Two Updates Today

It's a no groom day and oh boy it shows. Tomorrow is crazy catch up time. Adele and River are visiting. See Adele's blog for her update.

I am a bit exhausted today so this blog is short but I wanted to put up that photo of Murphy as she is so comfie basking in the sun. Not warm but the dogs love it!

Happy 2nd Birthday

River wants to wish all her siblings a splendid day. She's hanging out at Talemaker's today and will be celebrating with a special treat. Momma Adele is here too and indeed preggie.

Rain and Cold

With Pepper's tail flagging in the background Scruffy looks like he has an interesting hairdo. Scruffy and Pepper are departing today. I will miss them on my lap at tv time. The way Pepper leaps into the chair to beat the others from getting her spot is a riot. 

Marco arrived today and he just can't get enough of Stormy. They have been enjoying each other all day and now they are laying in the dog bed together. ahhhhh

Ty departed after an overnight. Already miss him and his momma showed us a video of Ty jumping into the lake like Kat does. wow!

It rained right after I got everyone groomed. I was so frustrated but oh well....

It's cold. When it is not raining the dogs love it. Me, not so much. 

Chester dropped in and is having a grand time. Murphy slid in as if she never left. :-) Tenshi departs soon. Plus Tchibo arrived. What a fun crew indeed this weekend.

Not a Pool Day

What a messy crew. I didn't get to brush till late in the day so they look liek a motley crew but that's okay. THEY don't mind. hahahaha

Dennis took most of the photos and he didn't get one of Pepper other than two blurry ones of her jumping and grabbing Velvet's ear in play. When they are moving fast if you move the camera you get a blur. Dennis is learning how to not move. hahahaha

All the dogs had fun. It's time to find out when the pool cover is done as it is time to close, I suppose. :-(

Amy came for a couple of hours and enjoyed seeing Tenshi. 

Tenshi is sleeping over. We are delighted.

Soon tv time and I promise you that Velvet, Mabel, Scruffy and Pepper will be on my lap. The recliner is THEIRS and it's mine even if Nathan is in it. Nathan just looks at me and says really?

Getting Cooler

They have started to run and have fun now that the heat has broken. I meant to get into the pool 1 last time but I was too busy this morning then the coolness set in. 

Scruffy and Pepper are coming tonight. Hooray!

I did manage to brush everyone out but I have to admit I just finished. Kat got hosed down and still looks a mess. hard to believe he was bathed 2 days ago. 

I am exhausted tonight. Not sure why. Just thinking about putting the crops away and pulling out the pants is doing me in. :-(

Mugginess

Pippin is such a wonderful dog. But today he was not impressed. When the stove came we had to go outdoors. Let's be honest, no one was impressed but we were outside a total of 10 minutes. That is all it took them but you would think I asked them to stay out all day and we were in the shade with ice water in a huge container. I was there. I didn't think it was so bad. Good thing the cool is coming for them - not for me. I should have taken them upstairs. Air conditioning would have felt better, I suppose.

Nathan took them out after dinner and they stayed and stayed outside. Go figure. It is cooler - still hot but cooler than it was at 1pm. Okay I just checked the weather and it is still hot outside. Maybe it was ME? 

Is Nathan more fun? Come on...

One more day of heat and then cool. When will the pool get covered? 

Everyone is having a blast despite the heat. Tomorrow I have to run an errand so I may have lean blogs. We shall see.

Steamy Hot

Murphy is so funny. She gets her bath tomorrow before she departs. Today she had a comb out and then proceeded to undo it. Why? Cause I can!

It is still so steamy hot. Dogs are not crazy about being outside especially in the sun. We had some playing inside. Some watched. Some participated but mostly they loved the cold water and the cool mats. 

Teddy departed today. We will miss him. Till next time. 

I am blessed. I have great dog friends. I have wonderful dogs to snuggle with. The weather is allowing me a swim before the cover goes on. The pups are sleeping for 3 hours allowing me to groom without being frantic to get back to a feeding. 

Our stove comes tomorrow afternoon. I will be able to cook a roast and I suppose a turkey too. :-) You don't think you need a stove till you do. 

Velvet and Mabel are wonderful pups. They give me licky kisses and they love to snuggle. Pippin is so easy to comb out. As long as I give him a treat, he is fine. He so loves Ella but Ella is in heat. He loves the cooling pads. Swim - no one wants to including Kat. Oh my. Oh well. Till next year with swimming. :-)

Going to be fun seeing who runs on the cover and who doesn't when it is on. 

So Very Hot

It was so hot and muggy that it wasn't truly safe to stay out for long periods. This they say will only last till Thursday and then cool is coming. That's okay as our pool is supposed to be closing on the 30th.

The house emptied out today with so many departing. Tomorrow Teddy departs.

With a family get together our stove died. So today after attempting to see if we could get it to go (broil works but nothing else) we had to go out and buy a new one. It's not a high end one. have you seen the prices lately? But it will clean and do a true convection plus it supposedly has an extra large oven but that means you don't have much storage in the drawer below. Oh well. Every appliance that was 20 plus years old now has died other than the dishwasher. Tomorrow we clean under and behind and Tuesday they deliver. Now I can cook roasts again. :-)

The dogs really disliked the humidity today.

I am late updating as I also got pool time in. It will soon be over. When the cover goes on the dogs are going to love it!!

Hot Dawg Day

It is our grand daughter Dani's birthday and she chose to spend part of it with the dawgs. What a special young woman she is. Soon (within the year) they are going to try to do a Colostomy Reversal. Not sure if it will work. They won't know till they try but best to at least try.  We await a date.

Dogs are truly enjoying this weather but they want to laze in the shade not the sun. Can you blame them? Soon it will be gone so we are trying to make the most of it. 

Sometimes I manage to finish my grooming while watching tv. multitasking is good for you . heh The dogs love tv time so. We were watching America's Got Talent and the dogs were barking at the dogs on the tv. Got to laugh.

Too Nice: Too Tired

This is how I feel. Sorry just too tired to blog it. Had a dematting today that took me 4 hours and I am spent. Think I am getting too old.

Just a few photos of the day. No gallery. We have company over soon and an oven that died, me thinks. Got to love it. Thank gad for toaster ovens and barbecues. Who needs a roast. hahahahahaha

It was warm. It still is warm. Can I take a nap?

Hot Day

Shall I go in or shall I not? No one wanted to go in today including the swimmers. Are they waiting for the cover. Do they know it is almost fall?

Logan is a bit miffed. We had to take him out of the tv room. Even though he is neutered Roxie thinks he is for her. hahahahaha

Now we have Leti in heat. 

Scruffy and Pepper was caught side by side and oh my gad Pepper and that smile. Pippin had great fun today and he rather enjoyed Miko. That's great as Miko will be back on Saturday.

Cooper and Spicy depart tomorrow. That went by fast. :-)

Interesting

Amy came by for a couple of hours and had fun with Tenshi.

It was a wonderful day outside but usually I find the dogs run more when it is cooler than hot like today. I guess that makes sense. Soon enough it will cool down and we will put the cover on so they can do the trampoline fun thing. 

Spicy tickled my feet while I was in the pool. She snuggled and nibbled and licked my feet. It was a riot. Worth putting my feet out of the water for sure!

Velvet and Mabel are doing independent play now. You can find Velvet snuggling with Spice quite a bit. It is truly endearing. Mabel is her usual happy go lucky dog. 

Tomorrow Adele and River come for overnight. Have to check my calendar to see when she has to stay. 

Brewski was on a mad hunt for squirrels today. They are rather noisy so much so I thought they were hurt but its as if they are saying nah nah to the dogs. The dogs are taking the bait!

Groom Nah!

Don't worry Mommy and Daddy I will be brushed out before I go home but for now, we are having fun. Here is the gallery before brush outs.

The weather is good. The dogs have been enjoying themselves. Tried to get Cooper to come into the pool and he kept backing off. I guess it's not TOO hot and really no one wants to swim but us humans. Strange.

Lately Cooper has been jumping on me on the lounge chair. he especially loves to do this when I am wet.

But they are lazing as if they are catching the last sun rays. Do they know something we don't?

Adele and River is coming Thursday so I will see how her morning sickness is going. Jeannie you have to try to feed small meals all day.

Pippin is also coming to visit. Cooper and Spicy will depart early Friday. 

So much fun in store, today, tomorrow and on.

Sunny Times

It's been warm but not hot. The weather is actually great for hanging outside.

Two Updates Today: Happy 3rd Birthday

Hi Darlah and Nathan

I am three years old today and Mom and Dad and Elana put me on a table and wouldn’t give me my toy or cookie until I looked up and smiled so they could take a picture of me.

Yippee I did it!  I love my life and my family all love me to pieces.  Thank you so much and love to my Mom Roxie.  Happy Birthday to all my siblings.xo 

I will see you tomorrow.  Part of my present is a Spa day at your house.  I can’t wait.  I have to go to bed so tomorrow will come fast.

Brunch and Hanging

Stormy hung out at Nathan's brother's home today. We had to go to a brunch and Stormy got to come. She loved chasing a rabbit. Dennis stayed home to watch the pups and the dogs and here are the photos.

Nathan's dad has cancer so when he comes into town we go. It was fun seeing everyone and when I came back I jumped in the pool. Can you believe this weather?

Radar and Patches departed today. They had a great time. We will truly miss them.

Everyone else is saying tv time mom. It is getting that time.

Nathan takes Ella in for a progesterone test tomorrow morning. I get back into grooming. :-) It was nice to have today off. 

Tchibo departed. We rather miss him but it was so fun to have a puppy around. He learned so much while he visited.

Here's to fun with dogs and warm weather. May the warmth last for a bit more!

In Or Out

Tchibo departs tomorrow morning. We will miss him. He has really had some changes. He walks up and down the stairs. He jumps up on the chairs. He eats like he is starving. It has been a true pleasure having a puppy around. His parents will see the changes. I am off to give him his bath after I finish the blog.

We tried to get everyone in the pool. No one wanted to go and I mean no one. So we took out the 2 girls in heat as they have to be separate and they joined Hugo and Milo and had a blast. As they are segregated it is such a treat for them to do this.

They say more warm weather this week so maybe when the craziness of dogs running around the pool will not be great and more will decide the pool is for them. We will try. Lately only Roxie and Ella wants to go and of course Kat but Kat can't be out when the girls in heat are. Fun... not.

Levon and Trigger departed. If you need your roof done talk to Shannon first. She's had one heck of an experience. Poor thing! It continues too. 

Velvet, Mabel, Patches and Radar dropped in. Dusty and Murphy depart tomorrow. Hmm Murphy usually goes on Sunday so hope I got that right.

Roxie and Ella are in heat - oh boy - not. Inula is almost done. Roxie is not getting bred. She had her last litter. We will get her spayed 6 to 8 weeks after this heat. She will remain. Ella was supposed to be bred but she may be due the week that Nathan is with the guys on his yearly Florida get together with the guys trip. I am not willing to whelp myself plus have 2 other litters so we will do a progesterone and breed if she ovulates when she is not due during his holiday. Otherwise we will wait till next. My goal is to have the summer off but we shall see how it all unfolds.

It's never a dull moment around here but if we do it may reduce or eliminate our waiting list and that may make some of you happy. :-) It also may kill me but to make everyone happy.... :-)

Brady goes home tonight. We will miss him and so will the dogs. He has been delightful!

It was a nice day today and I got into the pool and then it clouded over. I changed and the sun is back out. Got to laugh.

We had squirrel hunting today and Levon and Trigger are very keen on this game. No, I didn't create it nor did I applaud it. I actually try to stop it but it's like little kids in a candy store. They can't contain themselves.

It's a Puppy House

This is Brady. He is raven's litter mate (brother). He is so cute and fun.

We are working on no bark. We are not saying who. Hopefully we will help. Dennis is sleeping during the morning so the barking isn't helping his sleep. 

It was a warm day that started out cloudy. No dogs in the pool. I was sitting on the recliner outside and Spice jumped up on my lap. Cooper decided to jump up too but on top of Spice. Spice was NOT impressed. 

Dusty is everything Nathan. I have to laugh. Sure she sits with me etc but when Nathan comes in the room - she has all eyes for him. I have to laugh.

Levon and Trigger have found their comfort in the tv room. They love my lap or up on the desk on top of a bunch of comfort blankets. If I have popcorn - hmm it's my lap. What's that about?

It's been a nice day but it is tv time shortly. 

I am told Adele is having morning sickness.
