Yikes: Updated

Saffron is in heat. I thought we had till next month. She's the one who started it all the last heat cycle.

Only have a few photos.

This is Cosmo. For some reason he likes to walk the rails literally. He's the visiting squirrel hunter.

It rained really really hard today. So, hardly any photos. Risa walked out in the rain and got drenched. She didn't seem to care but everyone else did. when will this rain go?

We have been hearing how Spicy is doing. All good.... including those mad kisses she does. they will have to get used to that. There is no curing her mad kissing love.

The next few weeks will be interesting....she is beautiful! I wonder who will be in heat next 😉

So? Is saffie going to be a mommy again?

Oh wow. Just one litter finishing and you may begin the process all over again. 😘
How exciting (for us)!

Yes, we decided to duplicate that litter as we liked it so much. If she breeds, most likely she would have pups the very end of August to the first few days of September. We knew something was up as Kat was pretty miserable the last few days. He always knows when someone is coming in and he knows he is not being used any longer.

These pups go home the end of July 28th on) so that means we have a month between and we can make the picnic - both of us!

When we were at your house on Wednesday, I now recall Nathan saying that Kat was going crazy. Now I know why 😉

Yes, those mad kisses from Spicy are totally wild and awesome! I never knew a dog could kiss so much. Our wake up call this morning was totally hilarious, showered with non stop kisses and tail wagging. And I'm not exaggerating ❤️🐾☺️

Saffie made such a terrific mom first time. Glad to hear timing works so well so you make the picnic and get. Decent break.
Anne, sounds Lille Spicy has settled right in and is very happy with her home! (Clarity did the same. She would kiss my face to get me up. Once she nipped my nose when I wanted to laze in bed a little too long ... I did that once only,

You have to take a video, Anne as no one will believe her wild kisses. hehehehe That tail is going too - so happy!

I promise a video when Russell is back tomorrow :-) Woke up to another round of wild kisses this morning, no better way to start the day I tell you. Even Cooper joined in. No need for face cloths!

Yes - the love is grand!!

I think Murphy inherited the mad kisses from her mom. Although in the morning she waits patiently staring at me and breathing on me, if I am out and return home, she SMOTHERS me with kisses and wiggles and tries to climb down the front of my shirt. It is pure love.

So very happy to hear Saffie is going to be bred again with Stone. That pairing's pups were out of this world and they seem to be very fertile together, since the first time it happened so quickly. ;-)

Anne, I am so very glad Spice is so happy. Darlah and Nathan, I hope it helps you over her loss to know she is so happy. And, as Anne says she will be back for boarding, how wonderful.

It seems to be the norm, Havies kissing their human parents to wake them up. Radar does the same. As for Patches, I have to wake 'her' up - she is a sleeper for sure in the mornings.

It makes my heart smile when I read Spice is happy giving kisses.
I can be so biased, but Saffie and Stone do seriously make some great pups. Tenshi is such an adorable sweet doggie, she just makes everyone smile just by being herself. I wonder if Saffie will hide her pregnancy this time around...

So exciting about Saffie !! Wonderful to hear how well Spice has adjusted. Always amazes me how quickly they adjust. Too funny about all the morning kisses. Rebekka's response to morning goes something like - seriously, do I have to get up ?

June 24, 2017 | Unregistered CommenterMaureen

Not all adjust easily. For instance our Shoshi will always remain as her comfort zone is with the others and here. She can visit. She can go places but she would take a long time to adjust if at all. You have to know your dogs. Spice will come back for a visit. She will be over the moon happy to see us and her pals and happy when Anne and Russell come to get their duo. I know this as I know Spicy otherwise I wouldn't have departed with her. I wasn't sure how fast she would adjust but something about getting spoiled matters to Spicy. hahahaha Same with Clarity, Trouble and Sadie. You see there is nothing wrong with Shoshi (she's an old lady now) but she has a job here. She is the duck hunter, the get the pack going for a chase gal. It is important to her to be a pack member As a single dog or one of 2, she wouldn't be happy. Sort of like the big family syndrome - oh my gad let me get out of this craziness and well what will I do without this craziness. Different mindsets. All okay. Just have to know who would be happier and the 'right' home. Awful crazy process for us but then again happy when it is the right fit. If it was about 'me' they would all stay but not bloody fair to them now is it? Had to accept my children being all over the place. Only 4 in town, 3 away. That is their journey and you miss them but if they are happy you are!
