Up All Night

Misty Still nesting.

Poor thing - her and I up all night. We will have pups most likely this morning. We shall see. I have not had sleep since 7am yesterday. She has slept off and on but not much. She is now on the couch yelping. So, g

Finally Nesting

In her whelping box? Nah - on the couch of course. Looks like pups will most likely come today.

True Drop

I have dogs to groom tomorrow. Bet that is when she decides. Don't you know? Temps are a true drop so that says within 12 hours usually. She is sitting at 97.5. I have a dog to groom and will check it when I am done.

She is now at 98.0. No nesting yet. 

This is american thanksgiving. Will 2 little ones arrive before the day is over?

So Tired

I am not getting sleep and Misty continues to go up and down. I need to be functioning so maybe a nap is in call. We shall see if I get that privilege.

Up and Down

Temps are back down to the 98s but no other sign. I so need sleep!

Smarty Pants

Temps are back up to 99.5. Who knows what that means but no nesting.

I will tell you something funny but ever so true. When I say thermometer or temperature, Misty hides. So, I started to spell it and she figured it out. She's had enough. LOL

Temps Down

Half hour ago it was 98.4 so we will remain on watch.

They have not fallen low yet. I figure tomorrow or Tuesday. What do you think? Still at 100 just now at 930pm.

As of 1230 today her temps are 99.0. We shall see where this goes. We need to be down to low 98s. She is not eating her food.

Will Start

I will start taking temperatures today. We do have her whelping box setup but Dennis tells me he can't recline so we will sort that out. She is not due for a few days. We shall see how that goes. 

Will They Be?

How many will she have and will they all be black and white? Looks like only 2 so most likely that 1 breeding was when she was going out of heat. 

Xray Date

Misty and Sage have an xray date at the vets on November 17th. Our vet thinks she is due November 22nd-23rd. So about 4 days apart - just enough time to recover.

My Shave Down Gal

Misty got shaved down as someone - a visitor took a chunk out of her hair. It was either let it look ridiculous or shave down time as hair does grow. It will be easier to maintain her hair with pups. LOL I would have kept it as I am a glutton for punishment but its okay. 

Misty had a 21 minute tie that ended at 847pm on the 23rd. She has yet to be bred today but will. Yesterday she ran him all over the place making him work for it. 

Ollie's New Family

So hard to believe all the pups are on their forever journey now. Even for Kinsey - she is on a journey as well.

As you will see in the videos, Ollie and Kinsey slept all night just changing positions.

They had a full morning of in and out. You will see those photos in the main gallery on the main blog.

This has been an amazing journey for us. I am sure it will be for all the new families too.

What a great 11 pups - truly!

Kinsey will play with the olders and eventually Misty will realize she will remain. That will make her immensely happy.
