Outdoor Fun But Too Hot

Here is the gallery.

Pups were out twice today. The 1st visit was early so not too much sun. The 2nd one they were uncomfortable and so were the adults I had in there with them. We only stayed out a bit.

Here are the videos.

I need to put the curtains out on the bottom gazebo to give the pups and adult shade. Usually I have them out by now. It takes time to hag them but the pups will appreciate it. So will the adult dogs and humans.

As you can see, the pups get along with the adults we have let in with them. What is wonderful is Hallie trusts. They learn from mom so this is a good interaction.

The pups are totally wonderful beings!

Canada Day Fun

Here is the gallery.

Aren't these 2 cuties adorable. For the 1st time Hallie became guarded for her pups. It was a visiting dog that tried to paw at the pup between the xpen. It wasn't serious but she put those pups behind her and gave a look. I said - it is okay, Hallie and she relaxed. It is obvious that she looks to me for validation.

We are slowly exposing the pups to the adults. I think Spirit and Rebel are their faves so far.

The videos will be uploaded shortly.

What do we have in store for them? Well, 6 week visit - pool swim - play with more adults. Car ride to vets and back and their checkups. They may see wee pups before they depart as we will have more pups coming. They will continually have new experiences on purpose. By doing so they become better pups.

Today they were out twice so far. It is about to rain so I doubt it will be a 3 time today but they also ran around my office exploring.

Exposures to an Adult

Sorry I am so late. I had 8 dogs to groom today and pups to get out and food to feed and cleanups on aisle 6. Not literally aisle 6 unless my house has aisles.

Here is the gallery.

Despite the insane day, I got to spend time with the pups several times today and they had 2 outdoor play sessions. One was with their mom and Spirit. We are slowly exposing them to the adults that I know will be gentle with them.

They do not like softened kibble - at least yet. It is early and we are almost out of starter mousse so Nathan has to head to Rens tomorrow to get some.

I bring the bag out now and the pups fast walk to the sherpa bag. It's a riot. As these are summer pups, we will be getting these 2 in the pool when they are old enough. That will be fun.

They are doing really well upstairs at night. I am impressed.

Videos coming soon.

5 Weeks Old

Here is the gallery.

This gal loves to snuggle with mom. They can now climb over her with ease. I will have to start putting the animal chairs out to see if they climb into those.

I almost didn't get them out for the 2nd time today but as soon as I stopped grooming, I took them upstairs tired or not.

I laid down on the floor and almost fell asleep and the boy gnawed on my nose and I was jolted to awakeness. hahaha They are teething like crazy so they are gnawing on everything.

They are doing really well at night without mom. They sleep for the most part. When we start in 3 play sessions in a day, the last one will be before bed so they expel energy before bedtime. This helps them sleep through the night.

They are smart pups. Already when I take the sherpa bag close to the xpen they know it is going out time.

I will be uploading the videos shortly.
