This boy of Ella's fascinates me. He is always curious. He wags his tail a mile of minute when he sees me. He loves snuggles.
The other 2 love me to snuggle with him but it must be that fast telling tail of the boy that makes me smile.

Thursday, February 21, 2019 at 5:36PM My math has been off and no one has noticed. Ella's pups turned 3 weeks 5 days old today and Cinnamon's 4 weeks old. I had it down as yesterday's Ellas was 3 weeks 5 days. I was wrong. They turned that old TODAY. I took out my trusty calendar and counted. I knew that Ella's was 5 days older than Saffron's and Cinnamon was 2 days older than Ella's. Now we are back on track on the right timing. 
The Saffron and Ella pups got soft bed caves. The Cinnamon's have a bed. The one Ella's has is a pineapple and they immediately took to it as did the Saffron's pups did to theirs. Let's say they are hits.
The Saffron, Ella and Cinnamon pups had their first adventure upstairs. Check out the videos. They did rather well out together.

Nothing like pups that love to snuggle. Something about the touch gives them comfort like it does us.
They are pretty good at this walking and they do love to watch the other pups. If they see feet walking by they fuss for me to join them. How cute. I wait till they are silent and then I do join them.
I have already started taking one out to the kitchen or tv room to see the dogs. I try to do a few (1 from each litter) a day. No one is shaking. they are just curious!

Ella's pups are mighty mobile and they can be found on opposite ends of the pen.
They seem to be in sync with the Cinnamon pups so merging them will be easy. As saffron's see, to already be attempting walking, playing etc we will probably be able to merge them all together. Time will tell.

The Ella pups are 3 weeks old now and we have removed blankets separating them from all the pens. Saffron's is the only one that remains in a whelping box and they may be out in a day or two.
The pups adjusted with ease. Cinnamon's pups were more curious on what was going on across from them. We added a puppy pad and we will start putting them on each time they wake up.

You notice they are sitting up and starting to be inquisitive. I really need to get them out of the whelping box. They are curious.
As we have had vuisitors over, we tend to hold a puppy in our hands to show them. They can't be touched at this stage but they get to see different people and see different rooms this way. It is good for their development.

What beauties... She looks like a little angel in sleep and you wonder what she is dreaming of.
They are starting to walk. They are playing with each other but they are also still sleeping a great deal which is normal at this age.

Ella is completely devoted. It's a riot to watch her.
They are starting to get up on their legs and push off. They are pretty good with this trying to walk business.

Pups had their nails done today. See the gallery.
Ella was so worried about the nails that she wouldn't leave the pups alone while Nathan was doing the nails. It was interesting.
It is interesting that all 3 litters are now attempting to walk.

Ella gazes at her puppies. It's interesting to catch her doing so. A mother's love is interesting. I wonder what she is thinking when she does.

Can you believe they are 2 weeks today? The time is just unfolding. heh
Moms were pretty good considering there were a lot of people here today.
I did have to go in to check on them and make sure everyone was feeding but I think they would have relished saying hi. It will be their turn in a month.

Hey human mom they are almost 2 weeks old - oh wow.
Ella is always so fascinated with her pups. I was playing a video I was uploading and she was mega confused trying to figure out where the crying was coming from.
She remains super attentive. she so loves the pups.

Ella's pups are now 11 days old. That means their eyes are probably going to open up soon. They all work on their own timetable.
Pup are doing well. They are plump and sometimes they match their blankets - sometimes not. I agree, the pink looks good with this crew!

I love when they have moments of closeness and then apart.
I can't believe they have reached the age of 10 days. How did that go by?
We switched the whelping boxes last night. Actually I did it all. When Cinnamon crew is out of their whelping box, we will switch it up again.
This crew always has 1 deciding to choose sleep vs. eating so we wake them up and put them on. This happens a great deal with litters then the one that decides not to eat is hungry before the next feeding.

Pups are now 9 weeks old and as you probably noticed, they have grown.
Today I need to take the Saffron whelping box and exchange it with Ellas. You see they are too fat now to fit under the rail. They get under and you can hardly get them out. Saffron's are still small so they can deal with the low height of the rails. That's on the to do list today.

Ella is still being picky over what she eats. If she wasn't feeding puppies, I would just say - you will eat next meals. Havanese do that at times. The more you indulge them the more picky they become. It is unfortunately true.
I have to say they do not mind the scale. Perhaps they will when they get to be a couple of days older. Think about it. They can smell. They can touch but they can't hear or see yet. Ears and eyes open at the same time. I can't wait till it happens for all 3 litters as it is when the fun begins.
