Updates

Saffron has a update on Spice's blog. It looks like rain today. Rocky departed (not one of ours) and Rocco returns. Rocco's parents are going to Iceland. Now how cool is that? I will take a photo of Rocco's slow eating bowl and maybe video tape it. It's interesting to watch upclose and personal. 

Not going to do a gallery today. Just not enough photos considering this weather of spitting rain and I had to get the rug cleaned for the dog show so Nathan has it on Saturday. 

Everyone is doing well - having fun and can this rain please go?

Oh a Dip?

Oh Zackie fell in the pool today while playing with the Schnauzers. He swam confidently to the stairs. He's such a good boy. This is why we are always out with the dogs. Its rare that one falls in and then it happens. 

Zack was also my 'ate the knee high' dog story that I tell. I just love him!

Saffron is doing really well as you can see (in gallery) playing with the big guys. Now to get back to learning to use a lead. When Murphy comes to visit and Olive comes to visit we will upsate the Spice Blog. Don't want to bore you with just Saffron stuff. I am so in love with Saffron!

Another Short Update

Here's a gallery. Unfortunately its been raining and raining so not many photos as it is limited what I can capture in the house and I am washing feet, floors and all that fun stuff. Dogs are having fun beyond having to get groomed too much. They are enjoying games with all of us. 

Dogs go out and come in like wet rags. Rocco loves the Schnauzers. Rocky does too. Wish we could have swam but Mother Nature had something else in mind. 

Nothing for Ella or Inula today. But that is okay as Ella won every other show. Inula won one show. We are proud of them but hoping they get back tomorrow night. I look forward to getting back to 7am wakeup vs 6am. Dennis has been sleeping with some of the dogs and they keep getting him up at 6 so of course that wakes us up. Not enough sleep, I say. 

I did manage to keep Odin clean but had to wash him twice. He's a monkey. Ringo, Rocco and Reggie's visit is coming to an end. Oh well... we had a blast!

Short Update

Just a teaser - received a photo of Charlie -a Panda pup and it appears he is a water dog. oh fun but where is that sun NOW!!

I am slowly going crazy.... oh I think I already am. Poor Odin had 2 baths today waiting for mom and dad and their plane from San Francisco is delayed for 4 hours. Guess they will be coming tomorrow. Now to keep him clean till then - fat chance!

It's been raining. We have been mopping floors, cleaning feet, drying bodies, drying blankets. So forgive me for not much of an update though I did post show results below. 

Here are just a few photos taken before the rain hit. The schnauzers are visiting again and Rocky really likes them and so does everyone else including Saffron!

That Ella and Inula

Ella has had 3 best puppy groups this weekend. We shall see how she does tomorrow. It means she hasn't lost a puppy group this show. Wow!!

Inula got a Group 2 - wow! We shall see what tomorrow brings!

Should Have Got a Photo

No time to post but Jeannie ate more berries today and this is ridiculous as her face is a mess. Not what I need this morning. Can you leave some for me PLEASE!

Gallery, Sun Then Rain

Crazy day today. We got up at 6am. I am not sure why but we did. Everyone ate. We turned on the pool, played outside and we were hopeful. I combed everyone out. I did a couple of baths (3). Yes, it took longer but it went better than I thought. I am spoiled with 2 dryers and a bathing beauty. It is good for me to do this so I appreciate. :-)

Then Dennis started in on the flooring in the pool shack. He had to take the door off to start in on it. We must get it done before winter. Well, we (the dogs and I including the pups) sat up on the top deck. Some hung out with him and watched and well we relaxed and played and relaxed and played. We really had a great time!

Then the rain started coming so I was trying to help Dennis get the door back in place. That was fun...

Everyone ate. Some left and Rocky arrives shortly. And its still raining. 

Thank you goes out to Kona's mom for yum strawberries. Now I don't have to worry about Jeannie stealing all mine. 

Now I have a feeling I wil be combing dogs out before bed if this rain keeps up. Oh well...

Visits and Changes

Kona arrived just in time for dinner. Don't have a photo of him yet. Each time he is doing something fun I am doing something without camera in hand. Can't win!

Here is a bunch of photos from today. One collection of Coco is a riot as she did the face smash, run into the cushion thing that the havanese are so famous for but she just looks adorable!

This was AFTER I brushed her. Don'y yopu wonder why I even try? I surely laughed!

We had a really really full day playing. Didn't click much but did capture some moments. Nathan was off a bit afternoon. He has one of my dryers and my bathing beauty. Oh my...heh

Nathan Departs

I am washing Tiny, Inula and Ella this morning then Nathan is off till next week. Blogs will most likely be late. We shall see how it all goes. As its a warm day I intend on doing outside a lot as rain is coming tomorrow - that is outside after Nathan departs and baths and car is loaded and I get things packed like my dryer and bathing beauty. It means I will be washing dogs the old fashion way and using only one dryer. I will appreciate what I have more when he gets back. He will need both for Inula.

Can you imagine washing Inula without a Bathing Beauty and drying her with a hand dryer? It would take HOURS. As it is one dryer will take him a couple of hours - that is if he drys her all the way and he must or her coat will not look good. Laziness does not get the end result, I am afraid and oh boy I get her to the stage of damp and want to say you can air dry but then she doesn't look like she should. Fun.... Well what else will he do in Thunder Bay but wash a dog, watch tv, eat and do a show? I think I will be busier. :-)

Changes and Photos Added

It's a hard week for me. Nathan goes away tomorrow till Monday night. Clarity goes to what is hopefully her forever home on Friday. She is also sporting a new short do that I did earlier so I could adjust. I like her hair long so its been a transition with her and me. I got a dog in really matted so it will take me time to deal with that.

Murphy is here - fun, fun, fun!

Scruffy and Pepper dropped in - fun, fun, fun! Brewer, Finn and Odin are playing here. Okay I can't keep saying fun bit it is! It's threatening to rain so no pool and besides no time.

Nathan is out running errands before he departs tomorrow - haircut, cleaners, tag for the car plate, food - not so fun stuff. I am grooming and playing with the dogs. 

Murphy and Saffron are really tight pals. It will make class easier for them both, I imagine. Clarity will also be joining us at class and at the picnic so you will get to meet her new Mom Christine. She's a lovely person. So, please welcome her to the Talemaker gang! She's on our list for a puppy too so Clarity will eventually have a sibling after she bonds to her new home. I know Clarity will really like that!

Doing things as I can and still having fun with the dogs. I did pick up a ball that bounces in the water. Now that has the potential to be fun.

So she will brush us, we go out and well the wind makes us a mess again - we do it too! Oh it is so fun to get that human to skip a day. :-)

Sorry the blogs are late but we went to visit Anne, Russell and Cooper at their home today with Saffron, Inula and Ella. Here is a video. Didn't cut unwanted video out - had no time so if some is warbly forgive me.

Father's Day

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY TO PHANTOM AND NATHAN!!!

Shady and Nora were sitting on the couch right next to John as he opened his father's day presents, as they are always front and centre in all family activities.  We are heading to the cottage next weekend where Shady will swim his heart out while Nora watches and then they will run around like crazy.  Nora actually leaps like a bunny, three hops at a time with the third and final one being the highest.  Its hilarious!  Hope you have a great summer too.  

Down Time

As we have a very busy week ahead I am doing minimal updates so I can rest up for the craziness. heh

Nathan is off to Thunder Bay on Wednesday. Dennis and I have visitors and I get the dogs all to myself. It means less photos and videos unless I can get the son to click too but we will be posting what we are up to.

We will continue to try to swim. Dennis got a new door hung in the pool shack. He read directions on the net and did it. Now to replace some flooring in it. I should be weeding but.... I am not. :-)

Hi Darlah and Nathan,

So hard to believe that Molly and siblings are turning 4 years old on Saturday. She has been a healthy, happy, much admired addition to our family. She has been a wonderful therapy dog for young and old (and me).

Can't imagine not having her follow me around like a shadow. Larry always calls her MY dog but I know she loves us both. Her tail goes crazy when he comes home!

Hi Darlah and Nathan, hard to believe Stella is turning 4 tomorrow. She is the sweetest most loving little girl I could ever had hoped for, and quite the silly monkey.  Thank you again for all of your love and dedication to these darlings that bring us so much joy in our lives.

Got To Laugh

Yes another insane day. I just finished thinning out Cooper. The pile of hair is today's pile. I did this over 3 days several times a day with each day a pile of hair of similar size.

I also had Murphy and Satch visiting, Logan, Panda to bathe plus Mabel (bath and cut) and Satch and Cooper and no Nathan here. I even did nails but shhh don't tell Nathan as its HIS job. So blogs are suffering. But I 'will' play catchup. Tomorrow we have Lynda and Gallan coming over for a swim and good conversation and I have Harper and Sparky to do before they arrive plus brush out my own. 

Nothing today for Inula as Val's boy beat her (we have beat Val's dog so nice to have it go both ways) but Ella ended up getting 2 points. On Wednesday Nathan departs for Thunder Bay. On Monday we head up to Coops house for the day with Ella, Inula and Saffron. Dennis and Jon will be home with the rest. It will be so nice to get out. Looking forward to Shelley and Al's in August in Grand Bend.

Insane Busy

Sorry its just a busy day so no blogging today - well big blogging. Tonight I must wash Inula and Ella for the shows and we get up at 4am so Nathan can go to the show. Yikes... We didn't get many photos today (have some of pups) but here is today's gallery. I worked on Coops coat. We had Bonham and Tuffie here. We also had Dallas here. It was a good but very busy day. 

Tomorrow Nathan is gone and I have a number of dogs to do. It's usually not this busy but it will calm down. 

So enjoy the gallery. No one went swimming except me and that was strictly to exercise. It was a gorgeous day too. Got a ton of snuggles from the dogs today. It was rather feel good times!

Swim Day

Just Cooper, Brewer and Sparky went swimming today and as I had exercise to do, Nathan brushed them all out and then I did Cooper, Panda and Logan after I was done exercising to brushot and Coops some extra work.

When the dogs go swimming you have to brush them out thoroughly and if they are not short haired they also have to be dried as we have air conditioning on. It is a process but I love the dogs having fun and they did. 

As I am tired - long day - arent they all - quit complaining Darlah... the blogs will be short.

Sorry I didn't have everyone in it. We are trying to figure out how to replace a door on the pool shack and we are not handymen so its time consuming. Plus we had Patches and Abby over so be sure to check out the Jeannie and Spice blog too.

Rain Than Heat

It was an insane day - well at least for me. We had company and I had many dogs to do. I finally got my water exercise in and then was back doing dogs. I just stopped a bit ago. I took some photos and video but I was really relying on Nathan to do it and he took a tiny bit and I took the rest. As I was busy, well its not my usual. But hopefully it is good enough. 

None of the dogs went swimming. I simply was not available to take videos etc. Here is what I did capture.

Pepper and Scruffy was here for the day and really enjoyed themselves.

Sparky dropped in and he is loving being with Nathan.

We believe in comfort for the dogs. They love hanging outside and oh a pillow nice for me?

I am doing aerobics in the water for an hour a day. It's my time and I feel I don't have time for that but I am forcing myself to make the time. The dogs were wondering why I was in the pool. I did 1 hour and 10 minutes today even when Yvonne was here or it wouldn't get done. How rude of me but she understood and hung out. I moved and we talked and it was okay.

It was a 'good day' but an exhausting one for me.

Tomorrow we get to see Patches and Abby. It is a quieter day so we are hoping to get Cooper in the pool.
