2 Blog Day Today

Here is the gallery.

It is a very busy house with many departing tomorrow and Sunday. It's not even March Break. LOL We also have a family coming tomorrow. These are very busy times then Sunday the Cinnamon puppy visit times 2. Tonight I have 2 more dogs to do and many tomorrow. I am tired thinking about it and Nathan says we have so much to do. Really? I laugh as I do the bulk of the work quite literally.

It is cold today but the dogs had fun. They will head outside again to play after dinner. Me, I am off to upload puppy videos then begin grooming again.

Hope your Friday is going well.

I can't believe Frannie is departing tomorrow. Such a short visit this time.

Dusted Snow Fun on Leap Day

Here is the gallery.

Hazel and Rain were playing up a storm. Rain, Hope and Hazel were playing like crazy in the snow dusting we had but so were the adults.

It is back to being cold. The pups do not mind. Rain and Hope had their shots today. They go back for their rabies in 3 weeks from now.

Lachlan loves, loves the outdoors. Maybe we keep it too warm inside. Maybe its the chance of chasing the rabbit. Maybe its just the play.

Ms Tenshi has decided it is too cold for her outdoors. I do not blame her.

Everyone had a cold and playful session outdoors - oh about the 4th time. Even Dennis is complaining it is too cold.

Still Combing

Here is the gallery.

Benji departed a few ago. As we have mud out back, it was a miracle time of removing mud from him and all. He  did go home freshly groomed and cleaned. I am still combing out everyone else. I did manage to get a new rake and it helped remove mud. hooray. It's not that the other rakes I have do not work but this has bent tines on the end making it easier. So far, I like it.

Coco and Hazel was here having a COMPLETE blast. Hazel had the pups all chasing her. Last night we saw Hazel and her mom in class. It was fun. I included the few photos I had of class and unfortunately someone was standing in the way so I had to take photos through the plexiglass. Oh well. They were wonderful in class and we did something decadent on the way home and had Dairy Queen. Dennis stayed home and took care of the dogs.

Other than muddy times - which everyone experienced, they had a wonderful time. I need to finish them and then I am going to sit in a recliner, upload videos and relax. We shall see how that goes.

Tomorrow I have to wash all the Cinnamon pups and Nathan has to take Rain and Hope to the vets for their 3rd shot then Friday the vet comes here. It will be a very busy few days.

To Stay Clean

Here is the gallery.

Each time Ollie comes, we go shorter and shorter. LOL I will freshen him up before he departs. I have class tonight so going outside with white hair - well the mud is not conducive to clean looking, so indoors you are. He is already looking a tad messy but he will get a sprucing up when I get back from class tonight.

The dogs stood at the doorway to look at the rain and went - nah not going to go.

I asked Alfie to go out and he headed for under the tv stand only coming out to play when he figured going out was not on the agenda. He's too smart for his own good. One has to laugh.

Benji is heading home tomorrow after a bath and haircut. He has played so much with everyone, he is apt to be way tired going home despite the naps.

Chloe and Maisy are getting along famously. They seem to pair up on the find the treat game, which I find interesting.

Soon March Break will be here. LOL Can we get rainless days?

Sun Bathing

Here is the gallery.

This is my no grooming day so there! Everyone needs a day off. I can't wait till swimming pool weather. Today was a warmish day and was lovely outside but I want more heat. I am taking a day off as I have a very busy week this week between Rain and Hope's class, groomings, vet visit, baths for pups and 8 week visit. So.... although I still did pups and all the rest that I normally do, I didn't pick up a brush.

I have a new bent metal rake coming and it should arrive mid week. I am looking forward to seeing how well or not it works. I am always trying something new.

Dogs are sitting outside with Nathan as I type enjoying the sunbathing. Dennis is in the basement playing a VR game. It is a quiet day.

Tonight Woodruff departs and Alfie arrives.

Nathan is running or attempting to run but he thinks he has an inner hip arthritis pain thing going on but he is trying to make it more fluid. It is hell getting older. The dogs just look at him as if he is not running but attempting a new dance. Life...

In Out and About

Here is the gallery.

Hey, can I play too, Dennis? Dogs had an immense amount of fun. Many departs today. Benji arrived. So far, they have  had a total blast.

It's mid afternoon and about to wait for dinner and chill out in the warm blankets in the tv room or kitchen.

After dinner Dennis will play find the treat. Who will find one? Not to worry - they all get one but some get more than one. Those that don't have to sit, down stay etc to earn theirs. They all get at least one. :-)

Brr It is Cold

Here is the gallery.

It is cold out. It is sunny. Looks like it would be a warm day but brrr and everyone that has picked up or dropped off say it over and over again.

The dogs are having a great time despite it being so cold. The ground has less and less snow but today nothing else will melt.

Relationships seem to be totally solid with each other. Everyone likes and plays with each other. When Jax came in today they welcomed him. Let's have fun! So he did and so did they.

The 4 dogs that came in  the door attached to each other are now playing independently despite always being aware of each other. This is positive. We spend a lot of time cultivating independent play. It is like going to a party and only talking to those you know. Imagine what you would miss.

The dogs are now in the tv room warming up, watching tv, napping and smothering nathan with love. How can it be better than that?

Busy Times

Here is the gallery.

Ollie says little by little hair is going. LOL I do not care. I simply want to have fun.

Dogs played outside despite the nippy air. Far cry from spring like weather yesterday. Still that human went out without a jacket.

We had a visitor to see Katie. We had a visitor that wanted to introduce their puppy to us for boarding. Nathan was late for a nap. He did manage to get one in with quite a few dogs. The dogs relish the naps. It's funny. I think they like it as much as Nathan does.

Dogs are enjoying TV time. Some actually watch. Others snuggle and snooze. It is a bonding moment that is hard to explain but it's a must each day.

We Are Funny

Here is the gallery.

Mia barks at Nathan to get out of his chair - worse he does and she jumps up to take it over. Then he realized what she did. So, he sat down and this is the result. Who is smarter? I am so laughing.

It is a huge meltdown. We have balmy spring weather. It's muddy. Snow is almost gone. It's been a strange winter so far.

Dennis has been busy putting his old video card in my machine, upgrading the router and well not being able to take photos. Sorry. Life goes on. The dogs still play and well a good time is had despite busy-ness.

Do They Ever Nap?

Here is the gallery.

Do the dogs ever nap? YES! They play hard then rest or nap. Some lay in the tv room just chilling and others fall deeply asleep. It all depends om how hard they play. It is important for dogs to play recovery. Then they are back at it again.

We always give them warm blankets in the winter and in summer the air is up and they still have blankets though not heated up for comfort. We also have a lot of crates without doors if they are so imclined and a slew of beds. Each night we pick them up, change them out and wash them.  Dennis also will play a video game or watch something in the kitchen and he lines up chairs so the dogs can sleep beside him or watch what he is doing.

They have an incredibly full day if they so desire.

The dogs know how to have fun!

Changes

It is unfortunate but we have to institute a new payment plan. Please pay cash on drop off or before you pick up your dog, do an etransfer. We prefer cash. We understand convenience but we are having to chase people to get paid - not just 1 but many. This is unfortunate. At times, people insist they paid by etransfer and we have no record of an etransfer. We have to take up much time checking online and calling the bank.

It takes weeks at times to get paid, if at all. It is frustrating. This is our livelihood and no one else gives services and either allows you not to pay or forces you to chase them. I do not want to say I can't take your dog(s) as we were not paid previously. I literally hate being in this situation. If you do not know the total, ask ahead of time. To those that pay on time and bonus give me a tip for grooming - I so appreciate you. I only get half the grooming fee and that goes to supplies. Tips are mine. The rest goes to our expenses. Sorry for being so explicit. At this moment we are waiting for 3 payments.

We so need a solution. Sorry....

The dogs have been playing in and out today. If the snow is dirty - it is Dennis fault. LOL He keeps trying to shovel and pour hot water and all the crazy things he does but we had a full house so forgive him and I don't edit the photos. I do not have time.

We played many games today and the dogs are exhausted but had a ton of fun. Nathan shopped and bumped into the delivery guy for chips for Loblaws. He asked why just the small Ms Vickies and was told the large are at Walmart. Loblaws no longer has the large size. Imagine that. I so hate Loblaws.

We are in the melting stage. Every bit of snow is slip sliding away off the gazebo roofs. The dogs watched me get hit by some. How stupid am I?

In and Out Play

Here is the gallery.

Woodie and Brodie are the best of pals. They play inside and out. They play so much that Coco the maltese had enough and tried to get them to stop. We even have it on video. For such a tiny thing, she truly thinks she is boss. They ignored her totally.

The dogs are playing like crazy today. We keep taking hot water to dilute the pee in the snow stains but hard to keep up with visitors. It is what it is.

I think I need a nap - with a dog or 2. We wish!

2 Blog Day

Here is the gallery.

Coco was running like a crazy gal in the back yard and get this, she wanted to stay out.

Mr. Petey and Ollie had their baths etc and then mom told us they cancelled the plane. That's okay. When she gets back, they will still be clean.

Big pups, little pups are all playing in the hall as I do the blog. Dennis is sitting with them.

Dogs enjoyed the brisk day in and out. They played and played. Some took naps - others just rested. They are very active here. They have fun and we do too watching them.

Hunting and Fun

Here is the gallery.

I think we have a stupid rabbit and since Harlow is not here no one is hunting it. He or she comes out and slowly walks across the yard without any interruption. It starts to run, the game is on. LOL

This is family day weekend. We have a busy house but it is a mighty fun one. Personally, I could use a nap but not happening.

Snow seems to be sticking. The dogs are loving it but when they come inside to warm blankets, they are in heaven. Yes, I warm up blankets in the dryer for them. They are spoiled especially Coco. LOL She gets lost in the warm toasty blankets. Yes, I am talking about Coco the Maltese. When she is not getting lost in them she is keeping Nathan's head warm. It's as if he has a built-in hat.

Hazel, Bonham, Trigger and Logan and Panda has departed. The 4 in one family gang are branching out and playing with others. As a matter of fact, dogs are playing with dogs they usually do not see as if they are the welcoming committee. I am impressed with the dogs here. They are the most welcoming bunch!

Snow Fun

Here is a gallery.

You won't see the pups in this gallery but you will see them in the Cinnamon gallery as the older pups played with the Cinnamon pups.

It is Family Day weekend so we are at capacity. It is a mighty fun house. Everyone is playing with everyone. I can't believe Trigger is going home tomorrow. He has been the hugest play monkey this trip. He has not stopped and boy he loved the snow. Logan, Panda and Bonham will be departing. Bonham is the ultimate - oh my we have snow dog. It's a riot!

Old Coco and Maltese Coco is here. Old Coco loves the fridge being open.

Maltese Coco says are you nuts - snow really - I prefer Nathan's head.

It's the start of the weekend and the dawgs and us are having fun. Very busy weekend but we are up to it.

Snowy Times

Here is the gallery.

Coco the pup has departed. Coco the adult has departed. LOL

The pups got to play in the  snow. They had a great time but so did the adults.

What is this white stuff? It is cold, wet and well fun is to be had.

We hardly got any snow so we had to make the most of it.

Just think I started grooming extra early so people didn't have to drive in the snow. I should never listen to the weather people.

Inside, outside fun is to be had and no snowballs or mud - bonus!

Tomorrow we have a slew of visitors coming for Family Day weekend plus a Cinnamon puppy visit. We are going to be busy this weekend but we will also have a ton of fun - and the dogs will too.

Happy Valentine's Day

Here is the gallery.

It has been a busy but fun day. I am doing dogs earlier as a storm is supposedly coming tomorrow. Other than crazy getting up early (which is what I think should be done) I am starting to face cancellations that all want to be done on the 16th. It is Family Day weekend, Puppy visit, and puppy baths too. I will go in the order received. It is the best I can do.

If you are coming tomorrow for drop off or pickup, I will do my best to accomodate you. Otherwise they can just stay. The earlier you let me know the more likely I can accomodate you especially if your dog is getting groomed for pickup.

We have Coco and Ellie here. They are having a total blast.

The puppies are having a great amount of fun. Ollie looks for Petey and Ellie looks for Coco. It does the heart good.

Everyone and I mean everyone is having a blast!
