Wet and Gloomy

It's been raining all day and that brings mud. So cleanup hasn't been the easiest today.
Nathan brushed a couple of dogs. I lined combed and brushed the rest.
I find by being thorough and placing a comb through the coat to find any remaining knots, the coat stays knot free longer and makes my job easier.
Many people do a puppy cut and I rather like them. But my passion is in full coat despite the work.
Eventually I will go short and at times I do clip one or two down and start anew but that's the fun thing about them. You can change their look as much as you want to.

That's our Katsura. See http://www.talemakerhavanese.com/katsura/ He is our pool diving dog but it seems Truffie and Roxie are too these days. Still, he is the one that can't get enough and started the ball rolling.
He is a very handsome dog! I do recall the 1st video Nathan sent me was of he and the dogs swimming. I really got a kick out of that. Our 1st dog was a great swimmer and loved the pool. Our 2nd not at all - sunk for some reason so what can ya do? Here's hoping for a swimmer like yours! :-) W/ the timing, it will be great fun to acclimatize our puppy to the pool.
If the pool is open and the weather cooperates we always take the pups in the pool. We were blessed to be able to do this with the Wasabi and Abigail pups. Many of them like the pool, some not immensely but can be conditioned and some like our Kat, Truffie and Roxie ADORE the pool. Kat would swim all day long if allowed.
