Water Water

Here is the gallery.

The gal likes to play in the water bowl. She soaks herself by paddling in the bowl. She was a wet rag earlier. I am trying to stop the behavior but she gleefully thinks it is fun.

Videos are already up. Yesterdays are up too thank you Youtube who wouldn't process them yesterday but did today. I am not sure why.  Nathan even managed to get me with the pups. It is rare that I am in a video as I am behind the camera. But despite my knee killing me, they are a welcomed distraction.

Simba, an older dog was playing with them today. This was a new dog to the pups. We try to keep adding someone new.

It rained. It didn't but they still managed to have fun.

Nathan is going to send out mail. We have an xray for Tempie on Friday but she could potentially have the pups when we have the 8 week visit so we have to have an alternative day - Saturday and if it doesn't work, Sunday. We may not need it but if we do not have it in place, we will. Murphy's law and all.

Today the gal didn't complain with the noose - 1st time but wasn't crazy about the air blowing on her but there is improvement. On July 20th the pups have their 8 week checkup where they get a complete physical, vaccines and microchip. That is 8 days from now - wow.

It's a Day

Here is the gallery.

It is my day off but I take the pups being all they can be seriously. That is why people wait and I wish no one had to wait. In these 10 weeks, if we see things to work on, we just do. They have had a LOT of exposure to chainsaws, lawnmowers, trimmers, planes, birds, dropping pans, barking - anything we can throw at them to see what their reaction is. It tells us what to condition them to. They are doing really really well.

Today I took the gal and boy and didn't bathe them. I sprayed them with grooming spray, combed them out and put a noose on each and blow dried. The gal was better than her bath day but she still needs to be conditioned to that blowing hair and something restrictive on her neck. I will do it daily for both till she no longer reacts. The boy could care less. But if I am doing the gal, I may as well do the boy. Getting used to things is important so you do it over and over till who cares. Besides combing and blow drying them daily will help them to handle the comb, the dryer, the spray, the water etc.

I do notice they are climbing on the blue ramp now and up and down the slide. They are also perfecting their running skills. They eat and drink well. We will take them in the pool again.

We are going to stop them eating during the night as they are sleeping now every time I check on them. Usually it is after 8 weeks when that occurs. They are ahead of the curve.

Videos will come in a bit.

I hope we get some interesting names for them.

6 Week Visit

Sorry - it is taking me so long to do this tonight as someone didn't want to be photographed so I had to look at every single photo and I will have to do that with the videos as well and this is highly time consuming.

Here is the gallery.

I believe I finished the gallery. The videos may have to wait - some today - some late as I am not sure how long that will take me but it won't be soon. I think on the 8 week visit, we will have to figure out a way to not add to my load and allow me to see how the pups are interacting with each family. We have 2 weeks to figure it out. Today was not a great solution for me. I do learn things on what pup is best suited to which family. Without the interaction viewed on one family, I will only be able to base who is best for whom by watching the family I am allowed to film. Maybe I can do a separate video and not upload it and only use it to understand the interaction? Let me know.

The boy was reserved this visit and usually he is much more outgoing than her. They change greatly in 2 weeks. His tail was up though. He was playing hugely for the night visit outdoors. He sleeps more than she does. We will see how that also changes.

I hope everyone enjoyed their visit. We moved the couch off to make room and we had to put it back. Usually we do not have this many people with just 2 pups. It was a full house. LOL

Videos other than the 6 week visit will be placed up first and the 6 week visit videos will be last as I need to watch each one completely and see if I need to edit. That may take me into 10pmish bedtime. Sorry.

Here is the early evening play after the 6 week visit.

It's already 8pm and I have videos to do after the main blog.-

Big Day: Swim and Baths

This is the boy swimming today. How did he do? He put part of his face under water and then I suppose he said that won't work and held it up, swam then swam back to Nathan. He was a strong swimmer.

She also put her head underwater and really didn't like that and she swam too but not as strong as he was. Still, she was pretty darn good.

Here is the swimming gallery.

They also played outside wet and dry - after swim and before swim.

Here is the outside playing gallery wet as a rag and dry - with and without older dogs. I will tell you they didn't mind being wet running outside in the least.

Now we get to the baths.

How was he with the bath? He was amazing. He didn't mind any part of it. I even put a noose around him so I could dry him. He could care less.  Here are his bath photos.

Here are her bath photos. How did she do? She was not crazy about it but did okay. I think she was a bit miffed at me but tolerated the blow drying. She did not like the noose. We will work on that. They both like water. She just has an opinion to state. LOL

After their bath they went for a nap and just woke up. After the pool they played their hearts out. The gallery is up above after the bath photos. We do not get videos of the baths. It's just too much but we did get video of the swimming. Videos are coming soon.

Tomorrow they meet their new families. How exciting is that?

Fun Outside

Here is the gallery. The pups are really fun and they gleefully play with the adults. We add a new adult every now and then and they go oooh a new playmate. These exposures are so good for them.

Videos coming soon.

Very few videos and photos today. We are getting down to the wire - baths tomorrow - visit Sunday.

They really like the tunnel now. Dennis had them in the hall while I was grooming. He did not take photos or videos - sorry. They used to now its up to just me.

Look for bath photos tomorrow. Momma Hallie also is getting a bath.
