Warm Day

I had a wonderful day off. Let's see, I went to the dollar store and got tootsie roll pops, peanut butter cups and dark chocolate mints. It was a junk candy day. I also made it in the pool and Neo seemed like she wanted to. I also sat out with anyone who wanted to sit with me. Neo is always there during the day and at bedtime. She cries if I am gone. I think she attached herself to me as she is so attached to her human mom. She really seems to enjoy herself and is eating well. 

I did get into the pool and my new suit fits. It is much smaller than last years. LOL I guess exercise pays off. 

Pingo - well Pingo is an absolute play monkey. He is like Rain and Hope who I bathed 2 days ago and with hours looked like they never have been combed. Pingo seems to have the same method of playing. Pippin seems to be full of himself. I swear he giggles when he plays. It is a riot. I could go on with each but everyone is having a grand time!

I found a woman that had small canna lillies that I am going to plant tonight. I tried to find another plumeria but no go so far. This woman was wonderful to deal with. The plants were small but the price was right. She was local and ever met someone that has the best smile? That was her. I need to plant them now. I wonder if the dogs will help me. I will buy from her again.

We are going to sit outside after I finish the blog and enjoy this glorious weather. I hope you are too.

Day of Grooming

I have not exercised today nor gone into the pool. Nathan has been. I just have been grooming.

Tomatoes and strawberries are already producing. 

Rusty, Luna and Tuppy are or soon will be departing. Thank you Rusty and Luna's parent for bringing Nathan and us Centre Street Deli for his birthday. I will exercise on a full stomach. LOL

Dogs are enjoying this weather. I wish I could be doing so but it makes me happy that Nathan can.

We have not seen the rabbits around but we are seeing chipmunks - not squirrels. It makes great fun for the dogs as they love to check them out.

It is June and warm weather is coming and we think our pool pump is dying - joy. Always something. 

Neo has decided I am her person. She sleeps spooned next to me and if I am grooming, she wants to be with me. 

Nathan's Day

Today is Nathan's birthday and he chose to hang out with the dogs. They loved it. I told him I will make up for it on Father's day. We did have liver and onions - his choice and the dogs went hmm what is that? We gave them a tiny bit of liver - no onions and they got to celebrate too. 

Got 2 more dogs to wash and some to brush out so this blog is short. 

Everyone is really getting along like they were invited to a party and they know each other.

No Rain But Cool

We are chilling as it is cool. Nathan swam by himself yesterday but today ot is simply too cold. 

We had dogs come and go. We are about to enjoy TV time. Even at TV time, some sit with each of us wherever. It is never forced. It is a choice of who they want to sit with. 

Nathan made steak to top the dog's food with. They went YUM - I know - I swear I heard it. LOL 

I had a ton of grooming today.

It is Nathan's birthday tomorrow so he gets an additional day off this week. That is how birthdays work here. 

Dog relationships have begun. New dogs attach themselves to our dogs or dogs that are already here. 

Brothers Rocco and Ozzie are excited to see each other. They haven't seen each other for a long time but they knew who each other was. It was delightful to watch!

Not Many Clicks Today

I vow to do better at clicking dogs tomorrow. We had a couple that came in late afternoon so not many clicks. Harlow is enjoying the sun. Neo has decided Cassie is her dog and I am her person. Neo is doing well.

Rain Yet Again

Oh come on - it is raining yet again. 

I do believe the dogs are mighty sick of all this water falling down outside but Dennis doesn't have to water the pots. That is okay with him.

Milo is adapting to life here while on holidays. He is enjoying his time with Dennis and he is starting to engage in play with the others. He doesn't appear to mind the wet weather. 

Dennis did the chase game today with the dogs and they loved it. He has this pile of balls and chew toys that I seem to clean daily and he has a blast throwing them here and there so they can retrieve them. It is a riot to watch.

Rain Rain Go Away

Getting mighty tired of the rain - I mean mighty tired. 

But the dogs had fun. We have dogs departing - dogs arriving. Dogs are still having fun. 

My day off is tomorrow. I may sleep in. I usually don't but would be fun to do so - I think. I can keep Jeannie with me as she likes to eat later in the morning. Still mulling it over.

Almost June

We have only had 2 days of swimming and none was very hot. Can we order some heat, please?

I had a long day of grooming and same with tomorrow so I am wanting to crawl on the couch and snuggle with dogs. 

It is Dennis day off so he is downstairs playing VR games. He didn't run with the dogs. They did sit with him while he played a card game on his computer. It is a game he can not have to focus on the computer so it all works. 

Our next door neighbour had a racoon on its roof. Oh boy - it can stay there not here. I guess it is the season. 

The dogs played a ton today. It was a dogfest!

Dogs had fun. I think I got food poisoning. I was so sick most of the night. I am better now.

Sunday News

This is a windspinner I made. Just having fun. It helps to decorate the garden.

We went to a seminar today at Whos Walking Who. Gillian is back involved so it was great to see her. Dogs came - dogs departed and more tomorrow. I have to get up and do 3 dogs starting at 730am so they are ready. 

When we were coming back from Ajax we noticed low funnel clouds but by the time we hit the DVP, they were gone. It is now bright and sunny outdoors.

Dennis was on a marathon of cleaning dog beds so for the last 2 days, I have done way too much laundry. He does this often. LOL

Getting tired of the rain. How about you?

Day Off

Camera is not working so we have to find the other. So no photos today. Dogs are having fun. Weather is not good.

Really More Rain

You may see the dogs getting muddy. I am doing the best I can getting mud out. Think they are growing tired of wetness. Us too!

We had a lot of activity indoors. Dogs played. We played running games and hide and seek. They had a ton of fun but think they enjoy sun and warmth. Well maybe I do but I suspect they do too!

Wet and Dirty

No gallery today. The dogs are getting muddy and wet. I almost want to give up it is so bad and it is supposed to be this way all week. 

Pippin has departed. Thanks you truly for Purdy's cherry cordials. I haven't had them in eons. So genuinely lucky to have them in our lives.

We went to get Starter Mousse as dogs like Harlow need the softness and the way she likes it makes it desirable. She doesn't do great with hard kibble these days. Warning, if you get some, cans have reduced half in size and are now up to 4.35 a can twice a day. It used to be just months ago 3.00 a can and twice the size. Raising prices have begun. Getting crazy. We are down to our last bag of kibble so we will see what has happened with prices. If this keeps going, we may have to raise boarding fees. We are trying not to even though we are cheaper than everyone.

It is damp cold outside. Dennis is doing crazy games with the dogs inside as he totally believes they need fun - me too. We do this everytime the weather is bad. We work their minds and body. Nathan does his part snuggling at tv time.

Between Wetness

Inbetween rain the dogs went out. We had off and on rain all day and they say it will be like that all week.

We also had no internet but we have a backup so I managed to still get on. Our outage also made the news. LOL I suspect it was due to all Richmond Hill being out due to an update they did and Scotia Bank was completely down. 

Dogs still did runs in the hall and games. They have been very busy. They are now chilling watching tv in my office and in the tv room as well as hanging out all over Dennis. 

I have to laugh as one dog that isn't supposed to have a bath came in black so I am drying them out and going to attempt to blow the mud out of the coat. Lets hope I am successful. I have NO control if a dog rolls or doesn't. I can act like a crazy person to stop them but sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. 

Dogs Do Smile

As we are exposed to so many dogs, it is fun to see the ones that do smile widely. It makes your heart skip a beat.

We have much rain all week coming so today Nathan and the dogs are lounging. Dennis just got finished feeding and I am blogging - soon to do the dishes. 

We have sun out so outside is great at the moment. We all want summer. Will we ever really get it?

I think I recovered from nonstop activity with family being here. I feel old - lol. As much as I exercise nd get healthy, I was exhausted. 

We have a couple of bird baths in the backyard and the dogs were chasing the birds that landed. It is as if it is a game. The birds fly away. The dogs lounge and then it all begins again.

It is cool. The dogs don't seem to mind. Our pool is not busy. LOL We are recovering from a busy weekend. The busy-ness comes back tomorrow. The dogs are having fun indeed!

I am starting to groom tomorrow at 7am.Pickups all seem to be early and today is my day off.

Ms Pepper departed. She will be missed. Ollie and Petey arrived. So did Ms. Tia! Did I miss someone? Nathan was in charge so ... 

Cooling Down

I have to laugh. Leo drank a huge face of water and Pixie was eating her hair. They so make me laugh. It was a great visit with them. They have now departed.

Family has departed. They got up at 2am to drive back to North Carolina. It was great to see them. I gave a sticker maker to the grandkids as I do not use it that much but they just adored using it so it found a new home.

Now I need to groom a dog and then recover. I am tired after this weekend and I so wish it was warm. I have a sweatshirt on outdoors and still am cold. As a matter of fact I have a sweatshirt on indoors too. I so want a consistent week of heat. We shall see when that comes.

I have a friend doing supernatural with me. It is great to see she is using it and she is having fun. Fun is what it is about.

The dogs are chilling mostly indoors now. A plant was starting to turn brown due to cold and Dennis had to desire to bring the plants in so it is what it is.

Just too busy so I will add today's photos to tomorrow's gallery. With family in, it is a zoo here. LOL 

Dogs are enjoying. They have been playing. I did manage to get my exercise in but it was truncated. It is what it is. I could have swam but the girls didn't have their swimsuit - for shame.
