Ty comes to visit just overnight.
This was a fun photo of him when he was still with us on that last bath before he left. He will be leaving when Cha Cha is going - about the same time as the Coco and Doozie.
It will be quiet times with just Daisy visiting Sunday night. I hope this mud goes away as she is a gal like Wasabi - oh mud - you can't blame me - I just have to have fun!
I bet you Timmy and Cha Cha is like this too.
Deep down - other than the work, I admire a dog that lets loose like that!
Check out Wasabi's Blog to see Shady's new hairdo. :-) You can look at him below the post to see his before when he was younger.
Daisy was visiting and really, really enjoyed the Cha Cha. We really enjoyed her and her enjoyment of the Cha Cha.
Coco and Doozie are now here and depart around the time Cha Cha leaves.
Coco and Doozie dance and have been since they are young. It is amazing to see what they can do.
They are now sitting in Nathan's lap watching tv in total comfort. heh
Life is good!
I am going to put this short and sweet. What is it about the Rox? Look at that tongue on Scruffy making sure he gets his lick in. hahahaha
As you can see, Daisy is laying there too ignoring his fascination with the Rox.
I think Daisy just doesn't get it.
Take a look at Scruffy, Daisy and Cha Cha on Fiona's blog. They love the Cha Cha too!
Miss Abs loves to get out for a few minutes between feedings and puppy stuff.
This is a photo of her from yesterday as today I am at the hospital with the grand daughter.
Dennis and Nathan are caring for the dogs and they tell me things are going rather well.
Maybe I should get out more? hahahaha
This is how Ringo naps :).
He likes to think he's human.
We are starting the family dog class at whos walking who on Wednesday.
I am looking forward to it!
The Roxie gal really likes to play with people and other pups. She's a gentle being just like her mom.
We had visitors over in the morning and a pup going home in the afternoon. It's been a busy day.
Not much energy to post so I hope you don't mind.
Everyone got brushed, fed, loved and well we played and played as we always do.
But now can I crawl into bed? I don't think so - hahahahaha
We are excited that Paula's Phantom and our Wasabi have a new champion. We look forward to doing it again with Wasabi's daughter and Phantom. Let's hope for a gal this time - well Paula wants a gal like Envy. We shall see....
Wishing I could have seen him show in person. We all look forward to seeing him earn his American championship. He never lost as a class dog on the way to his Canadian championship.
Bravo to Panda for beating a special that took Best of Opposites in last year's national specialty. Today Panda took Best of Opposites over her in a Toy Specialty in Sudbury. I heard Panda was wonderful today! She is more than halfway now to her own championship.
Panda had a blast taking a hike through Paula's property. She has 80 something acres. Now she is back at Lynda's enjoying Logan and all her human family. We will see her again tomorrow!
It's already turning to that fall like weather. The dogs are enjoying the weather.
I have to get to grooming. Truffie has been washed but no one yet has felt the brush and comb other than him. I figured I best get the blogs done so I don't have them pending.
Terra was up several times last night so sleep was not good. She had to make mad dashes out to the yard. This is one of those dietary indiscretions. Today its gone. Joy - not - I am tired and much to do. I may go to bed at 9pm. hahahaha My usual is at 10pm.
Caffeine is my friend.
Dennis loves to clean things. We have all the dogs beds done, all the blankets. He sterilizes everything. I bumped into Jonathan our other son at 430am just finishing playing video games. tsk tsk. Getting him to help out is a challenge.
Since its just our dogs the dogs did a change up on positions in the bed. I have Treasure on my neck every chance she got so much so I think I need to exercise the kinks out. There goes that 'e' word. I have to get back to it.
Maybe the dogs and I will watch a quirky, bizarre show from the UK called Misfits. I am into season 2. The first show I said you got to be kidding and now I am in season 2. Maybe I am warped but I like some of these characters even though they are so out there. I can watch, snuggle with the dogs after grooming and maybe Dennis can take a nap. He's not sleeping much trying to take care of mom.
Pups are not much care so he can sleep at night interupted but still better than constant stay awake, I suppose.
Today Jlo went home and so did the Scruffs. I will tell you last night Jlo slept in my neck and Scruffy slept on my chest breathing in my face. It's true. It was a riot. Roxie slept on my legs and I woke up with a terrible cramp at 430ish.
I heard that Panda is halfway to her championship and Envy has his championship. Poor Panda didn't have gals to compete with. Envy had boys. It happens. We are happy with both of them!
Nathan got to see the Teaser and Truffie pups and took photos which I will share on Monday.
Logan didn't come today and I rather missed him.
Tomorrow is Saturday - 2 more nights till Nathan gets home Sunday night.
It's warm. Dennis is sleeping and we are trying to play and stay quiet. Oh, is that fun or what...
For those that don't believe Roxie and Scruffy aren't best of buds, here are some photos I took this morning.
We have managed to play fetch, tug, we did grooming. They ate, they barked a couple of times and got corrected and we are waiting for Dennis to get up so pups can go play. It's already setup outside just waiting for them.
Off to do dishes and play with the crew more and maybe I will get a shower in tonight and eat. No time to eat today... oh well...
That's it... Nathan leaves for Sudbury soon. I need to wash Panda before he goes. He needs to do last minute errands. But before this craziness sets in we managed to have some great sunshine moments.
I may wash Logan so I do not have to wash him Friday. I have Jlo to wash and go home.
We have visitors coming Monday morning from Chicago. Instead of my marathon brushing one at a time as we go through the day I will do them all in the morning. I just finished everyone about an hour ago. I usually do one here and there instead of an assembly line process. heh I am glad when I do them right after each other as its then done. I rarely miss a day.
As we still have Spice in heat it means Kat has to sleep downstairs in the hallway with Dennis while I get the rest. We've never done that so it can be an interesting one. We shall see. Poor Dennis - maybe he will keep him awake.
I honestly brushed Scruffs but as you can see here he is not cooperating. Can you look brushed for more than 5 minutes? He reminds me of Spice and Wasabi mucking it up every chance.
Well, the grand daughter is in the hospital longterm so after Nathan gets back I may be doing some night time stints to relieve the daughter. Friday a colonoscopy and upper GI. We were hopeful she would be out after that but she said no she will probably be spending her birthday in the hospital and that's on the 23rd. What does she want for her birthday? To go out to eat and to be out of the hospital... sigh.
The Scruffy one got a brush out as soon as I was up. (Got 4 hours sleep) This was taken by Nathan as he had the pups out with some of the older crew.
Scruffy really seems to like the pups. He especially likes Timmy. Maybe that is due to Timmy being bold, grabbing his hair and saying - hey play with me will ya!
Scruffy seems to enjoy that attitude.
He does play with Cha Cha but its more of a soft play where with Timmy its full on play as if there is no size difference. Cha Cha says - hey whoa I am smaller than you - you know!
Scruffy no matter how busy you are brings a smile to your face and he just loves the Roxie.
No time to update. Washed a few today. Got to spend time with Abigail now. Take temps and all that stuff. I go out of the room and she cries for me. So, we are connected till she has pups to focus on them Dennis does the night shift or maybe I will. Maybe she will decide not to have them till tomorrow. We shall see.
It's either tonight or tomorrow though. Well guess what 9/10 was the magic day.
Does the hair ever stay this way if you don't tie it back? Not really even with hair gel but it can stay that way for a photo or a walk around the ring.
But it sure looks nice like that, doesn't it? Some people train their dog's hair like that pinning it separated in half to the side where the hair will eventually just fall that way - just like ours. But just like ours given a chance it reverts to its natural state.
The Penny went home. We are back to being just us. Penny and her fun attitude will be missed.
It's a quiet month... as Nathan deals with a show, we have pusp coming and I can get everyone bathed before Abigail has her pups - yeah right...
Miss Panda Bear got a point yesterday for Winners Bitch and Best of Opposites and the same today. Envy won Best of Winners and Winners Dog. The duo is doing just great and we expect great things in Sudbury - no pressure. hahahaha
Miss Panda has a very early show tomorrow so I must wash her just before bed and comb her in the morning.
So much work for shows but the Panda is getting better each time. The shows actually help them in a big way with conditioning.
Penny is visiting just this weekend and is getting along fabulously. If she doesn't like something someone is trying to do , she lets you know. I love a gal that speaks her mind!
It's nice to see the other dogs mothering the pups. The pups now follow whomever is out there to play with or just hang out with. It's enjoyable to watch.
They have all had a lazy day. Me not being whole and well I got everyone brushed, Logan washed and am having some chicken soup or trying to.
The dogs will soon gather around while I lay on the couch after Logan gets picked up. It will be a wonderful blanket of Havanese. Terra would join us but then there wouldn't be room for me. hahahaha So she will join me on the floor resting her head on me, I suppose and I will chill and get better. Best way to get well, I tell you!
Here is a recent pic of our dear sweet Lucy!
----
Sarah she's so cute and I love it that she still loves her quacky duck!
Seeing I am a tad queasy today. I decided not going to the last class - sigh - really feel like we let you all down but Nathan is sick too. I feel sick to my tummy and with shows 2 weeks in a row coming up and Lynda also feeling overwhelmed with kids back at school (she works at the university) well it was easy to say we have to count. Well, not that easy - but sometimes its wise to realize your limitations.
So, I hope the rest of you have a blast tonight. We get to see Scruffy tomorrow and hear all about how Scruffy and Ty ruled the class. I am off to bed early to play recovery as I have Panda to groom for showing tomorrow and Scruffy to have fun playing with.
Above is a photo of Kat's brother Murphy. Right from the start he had this strutting attitude and his mom has him in fashion shows. Risa adored this pup as he gave as well as he took and that brashness is what Risa loved.
Do you see the similarities in the Kat pups?
What is it about Panda and Roxie? Logan loves to maul them playing rough and chewing style. Poor Lynda trying to control that! I redirect him and stop him but as you can see between the rain and the Logie well Panda is a tad disheveled.
But Spice jumps on Logan and he goes - oh oh. Spice is rather physical so she gives as much as she gets. Logan used to play with her in a big way and then she went into heat and they had a repreive and her hair is starting to come back. It's not there yet - maybe a year from now but it is growing. :-)
But I am still trying to figure out how their relationship changed and his attentions went to Panda and Roxie instead. Fickle men. Spice still likes him but he's not sure to handle her these days. Next month it will change again - just watch!
