs grow out. I miss the ponytail. I will keep her hair short but the head and tail long.

Murphy thinks he is a prince and he is. He is playing and he is having fun but no puppies yet.

That's it for today. Off to update the Roxie blog and then I may drop dead asleep - well I can't but wish I could.

Brew wants to wish his litter mates a happy birthday!  He was VERY spoiled today.  He got some new toys & yummy new dehydrated treats.  He even had a special chicken and sweet potato dinner (which I doubt he tasted, he inhaled it).

Birthday Tomorrow

Seeing I am just really tired today I am going to update you instead with pix of tomorrow's Birthday.

I had to send a photo of Nora in her new coat too.  It was hilarious because when I put it on she wouldn't move, even if we nudged her.  Isn't she so cute and feminine looking on her second birthday!

Pepper is waiting for her Momma to get through the snowstorm so she can start the birthday celebrations.

Just In

This beauty is a Treasure baby.

Well no photo day today. Its been one of THOSE days. Fun but busy and I am spent so blogging will have to wait. Pups are callingm adults are calling and I have one more dog to groom.

Jesse has found his voice, the fridge but not the countertop. Murphy has found Adele and Leti will do if Adele is playing hard to get.

Gidget has decided my neck when watching tv is a comfie position.

Still no socks but blankets suit me fine. maybe I will hibernate. hahaha What about you?

Short Update

We had friends dawgs (Barry) and otherwise depart today so its a quieter house. Gidget and I really have a special thing going on and she has a truly special thing with the pups. Tomorrow I get to see the gorgeous Lila and Zoe to give them a bath. I will get my snuggles in before mom and dad comes to get them.

Nathan gets to go out to lunch at my fave restaurant, Akasaka. He gets the good meal. I get the snuggles and baths. :-) Hoping we have white stuff before they get bathed.

Cody, Truffie's brother is here and having a great time. He loves TV time and can I have a popcorn too? heh

This is Truff's brother. He is also a chocolate - just a white chocolate.

Harper who is now home thought this white stuff was cold with his shorn look. He had a great time!

Murphy was doing mad play with Nathan today and I mean crazy play. He loves Adele - I mean LOVES her!

Got everyone groomed - some several times due to this weather. Got Jesse done though he wasn't crazy about me doing his legs... hmm

We had a ton of fun today but I am exhausted. Finally got caught up with Blacklist. Friday 6 pups to wash for a visit. wow

Feeling Blessed

Barry goes home tomorrow. He wasn't sure when he arrived how this would go never having been away from his humans and he is middle age guy. It took some time and exposures but Barry is now doing amazing. So when it came time for Jesse (collie) to come I was worried he would be back at square one but nope - he is and remains wonderful. He plays with Jesse as he does with all. We are going to miss him truly! Bath time in the morning and then he gets to give kisses to his humans.

Those that came to visit was extra lucky as they got to be exposed to a gentle but large soul. They have had to learn that bigger dogs play different and can't maneuver like small dogs. It is an adjustment and everyone is doing really well. If anything I think they played too much and now they are draped all over the tv room couches including the collie who takes up the loveseat. Good thing we have pillows on our tables, a huge crate with bedding that stays open and a cushion on top for those that like to sit on high. Lots of comfie room.

Harper is here for an overnight stay. He was at a groomer and the clippers caught under I assume a mat and ended up cutting him and he needed stitches. Mom has to work and didn't want to leave him alone to his own devices most likely ripping those stitches out. Things can happen but any good groomer will tell you about an ooops and offer to pay and will probably feel terrible about it. Thankfully I have never had anything happen but sometimes you get a wild child on the table so I can see where it can happen.

I am off to snuggle with the dogs. They are truly spent (tired). We had a blast and we only got a dusting of snow. Its not enough to truly snap and enjoy the photos. We will see what tomorrow brings.

Gidget is and remains AMAZING with the pups. She snuggles up on the recliner with me and well all is right in the world. Looking forward to the snuggling. Till tomorrow!

Let it Snow

Looks like Cooper got a ton of snow. How gorgeous is this photo - nice!

Here the snow has just begun and I do hope it keeps coming. This is Inula's first snow. Can't wait till our next play session so I can get big and little clicked to a memory. No time to do the pool house door not that Nathan can figure it out or have the tools to so looks like we are going to block it up and deal with it in spring. All furniture and ornaments are now in or stored.

Each year I wish we had a service or a snowblower and each year Nathan says we are able bodied and so it begins the aching back and arms. But the dogs love the white stuff so much so how can I truly complain.

Hope it keeps coming to create a backdrop but not enough that we have to shovel. How lazy does that make me?

Cold But Fun

Truffie and Logan continue their fun!Something about the cool air that gets the dogs running and playing. It's so much fun to see.

Late Night

Looks like Trigger and Levon got snow. Doesn't he look gorgeous with a snow beard?

We didn't get anything but some flying stuff that melted when it hit the ground.

It remains cool but they had a blast.

As you can see we got a tiny bit that landed on their hair but that is it.

The dogs actually enjoy the brisk air. It gets them running and playing like crazy dawgs!

Barry likes the pups. He's not sure what to do with them but he sniffs and touches nose. It is cute to see.

Fun was had by all. Tomorrow 6 pups to bathe and 2 moms. Yikes. hahahaha
