Chillin Day

It has been a low key day. Tomorrow we get to see Rusty and Luna. We are excited. 

Koda we checking for squirrels. It is a riot as she is so intent on following their movement.

Dennis fixed most of the sprinklers so far. Our irrigation guys went out of business and broke a lot of things on closing so now Dennis is repairing. 

All the dogs had a great deal of fun but it was muggy today so although they went out longer, they decided indoors was much more refreshing. I get that!

Happy Canada Day

Astro was lazing at the pool on the diving board. The dogs had a chill day.

Dennis is fixing the sprinklers and I am the designated put them on per zone over and over and over again. 

It is 7pm and I want to go to bed but still have a few hours.

It is still hot outside. 

The dogs ran - they played and they had great fun. Now they are doing their nightly watch tv time with Nathan. They are creature of habits. Some take naps - some choose not to.

It is Raining

Best place in the house is always in Nathan's lap. 

We have very warm rain and the dogs have been playing. 

Life in this dawg house is mighty fun. It is a non grooming day as it is my day off. I wanted double layered popcorn and Nathan refused to get some. I should go myself but not motivated either. Guess I need to make a lap and have dogs on me too!

Weekend Sunning

No pool for anyone today. I still have a groom to do as soon as I finish this blog. I am also trying to eat. 

Dogs had fun today. It wasn't too hot or too cold. 

Dogs departed, dogs arrived. Astro is out of her mind having fun. But I do not see her in the gallery. I am confused. Dennis was on the camera but I was out with the dogs. It was a good time but now to get back to work.

Do They Have Fun

Dogs do have fun and they do smile. It makes my heart skip a beat when I see them interacting. Life should be fun. I am proud that we manage to even get a 1st timer enjoy and make new friends. 

They all get to that comfie enough to enjoy stage, Some by themselves, others by connecting them with a dog we know will bring their fun out. It is so important to enjoy life - humans and canines.

Love Fest

The dogs had a love fest with Nathan today. Me too but he had them all draping all over him. It was a sight to see. All this on his day off. He always brings the dogs that want to go for a nap. 

Pepper, Bohnam and Axel departs tomorrow. Baths and grooming tomorrow. Bailey is visiting as her humans are moving and packing - I so feel for them. Shady, Nora, Socks, Hazel and Ollie departs today. It has been a fun house. It is a great start of the weekend!

Sorry Short Blog

I still have 2 more dogs to groom. This will take me till bedtime and then I have dishes, pads to clean, floors to do as it is Dennis day off. 

I have not eaten so I will be eating and grooming after this blog. 

It did rain so no watering plants. Dogs tracked in all sorts of debris and I had an unexpected dog depart - our oldest visitor at the moment - a Kat son. He was supposed to go home in a couple of days so I had to get him groomed. He doesn't do well with groomings and does the overreaction with his owners. He is old - can't see as his cataracts dull his vision but he knows this house well - usesa the pad and enjoys swiiming still and the great outdoors, He gets around but he won't stay in position and is constantly moving during grooming. He is teaching me a great deal. He doesn't sleep at night and wants to eat at 3am. I love this dog! 

All that and the dogs have my floors looking saturated with all sorts of debris so I must wash tonight. Wish me well.... It will be a long night but I assure you the dogs had fun!

Cooling Down

Dogs were appreciating the cooler weather. Still warm but we had them out for short bits. Tomorrow rain maybe and the heat really breaks. 

Several dogs are going home. 

It is Dennis day off so if I don't make time for photo clicking - well no gallery so I will do it. Nathan could too. :-)

One things about being busy, I don't look at he news and for that I am thankful. 

Dennis is waiting till it cools down as he is gardening in the heat and will do a hide a treat game. He always makes sure everyone gets some treat even if they don't find one. Would a dog understand if he didn't? Nah so he makes sure they are all taken care of. 

I hope you are celebrating tomorrow's cooler weather coming and Dennis will celebrate not watering if it actually rains. 

Saying Hi

Cassie is always asking for the treats. She is a riot.

It was a long day today. I started grooming at 7am and finished not long ago then exercised and didn't get in my full time. 

The grand daugher and her boyfriend came for a swim.  Wanted to spend time with them but I was in my grooming room. I wish I had a swim with them.

I was so busy that I didn't eat till just a bit ago. Long day but dogs got out 1st think in the morning and are about to go out again. Due to the heat, we are being careful especially since we have a few seniors that are visiting. 

Shady and Nora is here. They really had fun. They say weather is breaking tomorrow. I hope so. The dogs need to get outside more. Dennis hardly took photos - apologies. I will try to do better tomorrow. The operative word is 'try' but we shall see. 

I need to start doing water dishes and make my coffee for early tomorrow. As we are not going out as much with dogs, we have to change pads frequently. 

Chillin

With this heat we go out late and early - mostly Nathan. They say 1 more day of heat. 

Dennis fixed hoses. He weeded in a sweatshirt - yeah don't believe that. Dogs appreciated being outside but we canb't bring them out past 8amish and after 8pmish. We are surviving and they are still enjoying.

Heated Up

It was way too hot and we only let the dogs out for minutes or early when we woke up. it is beyond hot and older dogs simply can't be out except for minutes. 

I did go in the pool but it still felt hot. Dennis is busy watering and i said but why? I said you need to do that when the sun goes down but he knows best.

Many departed today. I still have a grooming to do. My day off is tomorrow. I may stay in bed. LOL 

Dogs appreciate the air in the house and some are hogging the vents. We have some smart dogs here!

Such Fun

Neesi and Cinnamon had a great time with Nathan and I managed to catch it. It was wonderful fun. They are so similar - full of personality.

Poor Lachlan got sprayed by a skunk. This was at his home. This is the season. I don't want to see a skunk here as some of you that have been around for a long time know that I made Nathan sleep outside under the gazebo with a blow up bed, sheets and the whole 9 yards and walls when 2 of our dogs got sprayed. I learned from our late golden that when they come inside, they rub all over everything and the smell remains. It does on the dogs too as it seeps into the pores. It takes about 3 to 6 weeks before it totally fades. We took him into the pool then I did many treatments and get this, I should have done it with gloves on as when I started exercising, all I could smell is skunk. I guess I am skunked. Yes, I share so you can laugh as I am. This is the time to pick up from Pet Pharmacy or from your vet to have on hand skunk off. If you have corn starch, even better bnut you should have both on hand. I say this as corn starch absorbs the oil. Of course, I can do it for you if you are one of my grooming clients. It takes way too much time to do it for someone that isn't a grooming client. You can do it yourself but you need the supplies on hand. It lasts from year to year so no worries about it going bad. 

It was overcast today for a part of the day. The dogs enjoyed it. Our son and girlfriend came to visit. It was wonderful. The dogs had a ton of attention. Dennis did the run game around the pools. I had to cut foliage back so he had room to run. My bad but I got it mostly done. 

It has been a day of lots of work but it was a fun day too! Hope yours was too. Heat is coming.

Lots of Fun Today

Neesie is here visiting and she is over the moon happy. She keeps ki ssing us and was excited to see her mom. Ollie was also here and playeed like a crazy boy. Jersey, Lexi, Socks, Logan, Panda, Leo, Jax, Oreo and Charlie are really enjoying this weather. It is warm but not hot and Charlie loves looking for the squirrels. Harlow we are being careful with the heat so we take her out for small stints and she loves laying on the chairs by the pool. Life is good for all!

The dogs - all of them had a grand day!

It is our daughter and daughter-in-laws birthday today so we got to sing happy birthday - badly but we did it. 

Almost weekend!

No Photo Day

No gallery as we are getting the camera dry to see if we can get it to work properly. So far not.

I am frustrated but we will figure it out. Heat wave is coming. Make sure your dogs are in air and drinking plenty of water especially the older dogs.

Humid They Say

Here is the gallery.

Grass is shorter. Some of the dogs needed to stay inside in air conditioning as it was that humid. Dennis left my camera out and when I went to take the stick out, it was damp. I guess the humidity got into the camera.

Oreo at 16.5 needed to come indoors. We had him out for a minute or two. I come indoors and I put a sweater on and socks. One extreme to the next but the dogs appreciate the cool. Nathan does too. I figure we have a long enough winter. I insist on trying to enjoy warmth.

Dogs played indoors. Dennis played a ton of games with the, They had a wonderful time and he gave them all greenies.

Hot Day

After last year of Ella not swimming as Sage kept jumping on her, we took her out by herself and she was jumping in so many times, I lost count.

It was a hot day. Nathan and ella had fun. It was great to see.

Now Dennis is heading to the pool to do laps.

Me, I am blogging.

Dogs had fun today. It is still hot and they prefer indoors - can you believe?

I am still exercising daily. Dennis does most days.

Dennis is waiting for a wet day so he can weed in a rain jacket. LOL 

Rusty and Luna's family gave us a cup filled with chocolates. Yum!

My Day Off

It was my day off so no one was brushed. They get a break and I get a break. It all works. I will be back at it tomorrow. Everyone needs a day off. 

Dogs hung out with Nathan and me outdoors. Weather was lovely. 

We got to go to Fortinos today and I got my Italian Ice. It's a new brand with different flavours such as apple, oranges, mango and all sorts of flavours different from the last time. 

Now Dennis and I are going to watch tv with dogs. 

Before pups come, I think I need a total day off without still doing chores. LOL We shall see if I get that.

Father's Day

It was a great day for the dogs. Mia decided to swim. I had to dry her out. She is a strang swimmer and kept swimming away from me wanting to stay in. She is an old gal too. It is like riding a bike - you never forget.

We had chinese food. 

I just finished exercising as we had too much on our plate but I got it done. Nathan said - really - just skip. But I have this streak.

I also had grooming and dogs departing. Tomorrow is a no grooming day with my day off. It is supposed to be warm. I have to run out to Fortinos to get Italian Ice. I found another brand that I almost enjoy as much. I may have to buy boxes.

Hope everyone had a great Father's Day. I think the dogs truly enjoyed.

Not Hot Not Cold

Dogs came, dogs departed. It was a busy day. Harlow is doing better and you can tell as she wants to be outside more. 

We have not seen the mole, the rabbits but did find a deceased mouse. :-(

Charlie is hunting for squirrels or maybe looking for the raccoon. We have not seen it for over a day so I hope the dogs got it to move on.

Our son got our lawnmower fixed for Father's Day and mowed our lawn. It was really bad. Jon was really sick but picked it up, brought it to get repaired and waited for it to be done. Then he brought it back and mowed. How nice was that.

Pingo is waiting to be picked up and Oreo just arrived. 

Dogs will be spending a grand day tomorrow to celebrate Nathan. 

It is Cool Again

It is cooler times. Dogs are having fun. I have a dog visiting us that was so close to me at bedtime, I thought she was about to push me off the bed. It was a riot. Some dogs do this - others not. I woke up with my back aching.

Dogs played outside a ton. It is Nathan's day off and he gets Sunday off too due to Father's Day. 

Life for the dogs are amazing. Dennis kept them mighty busy. He was out trying to find the mole and they kept following him and trying to see what he was trying to see. It turned into a huge game. Pingo and Ollie led the charge.
