4 Weeks Old

Here is a small gallery.

I can't believe they are 4 weeks old today. They have started interacting with the older dogs. We have tried them on food but other than lick it, they are not interested yet. We will keep trying. They each take to it on their own timeline.

3 Weeks 6 Days

Oh Rebel was in checking out Misty's pups and she was saying - no - not old enough, Rebel. Rebel was so fascinated with them.

They are getting more and more mobile and playful.

3 Weeks 5 Days Old

Here is the gallery.

This crew really enjoys comfort. Give me a great big comfortable blanket and they are happy.The pups are attempting to keep up with the older crew and sometimes they manage and sometimes not. They are a full week younger and that is a lot at the age. Put them at 5 and 6 week and that vanishes. It is interesting to see.

3 Weeks 4 Days

We are pondering when we will put the pups together and when they will go upstairs. No rush, I suppose but been thinking about it. Certain situations say let's wait. They have room and not yet ready for prime time for this crew to be without mom at night. They are after all a full week younger.No harm if the older crew waits as we really want to do it together. All 7 pups get along well.

3 Weeks 3 Days

This duo is a full week younger than the Sage crew but they seem to be walking on the floor, playing and reaching for the challenge and most time making it. They have much to be proud of. 

They do go to sleep earlier from this play and they do sleep longer which is normal given their age but they attempt to keep up and do a decent job at it.

Before a blink of an eye in a couple of weeks the pups will see their humans to be. Can you imagine that?

3 Weeks 2 Days

Pups had their 3rd time out of the pen but upstairs vs the hall downstairs. They did well but they do not last long. They do like people. They do like petting and snuggles. That is so wonderful!

Another Day

Here is the gallery.

We had another hall play session. It is only once a day now at this stage and then we will increase it to twice then 3 or 4 times. We won't be doing outdoors till the last week or so. 

How did they do in the hall? Well not as good as yesterday but pretty good. As they get older they will go upstairs etc We will add more development toys and as the days and weeks go by, you will see how they progress. It is a fun process.

3 Weeks: Lots of Firsts

They had their 1st hall play with Sage's pups. Here is another gallery of the 2 litters playing together in the hall. It was a 1st.

This is them out of their whelping box so they can see the world. No more whelping box for them. 

Tempie is in here and she goes to check them out. Both moms do not mind. Tempie is in heat so I took her in here so the rest could have more room. 

I call today a success. So many changes and everyone got along. I even have the gal here and the 1st born gal of Sage playing on video. Check the videos out here.

1 Day Shy of 3 Weeks

In a day or 2 I am going to try them without the whelping box. They need to get visual with their surroundings.

2 Weeks 5 Days Old

The ever attentive mom - always making sure they are okay.

She dotes on them and sleeps with them all night. They are the treasured ones. :-)

2 Weeks 4 Days Old

They are starting to be curious and move around. Misty dotes on them hugely. I can't see her pups without her being right there. Weighing and changing blankets are interesting but that is canine mom love!

Sacked out in comfort. Short blog tonight - very sorry. Lots on my plate.

They do recognize me each time I hold and weight and comfort.

2 Weeks 2 Days Old

The duo is gaining - still sleeping a significant time. Mommy still licks my face like crazy whenever I try to take videos.

First photos must be done when mom is out of the room as she dive bombs the camera. Got to love Misty! She is such an attentive mom!

2 Weeks 1 Day Old

Over 2 weeks old now. Eat, sleep and we even had an undercover moment in the wee hours. Check it out in the videos.

2 Weeks Old

I can't believe they are 2 weeks already. Soon they will be like Sage's, walking and playing. It all happens so slow at times and so fast with others. It all depends on your perspective.

At this stage they do interact but minutely but mostly they eat and sleep. This is how they grow.
