Last Year's Pose

This was Fiona last year tongue sticking out when Daddy said do you want to come in again?

I think the Havanese are the smartest dogs ever but I am biased.

I think she had enough here.

But it snowed up north when we drove Envy up to meet his mom. It semi snowed here but didn't stick when I ran errands to get stuff needed for Phantom to go travelling out west. He leaves Friday.

Phantom's dad is here and he is a delight and he thinks Fiona is the closest thing to the bees knees. Anyone remember that term? Google it if you haven't or ask your moms.

The pool may not ever open if this continues.

Remember this Fiona pup?Tomorrow Ty and a friend comes over for the day and so is Alfie coming to visit. Logan and Panda are here as usual. We will have a ton of photos to click and as promised (after I get a new hard drive in a day or two - I am out of space) I will get galleries going of the pups last weeks and post up fun videos.

Life is not quiet though so don't think I am lounging and getting tons done. Life has ways of throwing you unexpected things but you will still get your puppy fix from those that send updates in and my photos I have yet to do and the videos plus we will have fun catching the action of the adults to show you what you are in store for when they grow up.

Then when the next pups come we will update daily and new journeys will begin.

What can I say - dawg craziness.

I did manage to exercise and boy do I need it. 4lbs added on by indulging happens faster than you think. <sigh> Not for guys - I know.

It boggles my mind that you even have TIME to EAT! LOL!

Darlah - I have to admit that I do know what Bees Knees means - LOL! The funny thing is that it was likely from our parent's times. Well, now our kids finally admit that our music was better than theirs! So the gens continue . . .

Fiona looks good even when wet! Mine were beautiful fluffed up, but wet??? Not really! LOL I used to laugh at them when bathing that they were "all about the hair!"

Know what you mean - 3 wks of no pilates and I'm falling apart! Oh well, Laci has me in top notch mental shape! Physical will have to wait! :-)

That is such a cute photo of Fiona :) You are so right.. Havanese are geniuses! Lucy is 11 weeks and sometimes outsmarts us! Hahaha

Unfortunately I do know the phrase "bees knees" ... not happy to admit :(
I agree with Debi, that Fiona looks good even wet!
Funny, how they look good wet, frazzled, dirty, etc.... what's not to love ?!

Sue: The PROBLEM is I always find time to eat. If I only didn't have food in my house EVER.

Debi: I am determined to at least lose those 4 lbs in the next few weeks. Here is hoping. I did finally move all the puppy stuff away till next pups. I managed to get my laundryroom/grooming room cleaned, dogs brushed, errands run and Nathan did the ordering. He bought a hard drive ordered online that won't arrive till Friday and then I will have room to resize photos and do the videos. I said drive to Best Buy and he says its easy to just do it online. hahahahahahaha I got to love him. I could WALK to Best Buy and I guess I should have. I would have done exercise and got the hard drive on a timely basis. We did save $20 doing it online as they had a special. :-)

Tony, Sarah: I always found her quite smart too! They also know how to get their ways at times. Too smart sometimes. On the otherhand our golden is not so smart. I love her but they shed like crazy, have ocd issues (they see squirrels that they saw last year and well they keep looking for them) but are amazing dogs to help pups get acquainted with puppies. Ours did well in obedience as they are people pleasers but I could never teach her to go get the red toy but with patience you can with a Havanese. But I do love her for all her attributes she does bring to the table. Getting a new vacuum soon just to do her. The new dyson has an attachment to suck all the loose hair off of her. Going to be fun to try that one out on her. Would be a mess for a long hair havanese but a golden may be interesting. Did a trade of services so its shipping from the Maritimes today. Should I get excited about a vacuum? hahahaha

Angie: The bee's knees informally means the best, the most desirable.

Fiona is a little gal with great structure. You can see it when she is wet.

What does look funny is taking a havanese for a walk with long hair in rain and they look like they have this full hair with chicken legs. They make you laugh in so many ways.

Darlah- It must be hard to groom your Golden Retriever, your grooming table would be COVERED in little golden locks! :) Hahaha! I have to admit though, for having several dogs in your house, there is never dog hair on your floor or furniture. I don't even know how you fit in vacuuming into your never ending to-do list! If your getting a vacuum that sucks up all of that Golden hair... I'd be excited!

I've seen the Dyson Animal Vacuum! Things like that excite me too! Let us know how it works out.

Hahaha, I've used "the bees knees" on occasion.....not from my generation, but I just like saying anything that sounds cute like that :-)
The Havanese are the smartest dogs ever for sure.....I have nothing to substantiate that statement but I just know its true! How could it not be?
I stil can't get over how little the dogs are when they are wet.....so tiny, but you would never know with all their hair!

Hi Darlah
I'm with you . Havanese are the smartest dogs ever. Kayla continues to amaze us. We're so glad we chose Havanese, since this is the first time we have ever owned a dog. Kayla has taught us so much . She brings us such joy and love.
Is phantom going west to sire some more beautiful puppies?
Please tell Nathan there is no problem with her patella. She climbs these B.C trails like a trooper .
Now that we're retired we may be interested in fostering for the havanese rescue .
I will e mail u from the rescue site . Always enjoy the tale maker adventures as usual and the love and passion u have for the best dogs ever ( as I tell my Kayla )

You should tell Kayla's breeder that and they will be happy that she can climb tall buildings at a single bound. :-) I guess the Ontario vet was bang on and you got a new BC vet? It pays to get 2nd opinions. Glad you didn't opt for surgery. I am so glad when people question. Are you enjoying the move? I bet you Kayla enjoys the hikes in B.C.

We do have some rescues that come up from time to time in BC so that would be wonderful if you are considering. I will put your name down as a possible.

Thank you for the nice note. I am so glad for you, Kayla and we still wish you were closer. We rather enjoyed her visiting us.

Sarah/Tony: Don't tell anyone but I have a son that goes around with a black light every night to make sure no one had an accident and freaks out about the walls. He said no one should do such a thing as you may be cleaning night and day and still finding spots. He's always telling me I don't clean well enough and neither does Nathan. I laugh as I know I have but - well he is extra picky. It drives me crazy but on the other hand its nice that he is picky. But he won't cleanup clutter so that is what I am working on in my office - no xpen for now and time for the desk to get cleaned. :-)

So no one asked who that puppy of Fiona's was. That is Truffie's brother.
