Mucky Outside Clean Inside

This is going to be short. We have Bria and Amy visiting - so nice. Bria departs tomorrow and Amy tonight. Elvis departs tomorrow. Tuffy visits us tomorrow.

The two dogs that were coming have found a home before they arrived. We are happy for them.

I am still sick but we have a meet our daughter's mother-in-law's to be surprise birthday party to attend so we will do the best we can. Nathan doesn't want to go by himself so... 

I had a number of dogs to get ready for Easter. By the last one, I wished I was crawling into bed. Nathan is tired despite a short nap. 

Dogs are bringing in twigs and all sorts of fun stuff. Too much brushing. Tomorrow only 2 baths and I may not even have to comb my own and truly rest after that. We shall see.

My PVR keeps filling up. I need some down time to make some space. Do you have that problem too?\

Oh I so wish my body gets well tomorrow. 

Quiet Day

Good Friday, Happy Easter weekend and the start of Passover..... No matter what you celebrate, may it be one filled with memories.

I made it to the pet show with 2 immodiums and not eating. LOL It was way too busy by the time we departed. Managed to get a few beds and a stool and a hard decorated tunnel. Enjoyed seeing old and new vendors. 

Picture this, 2 bernese sprawled across the aisle and the owner not caring if you had no room to get by. Then we had vendors that were incredibly nice. The crowds came and I mean the crowds came and we had to depart. 

Got home, thought I did well so let's eat. Guess its way too early to eat. Back in recliner after this. Joy... not

This is a big eating weekend for you that celebrate. It isn't happening here. I celebrate that I made it to the pet show and I came back, combed a few and played with pups. Food is not my friend. It is what it is. 

So enjoy your holiday weekend. Cuddle with your havs even if you are sick like me. It's the best medicine!

Rain, Rain

They were all combed out but I am not even going to show you Elvis. He rolled into the mud under the tree and oh boy hose off time for him. Got to laugh. 

Very short blog as I am still sick - sorry. Everyone is getting wet.

Fun Times

Only Logan, Panda, Elvis and Murphy are here at the moment. I am still not whole. I may lay on the couch and watch tv. I did manage to get the dogs combed out and the puppies washed. Tomorrow, if I am up to it I will do Saffron.

Not much to report. Dogs make me laugh. They put up with me grooming and they got antlers today to munch on - yum!

Logan and Panda are here till it is needed. Lynda's mom is well not doing well. The nursing home called to tell her to gather the family and come so hugs and good vibes to Lynda, Gallan and the entire family. I was blessed to have met her. She is such a character. Thinking about all of you. Too many good friends lately...

It's a Day

It's a no photo day. Just not up to standing in rain to take photos when I am not feeling well. 

Shlomo and Frannie departed today.

Amy came to visit and it's her humans 40th anniversary!! Happy anniversary. 

Tomorrow Reggie departs and his human mom and dad had a baby so Reggie has a new brother - wow!!

Saturday we are getting in 2 adult dogs in that we know well. We will be rehoming them hopefully together as they are bonded. More info Saturday.

We are going to go to the Canadian Pet Show Friday. I try to go yearly. Seeing I didn't get to do the March on my birthday, I really do not want to miss this as well.  I already had tix when someone asked me to groom their dog so we are figuring it out - maybe Thursday or Saturday. 

I am still sick but doing what I have to. Nathan is sick and getting a nap in. Good for him but wish it was me.

That's it - got to groom Brewer, Logan and Panda before they depart. Then I crawl into a recliner or maybe bed.

I am a Mess

I am grooming as much as I can but I think I have some cruddy thing going on. So, I do what I can, I don't do what I can put off till tomorrow. Raven is my dog so she can wait till tomorrow.

Observing

It's melting and the squirrels and birds are driving the poor dogs crazy. They want to chase, bark and have fun with all this activity. I think the squirrels and birds actually enjoy the attention - a bit of a nah nah game.

I washed Stormy's hair today and she looks like I never touched her. She certainly lives up to her name.

We went from a full house to less activity. Elvis is playing a ton with Reggie and the pups. Frannie is enjoying the adults. Shlomo just loves anyone who will play with him and that they do. It's a good mix.

Not Many Photos

Didn't get to go downtown. Dennis was tired and well too much for him to stay up after a long night so we went out for a Lobster Roll (yum) and went to a grocery store called Farm Boy. I wasn't impressed but we did buy wonderful sushi for Nathan and well we got a few more things. 

It's a no grooming day. Nathan will have to groom Thunder before he goes home. I hope he is thorough and I am not helping the feeding at night. So, time off. It's my big present. LOL

Two Updates Today

Patches has such an expressive face. They came - Radar and Patches and went and we enjoyed them immensely!

Tonight Olive, 3rd birthday gal will be departing and so will Pixie and Leo. Indeed missed! The house is emptying out but Thunder came for a visit - so more puppy fun and Murphy who we adore. How lucky can we get.

I want to thank Sherry for giving me the Keg experience. So thankful!! I have to say I LOVE these dog cards. Where do you all find them. I am going to save and treasure them. 

Tomorrow we are going to try to go downtown for the March and then out to eat but that makes a long day for Dennis so we shall see. The pups are at a point where they can find mom so I am hoping he sleeps some. Maybe instead of the march I will get my scissors sharpened - hahahahaha

Spirit was lucky to have her brother Charlie visiting us today. We adore him and Leti and Spirit was in heaven. Even Stone perked up. 

By the way, for those that asked - the mattress from the home show is wonderful. It was so cheap Dennis kept telling me it would never get delivered. Got to love it. 

Well dogs are happy with this warmer weather. They are having fun. Are you enjoying it as well?

Happy 3rd Birthday

Hi Darlah and Nathan!

We wanted to wish a happy birthday to PJ's brother and sisters: Leo, Murphy, Maggie, Olive and Saffron! hope you are all doing awesome and that you got extra special treats today!!!

And to you Darlah tomorrow, I hope you have a very special birthday celebration!.

We have been lost for a while as things have been a little chaotic in this household, we had my parents stay with us for a year and things have been a little busy here but we keep checking your blog and are happy to see the updates on the Talemaker family. Saffron's little ones are just too cute!

Tomorrow the house empties out and Charlie comes for a spruce up. Saturday is my birthday so we are downtown as long as we are both well. Nathans a bit under the weather so we opted not to go to class. Besides, I am exhausted.

2 Updates Today

Olive is exploring outdoors. Her face spot is on the kitchen chair next to Dennis or next to Nathan when he is cooking. Hmmm food.

This is a short blog as I am trying to get rid of this bug that I have. Nathan too but he is napping now. I was trying to but may crawl into bed when he gets up.

Spice (Spicy) and Anne successfully achieved the Caring Paws Animal Therapy Evaluation. Anne took Spicy to visit her mom many times and she knew then that she would make a wonderful therapy dog. A new journey is about to begin for Spicy and Anne. Russell and Anne couldn't be happier.

We feel the same!!

Getting Nice

The sun is bright. I decided to groom everyone but departing dogs after blogging as they don't ever look groomed. hahahahaha May as well do it when it is convenient to me.

We will have a short set of blogs on Saturday as its my birthday and I may go to the march and out to eat. We shall see.

I bought a Dupray Steam cleaner when I was on Montreal. Each night Dennis cleans something new. LOL. It is actually the first steam cleaner that I really like and I may use very little or no chemicals from now on. I am impressed. 

We have cleaned the whelping box, the linoleum, floors, the xpen as it stands, back door window, appliances, the steel trash cans and appliances, tile grout, toilets, walls and the list goes on. We owned a steamer - an upright one but this is a canister one and it works so well, it even makes those that hate to clean (me) get lost in seeing what it does. Got to laugh. I originally bought it as I felt it was healthier for the pups not to use chemicals and the high heat kills bacteria etc. Dennis has used it on a new job every night. He was cleaning cabinets last night.

Dogs have been truly sunning today. They love this trying to be warm business.

I am a bit congested so I am finding a couch after my comb-outs and I will hopefully have a blanket of dogs. What could be better?

Sunday Clicking

Roxie just had a bath and I was trying to take a few photos of her - okay more than a few. She is such a beauty!

It's getting to be the end of March Break. A few more depart on Monday and Tuesday and the house empties out. Dogs come here and there but the holiday crew is mostly home and enjoying their families.

Adele is in heat. The daughter kept forgetting to set a spay date so she is now home. She was supposed to be here till Monday night but the boys were beside themselves literally and I have a terminal headache from the whining. So off they went to spend time with the grandkids till Adele is over the heat. That will save the Kat, stone and Truffie madness.

St Patty's Day

We play. We eat, we snooze - what a life!

March break is coming to a close. I took a half hour nap - who knew I needed it so and Saffron tucked herself into my neck and slept with me till a noise of Nathan coming downstairs woke her up. heh

Usually as a tradition (I am not Irish) I cook corned beef and cabbage with potatoes and carrots. I like to celebrate everyone's holiday. It gives me an excuse to celebrate with food. But we will have to buy some next week. It's a simple meal. In a slow cooker throw the corned beef the night before in water with a couple of bay leaves, spices etc. Next day add carrots, potatoes and the last 20 min add cabbage. Remove a piece of corned beef, potatoes, carrots, cabbage. Add butter and there you go. If the dogs are lucky, I give them a tiny piece of meat. I love easy meals. One day an Instapot. Too many gadgets heh but always thinking of a great way to cook meat to add to the dogs meals. It's all about the dogs.

Messy Look

Went to the Home show with Sherry. We had fun. Poor Sherry is still sick. Ate at Burger Priest - my 1st. It was good. Came home and brushed out a few dogs, took photos and videos of the pups and here I am blogging.

A Cool Warmish Day

We had a great play day today. It was almost warm today. Well warm enough for this time of year.

Olive arrived. I do believe she is the smallest pup we have ever produced. She is such a cutie. I believe she is 6lbs and solid but small. We are going to have fun with her. She is Saffron's and Murphy's sister. 

Some went home. Some arrived. It's March Break. :-)

Saffron was beyond excited to see me and is each morning. All the dogs were. It has been an amazing reception that has lasted. 

Tomorrow, Marlee, Sadie, Brady, Toby and maybe Leo departs. Friday Murphy and Coco and girl Murphy and Reggie arrives.
