MeadowHappy 3rd b- day to our beautiful, sweet girl who we love so much!
This is Ellie doing a snow plow. I just love it!
The dogs were having a ton of fun. Ignore anything yellow. Usually we shovel spots up but its too hard out there. I HATE yellow snow. I can't hose it off but we try. Pick ax time. So laughing.
Dennis took the photos outside today and I think he captured some real moments - some yellow too but hate to delete and have you miss the special time they have.
The dogs they love to have fun, They bring us smiles!
Dennis did not take many photos today. Every now and then you feel the need to rejuvenate.
It is warmer today. Poor maritimes got hit badly with the storm. I would love to erradicate yellow snow but I am glad its not extreme cold as it has been.
Still, even with warmer weather - well not that warm but warmer, the dogs want to chill inside.
Benjamin and Tia departed. They are missed.
People are starting to make March Break plans. Yes, we are open.
Think Ruth may be getting to go home soon and I bet she will be glad to see Katie. Yes, Katie will be iver the moon even after being here for months as there is NO place like home. I am happy for her and thank you to those that gave us tips on getting everything in place so I could pass it on.
Ms Tenshi on high
It is still cold and well we are all messy - well we were till the afternoon.
Ms Tenshi, Ozzie, Jasper, Jersey and Leo departed. They had fun and Jasper got acquainted with Kinsey and Jersey.
Hoping that cold goes away....
Nami was having a great time but she wasn't the only one. Check out the gallery.
It doesn't matter that it didn't snow but that there were unpaved paths to make. LOL
The dogs had a crazy fun time.
Leo and Benji and even Tia played with Kinsey like crazy.
Everyone had great time with the games today.
I have a licking mat that you are supposed to tape to a wall and put peanut butter in but not sure how that will work with their hair. I am looking to use it but have to eliminate washing faces. LOL Any ideas?
I am on a Sublimation Summit so going to be short. But you will see in the gallery how everyone is enjoying!
I must get a video of Kinsey playing retrieve. She is a bloody riot. Now on to other things.
Chester thinks he is a ladies man. I have to laugh. You have to understand dog body language but he kept trying to share Harlow's bed and she turned her back towards him. So he walks on the other side and she turned the other way. She WAS trying to sleep. She was telling him to leave her so she could catch some shut eye. He spent most of the day with Sage though who is back being extra playful.
Nathan was on a video call with someone and I swear he thinks I am a photo bomber causing him to be distracted. I can't help myself. But I looked at Stone, who I actually combed 1st thing and he was a total mess. Did Nathan notice - nah. Ever put a rubber band on them and the rubber band is almost out or completely out? That's Stone. He didn't care that I fixed him. He only cared that he got a treat. Then I looked around and said oh so and so is a mess - well not entirely but I always feel that way. The queen Roxie was laying out in the kitchen and well her hair stays in place.
Then I lost myself laughing like a crazy person to Kinsey doing a fast run and back to get this toy. You would laugh too and I almost want to try it again. Well, I did but not as great as that 1st toy but she gets the game. I will post the videos here.
Oh my gad is Harlow adorable or what? The princess loves to shimmy on the fresh snow. I just have to laugh.
This is Ms Kinsey after her bath today. She so needed it and earned it. Here she is after going through 2 sets of bars, stealing the moms food. Tsk tsk
I can call Kinsey from the grooming room when she is on the other side of the house and say Kinsey come and she makes it through bars and comes running all for that treat. She is turning out to have the most fabulous personality.
We had Nava here today and it was a delight. We also have Chester arrivving soon. We had dogs brushed, unbrushed, going to be brushed today.
The dogs had a total blast today!
York region was under an extreme cold alert. Not Toronto just here. Got to laugh. Nami says I want to be playing OUTSIDE.
There is a lot of play going on. Still is. The house has been fun and busy.
You will see messy dogs and dogs after I combed them out. Still got a few to do so... short blogging!
Nathan's stress test got cancelled. He is rescheduled for Feb. Thank you, covid!
Run, Ellie, run! They sure like these paths and we had snow again today but just enough to cover the non pure white snow. LOL
We do have a video up of Katie, Kinsey and a few others.
We also have a 3rd birthday to check out. Daisy, Ellie and Coco was here. They had a blast.
Harlow has decided the pup can snuggle with her. LOL
It was a good day. Fun was had by all!
Hey everyone in the Talemaker Family, Pablo is enjoying his 3rd birthday at the beach!
We want everyone to sing Stevie Wonder's song
You are the sunshine of my life
That's why I'll always be around,
You are the apple of my eye,
Forever you'll stay in my heart
I feel like this is the beginning,
Though I've loved you for a million years,
And if I thought our love was ending,
I'd find myself drowning in my own tears
You are the sunshine of my life,
That's why I'll always stay around,
You are the apple of my eye,
Forever you'll stay in my heart
You must have known that I was lonely,
Because you came to my rescue,
And I know that this must be heaven,
How could so much love be inside of you?
You are the sunshine of my life, yeah,
That's why I'll always stay around,
You are the apple of my eye,
Forever you'll stay in my heart
Kinsey is the type of puppy that even if the other dogs feel like she is a pest, she finds a way to melt your heart. Be it dogs or humans, that tail just keeps on wagging. She also goes through the bars as she is still small and runs out in the hall, into the laundry room and comes swiftly when you call her but she eats my feet. Ouch.
Mr Shlomo was one of those that finally said okay, I will play. Mr. Shlomo departed today.
It is quiet now. Other than day visitors and grooming, it remains our dogs.
Friday I have an all day sublimation class online - a semi day off - well no grooming. Nathan has his stress test and Dennis is still working on mail for hours and hours and hours. sometimes it works - well does for me but now Nathan has many duplicate folders but not entirely. I don't want to know. It makes me want to nap. LOL
Nathan bought a roast for me to cook over Christmas break but never could find the time. Each day he would remind me. So today, roast, bernaise and mashed potatoes. We will cut up some for the dogs too. It will be Ms Kinsey's first roast. Bet she eats tonight. I will too. It's been a long time since I cooked a roast.
I have a lot of grooming appts today so this will be a short blog. I still have 3 dogs to do
I can't believe Shlomo is departing tomorrow. He will get his spa morning tomorrow. LOL I will not brush him today to give him a break. Logan and Panda will also be groomed as they too will be departing.
I do hope it warms up outside. It's rather brrr out there.
If I finish grooming in time, I get to do the hide the treat game. Going to be fun! Even Kinsey is joining in.
Dennis is still working on email. It's been interesting.
We are under an extreme cold alert. Dogs are not delighted to go out so most play is indoors.
I need to brush dogs. Dennis is sleeping. Dogs are doing TV time with Nathan while I blog.
Dennis gets up at 10 for an all nighter. He does not get to sleep at night till pups are 4 weeks.
He gets up at noonish to play with the adults, take photos, eat then heads back to bed at 630ish till 10.
When I see Brewer going one way and the others going the other way, I am reminded of the song by Fleetwood Mac. It makes me laugh and maybe as we are under an extreme cold alert once again, his heading back in says - cold no thanks!!
Remember under this cold alert your dogs CAN get frostbitten.
Slowly but surely the pest Kinsey is winning over Bonham as she is a persistent thing. He does play with her but appears to think of her as a pest that won't give in and then he says why not. I believe he likes the pest being a pest. It was comical today.
I taught Kinsey come today. But she thinks she should get free treats vs wirking for them. She does a dance. She jumps up mid air - aren't I entertaining - treat me will you. She so loves being the class clown.
Shlomo has been having a grand time. I can't believe he goes in a few days. He loves finding the treat game is the best and he is good at it.
Ms Harlow - what can I say but Katie and her have been playing the last few days. It's wonderful to watch!
It got warm enough for the snow to start melting everywhere so the dogs were wet off and on. It is now dropping so Dennis went out to shovel more as it's going to turn to ice.
Despite it all, the dogs had a ton of fun.
Daisy, Ellie and Ollie departed. Brewer decided he likes the recliner better than getting soaked. He tried it once. LOL
Dennis is still trying to fix our email. It has been an experience. Off and on I get it then not. Oue cable service is still down but we do have DSL now.
Kinsey had her checkup and shots. She goes again Feb 16th. No signs of soreness. She has grown but can still get through the gates and I hear Nathan mumbling - this is getting old. Puppies are fun.
Now to get off blogging as Dennis says before sleep he needs to check and fix something or other.
Stay dry. Restaurants are back to opening up to 50% capacity Jan30th.
This is Sadie. She departed today. She rather likes Shlomo.
Little by little everyone is departing after the teeth cleaning. Tenshi and departed just a bit ago. Ollie was supposed to depart tonight but I think it will be tomorrow.
The dogs enjoyed the snow many times today. Kinsey goes for her checkup and shots tomorrow morn. Misty now realizes she is here to stay and is totally thrilled.
Kinsey is the official dog greeter and is happy to do it. LOL I have not checked her on the scale so happy to find out how much she gained.
Pippa sent a video of Bailey in the snow. Send your snow photos and videos and I will post.
Dental persons are in our driveway working away.
The winners of cutting their own path through the snow is Misty and Pablo and they did it with wild passion. One must laugh. Dennis spent over 6 hours doing the front and the back. He wanted paths for the dogs and then Misty and Pablo made their own.
Kinsey and her Dad, Truffie had special moments as he was mentoring her with this snow and staying on paths. Where Stone attempted to jump in and out and didn't quite make it. Truffie said - I like the paths and not freezing my undersides.
We had a lot of dogs here due to the dental and some are remaining till tonight or tomorrow. They will have many more moments of fun in the snow.
Nathan took a few videos and I am uploading them now.
Mr. Ripley decided deck time made more sense. LOL He kept putting his snout in the snow and throwing it.
All of them had a good time.
Murphy says can I have my treat tonight? Yes, Murphy. No anesthesia and that's always a good thing where you can. Some arrived tonight ahead of the storm. Do you think it will actually come to be? We don't.
Tomorrow Ollie gets his final bath and teeth and departure. What an exciting day for him. :-)
Ms Tenshi is here. It's been forever. I heard she ran through the door and said I am off to play. Mr. Chester is playing Romeo. He has competition as Pablo os Mr. Romeo too! LOL Mr. Ripley arrived and took over his spot. It happens to be Brewer's spot so Brewer and Ripley is sharing. Imagine that!
Ms Sadie arrived and got to meet Kinsey and the rest of her relatives including her Momma and ask me if she knew her Mom and if her mom knew her. She even corrected her saying enough. Sadie was so excited. They are spooning in the tv room as I type. Wow....
That's it for tonight. Lots to get ready and organized for tomorrow. Going to be a busy day bit lots of beautiful teeth at the end.
If you are worried about the storm, drop your dog off today. Of course we will charge the usual $40 overnight fee but that is not why we are suggesting. Anything to give you peace of mind.
It was such a cold day yesterday that it felt damp, cold in the house. We put a portable heater on to help keep the air warm for the pups. I am glad that did not last. Sure, it is still cold but nothing like yesterday.
The dogs still played outside many times but for short periods.
Ms Chase is not departing till tomorrow as their flight got cancelled. It means we get her an extra day.
Shlomo and Ollie play and play with everyone. They make you happy watching! Ms Tia and Amy was here for the day. It's a quieter house since holidays have passed. But we also have 2 sets of pips and the Kinsey. The Kinsey jumps in mid air to greet you. What a personality.
Thank you, Dorothy for the soup truly. I was busy cleaning Tempie so I missed you. Hope Nathan was a good susbstitute. LOL
