15 Days Old Tonight

Today's gallery

Pups are starting to interact more and be aware of their surroundings. The lone hold out in opening her eyes now has her eyes open. 16 days and all are now open. You will see the beginnings of being aware of their surroundings. Plus this photo reminds me that sometimes siblings are the best pillows next to mom at this age.

Eyes are blurry at this point but improve each day. By weeks end they will become even more active as they will see clear.

I place toys in their box now and soft blankets. They can now navigate and interact with them. they are already getting up on their legs and strengthening them. By this time next week they will most likely be out of their whelping box and we will start placing them in the pad each feeding and each time they wake up from their naps. They will stay awake longer and the play will become more sociable.

They are on their way to being the pups they are meant to be.

Adele is such a great mom. All the more impressive because this is her first litter.

It really is impressive how attentive Adele is. I think the Newton/Adele pairing was a wonderful move, such lovely pups.

Ohhhhh, they are getting so round and looks like all their ears are down now, too.

Cute pic of Adele peaking around the pen ... she looks very proud and happy.

Those pups are big eaters, noticeable in the first video. Adele is a great mom, very attentive to her pups. They are lovely to watch.

Yeah airplane ears disappearing. heh

Adele really is something else but so is Roxie.

These puppies are delicious. I could watch them all day. Adele is so good with them. They certainly are enjoying nursing and they do appear very active. Sweet, sweet, sweet.
