Ollie just departed and we already got a wonderful photo from his new family.

Meet Ollie

Click on Photo for Larger ViewOllie departs tomorrow evening. He just had his bath. Here is the gallery. He was trying to stand on my bathing machine. He was such a riot. Dennis took the photos while I bathed and held him. 

This guy will be missed. He is such an even keel fun guy. He didn't mind the bath or the blow dryer. Bravo little one!

Tomorrow check out family photos after 8pm. His family will arrive tomorrow at 6.

Latest Info

Pups have had 3 play sessions upstairs and in abour 15 minutes they will head back up to play till bed time at 10. Dennis likes to bring them out for 90 min to 2 hours and they sleep soundly all through the night till they hear us at 7am. 

The pups get fed now at 7am, noon and 430. Your schedule may vary. We have added toppers to their food but this crew eats it with or without. They are not picky in the least.

This is a truly fun crew as you will see on the videos.

Eating

When they eat, they all crowd around the dish to eat. They now eat 3 times a day. No food at night time. They eat approx 1/4 cup 3 times a day.

Hate to be a nag but we still have not heard from everyone on their choices. We need this done ASAP. We have paperwork, dates to set up for pick up etc. Please... We have some nagging me why I haven't told them which and others that have not told us. Got to hear from everyone no later than tomorrow, please and we also need a pickup date.

Mini Update

They had a blast today but due to the storm coming and having people over, I hardly did many photos or videos. If the storm occurs, I will have a lot of time unless I am shoveling.

They played with our visitors. Nathan had only planned to take out a few but our visitors said please more so all of them came out to play. It was a lot of fun to watch them and such a nice couple indeed!

Such Fun Play

I am running behind. I just ordered the treats for the bags that go home with you. So much to do. We will get it done.

Nathan and I was discussing and we kept getting confused on who was who and that embarrases us so when you send in your 3 choices in the order desired, please include your photo. Yes, I am serious. LOL

Stormy Fun

The Stormy One

As she is a sable she changes lighter, darker and will do so throught her life.

Stormy is a dog that LOVES to have fun just like her puppies, it seems. They see, to have taken on mom's personality. I guess they were born that way. I am here... 

She swims in snow and water. She is always ready to play. She is very loving.

Day Before 8 Week Visit

These pups are actually 8.5 weeks old. Tomorrow is their 8 week visit. They are actually ready to go home starting February 19th but usually we let them go over the weekend if it is close. That means the 16th and 17th. 

We will have to finalize puppies after the visit and set up pick up dates.

I did stop grooming to take photos and videos. It's hard to get any quantity out of the guys. LOL

It's been a crazy busy day. It's 930pm and I am still doing blogs. Oh my...

Vet Visit

Same place - new vet. Was strange but familar. All dogs did well. No crying, pooping or screaming except for the odd puppy who was not impressed with the microchip. You can probably figure out who in the gallery.

Most do scream in some sense not from the vaccination but from that awful microchip.

Videos will come later. It's been a heck of a day. But impressed with the pups - YES and they all hit the pads when they arrived home.

8 Week Baths Before Vets

Here is the bath gallery.

They were great. I started out washing 1, then 2 then 3 together. Then I did the other two. They had baths, toweled dry and into a crate to blow dry partially. When I finished all 5, I started in on the 1st and used one of the dryers to finish each up and then back to the crate.

Then when all was dry we did some photos, shaved belliews, pads, clipped nails and clipped around the bum a small slit to avoid stickages. This is their last group bath. They will get one more bath before they head home the day before. I will do everything I usually do but also round their feet and can clip around the eyes if you like that sort of thing just so you can see their eyes. Your call. This crew has long hair. I won't clean around the eyes except if you ask on pickup day. 

Tomorrow we go to the vets. Its a new vet at Northumberland that was trained by my retired vet. It used to be her practice. They still own the building. So, I am not sure if photos will be allowed. But I am hoping they are.

I hope this crew does well in the crate to the vets. Stay tuned to tomorrow when we will let you know.

Great Play Sessions

The Stormy crew really know how to have fun. If you watch the videos, you can see the run, the pounce and the play.

The Stormy is done feeding them but they still get creative on trying to sneak a drink. Stormy runs. they chase her and boy do they try. We will cut back Stormy's food to the normal amount and then she won't have milk. For some its not the milk but the experience - the closeness. By the time they depart it will not be - I must have some. 

Stormy Fun

This toy is a fun time for the pups but Ms. Stormy likes it too. She can drag it from one room to another where the pups can only drag it across the floor.

The pups have a blast running and playing. Each day for 3 or 4 times they are out playing their hearts out. It's wonderful.

Come Tuesday they will have baths. This time I will not be doing individual photos. Just can't. I will instead wash 2 or 3 at once and dry them in the crate with a dryer over them. I will take photos of the process. By the time the 10 are done, I will start finishing drying the 1st one washed and keep on going. 

Then on Wednesday they head to the vet. On Saturday they have their 8 week visit. Two weeks later they will be starting to head home. How did that happen?

Amazing Fun

I get hugs from this crew. They, with ease get up on the slide either way, on the ramp and they do a grand version of run like hell.

Got to love watching this crew. They make you smile and smile!

Here is how my day starts.

I get up. I weigh all pups. I change bedding in each area. I get water and food for the Stormy and Raven crew. Dennis has the area all set up and he will sterilize upstairs when he gets up and sets it up again. 

I comb out each mom. I set up the upstairs. each night it goes away and any blankets are washed or any itens that need to be. Then I do a play session with the Raven and Stormy crew. In among that I have a cup of coffee that makes it from here to there placed up so no one can get it. 

Then I fold laundry from the dryer after getting warmed up. Usually I warm it up before the play session. Nathan is with the adults. Dennis is in bed. 

I make sure all puppies are getting fed. Nathan does this inbetween when I am doing Raven and Stormy pups and grooming. 

That is just the start of the day. There is grooming to do. More play sessions, blogs and galleries and videos. 

Today I have a comb out of a visitor and 3 haircuts and baths. Not sure how I will fit it in. 

Short Blog Again

Sorry - I have a few videos I am uploading but its another no gallery day. I promise tomorrow will be normal - whatever normal is.

The pups have been out twice before I got up so Dennis took 2 videos but no photos. We are only human. 

The pups are amazing beings. They are so much fun. I can't believe in another week we have another family visit. In 5 days we have the vet visit. Oh boy. 

Every day is an adventure. Soon it will be easier.

We will have a larger blog tomorrow. It's not doable today. Pups had a blast out in the hall. They will get to go out a couple of more times but no one has energy to do videos and photos. Tomorrow...

The Stormy Crew

Oh they were so full of it today having a blast. They run up and down the halls. They slide under the bed and wrestle each other. It's such fun to watch.

They Love the Play

I can't wait till this crew gets to go out in the snow. We will wait till they are over 8 weeks and take them out on a day that is not too cold. We are in deep freeze at the moment till Friday.... sigh
