Growing Belly
Hallie is due approx March 1st 3 days either way. How many do you think she will have? Her xray visit is on Februrary 22nd - late morning.
The Duo is on a Journey
Here is the gallery of the time before departure and his new family. Here are the videos for both families.
It is a crazy process. It is a magical time as their caretakesr and teachers. You get to experience it all and then they go on their journey. Within 3 days they become totally bonded with their new family. They come to visit. They enjoy canine mom and us and then look forward to going back home. As long as they are loved, they are bonded and love their humans. It's a process.
We took down the xpen and just surrounded the couch. We changed their indoor xpen to Spirit's having to reset it up and sterilize it. For us it is a process too. Each are unique and deeply loved.
We have great families for these two.
This is Riley's new family. She had a large journey going home then off to Brighton to the cottage. This will be her 2nd car ride same as Brodie but hers much longer. Actually 3rd if you count home and then to the cottage. There is lots of conditioning for her going on. Always wonderful.
What can we say. We miss them already but we are happy for the new families and the adventure they have just begun.
I am going to miss updating this blog.
Remember to play with them before bedtime so they get tuckered out. It is what we did.
Riley and Brodie Last Bath and 24 Hours
Riley had her bath today and how did she do? It was as if I had a new dog in front of me. She was simply amazing. Guess that conditioning paid off. Sometimes you have to put in the effort to get to the greatness.
Brodie was his usual compliant self and was really enjoying teh blow dryers and all the cuddles getting him dry.
I can not believe they are departing tomorrow. They will be missed greatly. No other litter replaces a litter. Each is truly unique. I do believe they were one of the easiest crew. I think as there was only 2. They were easy to expose and loved the new experiences. I hope they embrace their new journey and come back to visit Hallie and us. We would love that!
