We go in for her ultrasound on October 7th. Stay tuned!
Daddy thinks I am pregnant as I am WAY suckie. What is that? Oh I want to snuggle 24/7.
Mommy likes those snuggles.
Unfortunately starting in the New Year, our costs will go up. Please contact nathan for updated costs.

Yes she is washed but does she look that way? She's whiter but just as messy.
No matter what I do with her she just looks like a delightful mess and that's okay too. She will be getting a new haircut in a week or two but she is clean, her coat is feeling wonderful and I suddenly don't want her so short. hahahahaha
Shoshi had a bath today but this was her before her bath. You will have to wait till tomorrow to see what she really looks like. heh
I am doing washing to get it all done before Nathan goes away. This way I have easy grooming. Yes, a clean coat is easier to maintain. If it starts knotting easily, well it's time for a bath. But you must get knots out BEFORE you wash as knots turn into dense knots that are almost impossible to take out without much work.
I washed Wasabi and she looked a mess 5 minutes later - shhh Shoshi too. Oh well - a clean mess.
Our pool is now covered. The Rox is running right across it like she always did. Considering that most dogs are nervous with the trampoline effect, that's amazing. Tomorrow when Panda and Logan visit we will see how they do.
Today we did absolutely no grooming. It was a snuggle, play and laze around day. I rather like that as you have to have days like that especially when you have a busy week planned.
The moral of this post is BALANCE and the dawgs - well they are amazing additions to ones lives.
The summer is almost done. Fiona's heat is just about finished. We will do an extra day or two of isolation to be extra sure but life is returning to normal.
Phantom will go back to our pal Paula's as he is her dog and so will Sinner. It will be a quieter house for sure. But that is where Nathan will be hanging out during the Sudbury show.
Will returning to Paula's place throw Truff off his game? Perhaps but then he returms home and 'gets' that this is his home.
Is Fiona pregnant. She hasn't missed a breeding so ultrasound in 40 days. Stay tuned!
Can't wait till Fiona is back in bed instead of isolated with Dennis or Nathan. Nathan thinks she is his dog but shhhhh we won't disagree. hahahaha
Today I groomed with my grooming table outside. The dawgs all got to hang out and await their turn and I got the fresh air. It's an amazing day outside - gorgeous. I should head back out and I may.
Tomorrow Kona goes back home and we get a visit from Panda and Logan and a dinner together (Lynda's treat) at our place. It ought to be great fun.
Then on Sunday I am supposed to go tubing in Elora Gorge with the grandkids. Will I survive?
That means Nathan and Dennis will be hanging out with the dawgs while I am freezing my ahem off. So don't expect photos that day.
Then on Thursday Nathan is off to Sudbury for dawg showing and Dennis and I will remain at home.
Busy times...
Abigail is in need of a fluff and dry. Maybe tomorrow for her and Wasabi. If it rains, we will wait.
The pups have done a number on her coat but it will come back.
I watch what the dogs, big and little are doing in the garden and shake my head. The latest is the heads shoved in wet soil and the funny faces they bring in. I have learned to let them dry and then brush them out. I was washing over and over and said this is CRAZY. With one, easy but not with multiples.
Still, it is funny!
You have top keep your sense of humour!
The day started out with a bang. We thought Fiona was coming out of her heat but not yet. Patience Kat! If we can be, you too can be.
Then Kona decided to swim and thought this was mighty fun. We had left a ball in the pool and he thought he would just lean over and get it. In he went and he didn't seem to mind a bit!
In I had to go to blow dry him. So he just got his grooming extra early.
Good thing we always are out with our dogs. On the 12th the pool gets covered but still we are out there with them. The cover is a safety one so even Nathan walks on it if something goes on it. Still, I just feel better going out with them.
When you take a day off you feel like you groom all day - well in my house you do. I gave 2 baths and groomed the rest. Tomorrow more baths.
But I tell you, if Fiona doesn't hurry up this heat business (she should be done by Sunday, I will lose my mind. hahahaha
You haven't lived till you endured a couple of males and a gal in heat and only one male gets the gal.
Tomorrow we go back to normalcy. Today no one gets groomed. hahahahaha
See we are not obsessed......
We are in wait and see for Treasure pups so no updates today.
Everyone has been groomed, played, walked, having fun and now I am taking a nap with Treasure just incase. Stay tuned!
Did you know they make these toys that you can place plastic water bottles in that go crinkle, crinkle, crinkle? Your dawgs will love them.
Did you know you can take an unmatched sock and put an empty water bottle in it and tie the end and voila you have the same toy. Not as pretty as this one but the dawgs DO NOT CARE. They like both.
I may be cutting Risa into a cute puppy cut. What do you think?
Have I lost my mind? Every once in a blue moon I do this to Risa and Shoshi and it all grows back. Yes, it is winter that is coming but believe me they will have plenty of hair by the time the white fluffy stuff comes.
It doesn't matter if they are 6 months old or 10 they can still find the inner child in themselves and you will be in awe in how they embrace life. I know I am.
The havanese always fascinate me.
I have always been a dawg person but once I took the plunge with the havanese, I fell even deeper from dog owner to much more.
It isn't about breeding or showing but I have a real desire to 'get' what they are about.
They make it easy giving you smiles with their unconditional love.
How can one breed be so amazing but they are!
Panda is hanging out during the day weekdays while we get her ready for the show ring. She'll also be doing classes at the same time as Foxy.
Panda will have a brother (not from us but from our friend Yvonnes) called Logan. Those two will be as thicl as thieves - you watch! He's older and they are already best of pals.
At first he said - those little things are martians and them he started to play. He plays so well with her.
I am dying to also hear how Oreo does with Jenkins.
Well Fiona has been mated with Phantom twice now. It means we may have Halloween babies - can you believe?
Fiona is definately calling the shots and he's letting her. This mating stuff is so interesting - seriously. It's not the same old...
I am playing catch-up but life is too busy so I may have a bigger job than desired in the grooming department. Tomorrow I will try to make my way through the rest. This is what happens when you are away. I will bring a brush to bed and groom before I climb in.
Oh and Nathan thinks showing is hard but try doing the grooming for the show, the rest of the dogs, the house cause hey he invites people over and how many hours are there in a day and then the rest...but we try and that's all we can do, try your best and forget the rest.
Treasure is off to the vets. Phantom is here for Fiona and she was just bred today. If it took today that would mean pups on Halloween. Now you could come up with some interesting names for that day.
Then we rest and we HONESTLY rest and show and do other things. I adore the pups but we seek balance or I do. hahahaha
Off to finish the blogs, look at photos and try to get other things done.
Spice has a huge new ribbon to add to her shadowbox that we are creating. We are so proud that she won best puppy today.
Truffie showed the best he has and I do think he has a future but it was the wrong timing with travelling just before and all the changes.
But thedy both came home and had a roaoring grand time for 2 hours with the pups outside while I played and clicked too.
We are exhausted but it was nice to win.
Our deepest thanks to Valerie for showing our gal!
