Well Not Today

Well this one thought it would be grand to go in but it kept getting cloudy and did rain. So not many photos.

Oreo got a bath as he was looking grungy. He's back up at 5am. He was sleeping in till 6am. No matter what I do he wants to get up at 5am and wake the house. He had 4 days of 6am. He's an old dog. Just like Nathan says he is. LOL

It looks like it is about to rain again. 

Looks like cold all week long including Mother's Day. A huge happy birthday to Pippa (Bailey's mom). Hope you are not working and having fun. 

Dogs still manage to have fun but really other than me grooming, it feels like a lazy day.

Lots of dogs coming the next few days for sprucing up for Mother's Day. My blogs may be short. Sorry. 

No Pool Day

Alfie sure loves his food at each meal. I love a dog that loves to eat. Just like humans, not all dogs do. 

Oreo, being the old dog he is would enjoy sleeping but call me crazy, I take him out everytime we head outside as fresh air is a good thing and he sleeps better due to it. He so loves the snuggles.

It was my day off. Went out with Sherry for Japanese. By the time I got back it wasn't warm enough but Nathan did lounge out in the semi sun. Food and company was good.

Dearmint came by and brought unusual things for the hair for the dogs. It was so nice of them. If you have not shopped with them, you should. Their stuff is high end but lasts for a VERY long time. The quality is evident. Most of their stuff is made in Korea.

Dogs enjoyed each other. I am sitting here with a very full tummy. Mr. Pablo departed. Dennis cleaned the pond out front. He is now doing shelves in a basement room so I can be organized with my substrates such as blankets, totes, frames and the list goes on. I will be able to find everything but what possesses him to do it on my day off. LOL. I may take Jeannie upstairs with my ipad. Watch something and chill way ahead of bedtime. It is what Nathan does on his day off. I am learning. Everyone nee ds a day to rejuvenate.

Shall I Go, Shall I Stay?

Not quite as warm as desired so Nathan walked back and forth in the shallow end reading his reader for exercise. I groomed. Many are going home. A few arrived.

My day off is tomorrow but trying to renegotiate a timeframe someone is coming to visit here to see pups. I am reminded that my time changes are not easy. It can be a challemge. I wish I lived a life where it is easy to change scheduling. Still working on it. LOL

Alfie was saying - shall I go in or shall I stay out. He was really conflicted. He ended up staying outside with Dennis and Nathan. 

Everyone is asking about their dog swimming. It's not happening unless it's downright hot. Right now we are getting teased but dogs love this inbetween weather. At least it didn't rain.Mocha, before she went home this morning got mighty muddy. I love dogs with spirit though I could have not had the extra cleanup.

Yes It Was Rainy

This is Mocha that when she was finished grooming, she had her dinner. I want to call her adorable vs. Mocha. Dear old Meadow thought it was time to go home when I clicked her so I doubt I got her face. Let's just say it was interesting. Ms. Abby almost seemed like she posed. Now to keep them clean. 

It has been a long day with grooming. Ms. Cassie had the blackest feet. She is so full of it, it is a riot. Everyone got muddy. We - or shall I say me had much cleaning. They had fun though. 

Tomorrow lots of grooming again. I so hope no rain.

Short blog again as I am tired. Sorry - just know everyone is having fun and as I type Pablo is playing his head off. He surely loves getting everyone going!

First Swim 2024

Here is the gallery.

We took Sage, Misty and Ella in swimming for the 1st time this year. I didn't take any of the visitors as my hand and arm is hurting as I did 8 dogs yesterday that had come for grooming or was boarding. Tomorrow I have 7 dogs so today I rest. Sorry! You have to wash and dry a dog after swimming and I am it. I also combed out our dogs today. It is what it is. Despite the visitors not swimming they still had a ton of fun.

We took Rain and Hope out and they watched but had no interest. Sage, Misty and Ella was out of their minds to swim. 

We have Mocha and Harper here and they are so enjoying the play. Like out of your mind play. It's nice. Meadow is low key and Abby is silly play. It depends on the moments.

Ms Coco just departed and as usual she is full of herself and loves to be the leader. She also has this thing about being with Dennis and video games. Not sure what it is.

Teddy and Charlie are awaiting departure. 

My office is hot but Nathan says no air till it is consistently hot. LOL So, I suffer. I need a fan.

Life is but a cool dream. Yes, I am laughing!

Late Update

Cassie loves to run and run and run. 

We had clouds then rain and moments of no rain. I groomed 8 dogs and I am exhausted. I haven't eaten so this blog will be very short. 

Meadow, Abby and Mocha have really been excited when pups come. I expected Mocha to be but they love the new pups that arrive.

No one is happy about the rain though Oreo will stand and take it in then say enough.

Everyone is doing well. They are playing and relishing the times it stops raining. I hope for a no rain tomorrow. 

Warm Day Like Summer

We have puppy heaven here at the moment. Rain will head to her second set of classes tonight but till then she is having a blast!

It was my day off so we went to St. Jacobs. Saw 2 very serious car accidents. Got a box of fruit and veggies - huge box for $20. St. Jacobs was enjoyable but downtown is less than it was years ago. There are empty spots. Did get a magnificent pair of gardening gloves for Dennis and I. 

I came home and had my 1st swim of this season. I fell asleep as I had a serious case of GERD last night and didn't sleep for 4 hours. Long story but Dennis was downstairs with Oreo as he gets up at 530ish, this way the rest of the dogs stay asleep. I couldn't get pepcid extra as it was downstairs so I just tried to get past it. 

It is such a wonderful warm day and the dogs are LOVING it. Hoping it is warm tomorrow so I can click photos of Nathan and the dogs swimming. We shall see. Not sure what is on my plate so we shall see.

To Swim or Not?

I cut down Misty in hopes that we can swim tomorrow. She so loves the swim. Tomorrow may be a day to swim. We shall see. I already know Sage wants to go in. It is my day off so I am not combing them out after. Nathan almost went today. We just had too many ins and outs to be able to and I had grooming.

Ms Harlow went home today and so did Maddie, Zoe and Noah. Harlow was happy to see her dad. She loves him so. I didn't see Maddie depart but I am sure she was happy to see her mom.

Dennis had these great plans to edge around back but they sit in the box still. 

I had Maui coffee this morning. It was magnificent and feel good helping them. I love that coffee.

Dogs are enjoying outside. We had lots of pups today. They make life so much fun.

The world is getting crazy out there. I need to stop reading the news and just have fun with the dogs. 

Pool Time Soon

The pool is almost ready. Temps are up to 80, I think - maybe not. I have to go look but it no longer feels like your arm is freezing off. 

Sage is driving me crazy as she walks on the edge and every time I am putting the cleaner in, she interferes. She wants to swim so badly. 

It is Dennis day off so not a lot of photos and I have been busy cutting some of the cedars back so you can walk around the pool. It is for our benefit and for the dogs. 

JayJay has departed, Maui too, JayJay had this ritual to always come and greet me and let me snuggle with him. I miss it. Maui rubs his scent all over me. I have to laugh. Do I smell like a dog now? Bailey arrived and sat on Dennis lap to survey all. She is mighty comfie in his lap up high but she also went outside to inspect the pool.  

Dogs were enjoying the no rain. 

I have 1q more dog to give a full groom to.

We have only a few photos. Dennis is busy putting out plants (since last night) so very little clicking. I think it is too early. He knows best. LOL 

Tia and Benji depart tonight. Jay Jay departs tomorrow. All have had a fabulous time.

Very Warm and Rainy

It's been an adventurous day as we have 2 sibling pups visiting - Neesie and Daisy and we have the adults enjoying in and out. Despite the rain, it has been an open your windoes to get fresh air day. I wish we had nore of these very soon. 

Play Play Play

Neesie had a bath and is a wonderful fluffy ball of hair. Daisy is here for the play while her parents are at the game. 

It is a wonderful Sunday for the dawgs!!

Corrupted

We had a corrupted camera stick and Dennis is still trying to play recovery hoping to get some photos off of it. He got some but none of the pups so far. We had grand ones of a puppy called Malla here and it kills me not to have those. 

Dennis is going to take some more in hopes that we have more than a few. I will upload a gallery with something when we are done. He just finishing feeding so he will click some more and try to recover more. It happens sometimes. 

It rained for most of the day. 

Brodie and Brewer was visiting us for an overnight. I did get a photo recovered of him above. They seem to have bonded nicely. 

Mr. Oreo gets up at 5amish on so he is now sleeping with Dennis. Not sure if he does it at home but the early rising is pretty consistent here. He is an old guy so we forgive him. Jay Jay is also a senior but sleeps well till 7am. So does Majik that is a Wasabi son.

Ellie, Coco and Hazel departed so we are down to just Hope and Rain. It's relatively quiet.

It is finally sunny now so the dogs didn't get a heck of a lot of time outdoors but they are out now.\Gallery will be added in a bit. Best we can do.

It is supposed to be hot tomorrow. Pool heater is not on but raining. Oh well.

Some Are Mischievous

I had finished Gus, the pup and we took him out back. On to the pool steps he went threatening to go further. I screamed at Dennis to get him off the step as he was closest. He did. Only his feet got wet but boy he wanted to go in. There must be something in the air between pups and Sage walking literally on the edge of the pool repeatedly and old dogs. I know this will pass but right now they are very curious and excited but it is not warm enough. 

Pepper is seen posing in the gallery. She is so cute. Coco, the sweetie has already departed.

Brodie is back but departs tomorrow. Brewer and his sidekick is enjoying!

The dogs are loving outdoors. Our pool is almost clean. 

The dogs are playing. Harlow and Oreo is being vocal for their dinner. They can smell the food cooking up. 

JayJay is amazing dog. He's an old dog that is really enjoying himself. So is Oreo. 

Tia is at the fridge every single time I open it. She thinks I am starving her and we are not. Teddy is going to miss Gus as he played and played with him. Benji is playing well Charlie likes to manage the play much like our late Risa. Every single dog is enjoying and probably saying wow such great weather. 

Two Blog Day

Here is the gallery.

We have 2 birthday siblings here thus the 2 blog day. I made them a kerchief with their photo on one side and a design on the other. We placed it on the table in front of them otherwise you couldn't get a good photo of it on. 

Teddy and Gus has been playing up a storm. I dehydrated some beef and the birthday duo had extras but the rest also got some. It was gone in a flash. It took 5 hours to dehydrate. LOL

It was a warmish day. We have an issue with 2 wheels not working properly on our polaris and trying to see if we can order parts and fix it ourselves. It is still pulling up some debris but Nathan also took the manual vacuum out and tried to help it along. While he was doing that a dog went into the pool not once but twice. I had to wash and dry while he vacuum. He was a good swimmer. I just wanted a full day off. Only way is to go out, I suppose. It is what it is.

We have puppies in the house and they are silly playing. 

Everyone is investigating the garden. I guess with new growths come smells. The birds are crazy. We saw 6 of them at the same time in the birdbath and it fascinated the dogs. 

Dennis fixed my bathing beauty pump and my fan and they are working well again. I am thankful. 

Tonight I make grill cheese for Dennis and I after he is finished making dinner for the dogs. Harlow is vocal - as usual but so is Oreo. Even one of the pups is vocal. It is nice to see excitement when food is about to be served. Imagine if humans did that?

Hi Darlah and Nathan,

Ellie is 4 today! It was a magical day as we read blog updates and watched videos of the birth. She was the first born girl.  Mom Leti and Dad Stone. Siblings Kitty, Logon, Ollie, Teddy, Louie. These past four years with Ellie have brought us so much joy. 

Please give Ellie a big hug and kisses from us. We will celebrate when we return :).

Extra hugs glady given.

Happy Birthday from Kitty to her litter mates. It's hard to believe that it's already been 4 years since this little bundle of joy came into this world. She is an amazing little girl. We are so very lucky to share our lives with her.

Here she is enjoying a bit of warmth on this cool Ottawa morning. Her summer cut was done a bit earlier this year so here's hoping for some warmer weather soon.

Garden Smells

Lulu and Gucci says hmmm you smell good.

We had a squirrel that ran back and forth over the deck. About the 5th time, Harlow ignored it. I laughed. 

Tuppy says - do I have to stay clean - really? Charlie and Teddy and Tia and Benji are all smelling up the garden. There must be some smells. LOL Jay Jay is an old guy and seems to LOVE the outdoors. When I get some time out he snuggles on my lap. So nice!

Gus is playing like crazy with every single dog that will play back. He's such a puppy.

Barney arrived this afternoon.

Oh and Coco only got half yet. We are teaching her NO. Yes, I am laughing. Her packmate sister is perfectly

Rain Yet Again?

We won't have many photos as it keeps spitting rain. The pool has made a significant amount of progress with cleaning. I am surprised.

No one jumped in today but Hazel has departed.

Ellie and Coco are 2 peas in a pod. They so check on each other often though play independent as well.

Truffie's brothey Cody has departed. JayJay is an old guy and hears you sometimes and others not. hmmm I call him and he ignores. I call him and he looks right at me and comes inside. He makes me laugh. 

Charlie and Teddy are playing independent but are always aware of each other. Noah - well he likes it outside. His sidekick - rain let me back in quicklt - will ya?

What a Day

Here is the gallery.

The pool was opened bright and early. It was my day off and no longer my day off. You see Hazel abover jumped - yes jumped in the pool and so did Coco. So, I washed them and then while running an adult dog fell in - not intentionally so I washed him too. We are always out with the dogs so we see it all but I think Coco won't jump in again unless invited but Hazel.... well she is a mischevious soul and she is going to enjoy swimming this year. We should have kept her. LOL Rain and Hope looked and said - I don't think so. 

So, usually when you have a day off, Nathan would have washed the dogs but he doesn't do that anymore. It is all me. So when I announced I am changing my day off at 1st they balked but I won out cause really... 3 dogs when you were supposed to have none? Then laundry - then pads. I need to go out for my day off as it's not really a day off, is it.

I am now changing the pool cleaner every hour and a half as it needs it. The pool cleaner gets so full it stops. Nathan says it is too heravy and Dennis ignores so guess who will have the pool cleaned. I am laughing.

Dogs loved looking at the water. The adults that are ours live to swim but know not yet.

Tomorrow Tenshi goes home and it is her human's birthday tomorrow so I made a nice memory gift for her and will be washing Tenshi before she departs. Happy Birthday, Sylvia!

Pablo, Gus and Shlomo is coming tomorrow. We will see if Gus the pup goes into the pool. We are hoping not. 

It was a great day for the dogs despite the few that needed baths. They loved the weather. 10 years ago it was in the 70s according to Facebook and we swam. Not today. The pool is actually 68f which is an all time high without heating it yet. 

Now I need to head out and do the pool cleaner thing.

Jump for Joy

I love when dogs jump in midair and you catch them. It is usually too early, too late or you miss it all together. They do this more than you think but we don't always catch it in the moment.

Dogs are enjoying this non rain day. 

We had dogs come. We had dogs depart. They are about to eat shortly. 

Tomorrow the pool gets opened. That will be mighty new for Rain and Hope. I hope they are swimmers. 

Bailey is here for dinner and will be departing before bed. These days she is so thoroughly delighted with the play.

Everyone is having a total blast. They are already barking for their dinner especially Harlow. :-)

Cool Saturday

Here is the gallery.

We have many crates in our house but all are without doors. We do that on purpose. We want them to be safe and be able to crawl into one if desired and crawl out when desired. They do use them. It can be as simple as having a place to nap without being disturbed. 

It is cold outside. Dogs are going out but not highly playing.

Our pool is getting opened on Monday. I do not think it is warm enough but best to figure out if we have any equipment issues before it is warm.

We have a number of dogs overnight and for the day.

I have to finish grooming and the tummy is still not happy. I am taking pepcid maximum strength. lol
