Ellie Update

Hi Darlah and Nathan,

Ellie had her final day of Puppy pre school today, she’s usually not one to brag, but she was the fastest at most of the final competitions 😊

She also has her 16 week vet visit today.

Everyone who meets Ellie loves her, she loves meeting new people and has made a few puppy friends. She’s a cuddly sweet dog, but also feisty and full of spunk.

She says hi to you and all of her puppy brothers and sisters

Happy Birthday to Canine Mom

Happy 4th Birthday to my amazing mom, Ella! 

Life is mostly great here in Grimsby.  I still do not love my grooming sessions but I put up with it for the treats.  I fell in the fish pond but my mom quickly scooped me out!  I'll never try that again, though it wasn't very deep.  School starts in a week; I think I am already pretty perfect though my parents are not crazy about my habit of nipping pant legs, it's just my idea of play!  Despite this, my parents are over the moon in love with me! 

Hope Darlah and Nathan give you extra hugs and treats today.

From Mommy Ella: Willow tries that pant nipping thing with the human mom here. When you are in class, have them show you how to stop the behavior. Wear boots till then. LOL Those teeth ouch hurt and this human knows. 

Ellie 12 Week Vet Visit

Hi

Just checking in. Ellie had her 12 week appointment today and it went very well. She was so good, wagged her tail and didn’t mind the check up or shots. 

Had her shots, and everything looked great. She has gained about a pound in a month and is about 3.9 pounds 

We celebrated with a bully stick :)

She’s a happy sweet puppy 😊Her new favourite spot to sleep at night is behind her mom’s pillow.

From Talemaker: Sky is now 4lb 10ounces and Ali is 6lb 14 oz. I think they eat so much as they attempt to steal everyone else's and succeed at times.

Dear Darlah and Nathan

Just a quick update on Emmy - We absolutely love her and she is settling in extremely nicely.  She's learning a lot - consistent with sit, stay, come here.  We are doing some leash training indoors and she's doing very well.  Potty training is very good.  2nd round of vaccines done on Saturday.  She's been out grocery shopping with us (in the Sherpa bag) and walking by the lake (in a carrier in front), and had no complaints at all, just sniffing and looking. She just has the loveliest little personality!  Affectionate and attentive, and playful. She loves running in the garden and rolling on the grass!  We will need to find some replacement active activities when winter arrives!

Ellie Update

Just another little update. Ellie has slept through the night every night:) she’s really playful and super cuddly. She loves her xpen and snoozing on the couch 😊

Ali and Sky

I should have called them Trouble and the Thinker. LOL Both have wonderful hearts. 

These two are already completely becoming bonded. It will be interesting to see how it all unfolds. We kept up the xpen but they are out a great deal with everyone else. We have not taken them to bed with us as one visitor is not a fan of the pups. After he departs we will take them to bed with us.

We play the chase game quite a bit. They love playing with the adults. 

I decided I will do updates as things happen. Tomorrow I will start posting some photos the families have sent.

I just finished grooming so short blog. Things quiet down in September. 

These 2 will be in class together. How fun will that be? 

Getting Freedom

Now that there is just the 2, they are busy saying hello to every one. When they get tired they are going back to their xpen. 

Here is a few photos of the 2.

We think they are going to sleep in the xpen at night for a few nights as we have an adult visiting that is not keen on the pups. We are thinking it through.

Ali is a wild child. Sky is more reserved but friendly. They will get very close. 

I think it will take a bit of time before the moms realize they are staying. 

They have had so many changes this past week.

Come tomorrow afternoon, it will be just the 2. they will be out with the older dogs more and more till their xpen comes down. We are playing it by need.

While I am bathing, I will get some of the videos up so be sure to check out their swimming fun too. 

Just the 3

It's different with 3. They are running around everywhere with all the adults. They are having a blast. 

As you know, Sky is remaining so we are trying to get her accustomed to all the activity and the adults. It's coming together quite fine. 

After Wally departs, I haven't figured out what I am going to do to update you on Sky and Ali.

Emmy's New Family

This gal is a doll. She is personality plus and cute as a button. I am so happy for all these pups and their new families. I have to say I feel like I am stuck in a funk and trying to get past it and it will come. I so enjoyed the 10. Special pups - special families...

Last night we had them running all around the yard. They had a blast. We will do it again tonight. 

Emmy's Last Bath

She is a little doll. She was amazing in the bath. She let me do everything without issue.

I have to say these 2 litters have mighty pretty faces - including the boys. I truly hate to see them go, Oh, I say well now Leti will have more room but really I am already missing the crazy play. When Joey goes today, it will be extra quiet as he is a mischievous soul. The crew will miss him.

Then we will have Emmy, Wally, Sky and Ali till tomorrow then down to 3 till Friday. After Friday I will start posting updates.

Did it feel to you that this went by too fast? I guess not for the new families but for me. 

Emmy will be the last Ella puppy to depart. Sky will be sticking around.

Desi's New Family

Desi is now on his new journey. Moms seem to be adjusting and I believe they will when they know they are both getting to keep one.

Desi, says who you clicking? Are we done yet? He was amazing in the bath. There is something about this dog from the moment he was born. He was the one who paved the way for the rest. He remains a character.

We Have a Name

Skylar of english origin means strength, love and beauty, eternal life, water giver.

We went with a non theme. I threw all your suggestions at nathan and then some and this is the one he decided on. Her call name will be Sky.

Talemaker's Kiss the Sky or as Nathan wants - Talemaker's Purple Haze. LOL

Out in Rain

Tomorrow the Ella sable and the last born Cinnamon boy is getting a bath before their departure on Friday.

Ask me if I am ready. I am not but feverishly trying to be. Nathan ordered the food bags you are getting and they will not be ready till Thursday. I have the shampoo and conditioner ready, the treats etc but I still need to print out some items. I guess I best get moving on it. They are going home with the flavour they are now eating. They have been eating a variety. 

On the 17th when the last departs we will be taking down the xpen and gaining more room. The 2 remaining will be sleeping with us and the moms. Their world will change just as it does when they go home to you. Leti's pups will be 11 days old by then. 

So many changes - so little time. 

2 Updates Today

Pups had a blast outside. When they are upstairs, they do chase games with the moms. I will have to get a video of it. It's a riot. 

As I type and upload videos, plus do the galleries, the pups are outside with Dennis playing. It has been a busy day but a fun day. Lynda came and visited with the pups. She asked me if I wanted to go shopping. I thought about it - would have loved to go but no time. I did really want to go.

The pups are incredibly playful this week. I need to finish getting ready for them to depart. Nathan doesn't even pick up the food till Thursday. That leaves me doing things last minute, of course. 

Thursday one Cinnamon puppy and one Ella puppy gets baths and photos.
