Maybe

We may have it figured out but then again who knows but if not, we are closer. I have hated this experience. I will hate feeling rushed. Have a puppy that is supposed to depart tomorrow but I do not have the pups officially assigned, the pertinent info I must have, the puppy bathes and photos and all the things I have to do to get ready. Nathan is napping so its already after 2 - I am blogging it and will I have time? Stay tuned. 

Okay Update on Selection

We had hoped to have this finished by this morning but some people are insisting on their #1 choice (several actually) and 1 particular dog can't go to many families. It seems many also have the same 3 picks. This is beside the point that in some cases it is not a good pick. One insisted and only gave us 1 choice and said either this or we will wait. 

These are all sensational dogs. You have no clue but really they truly are! We are even offering our own personal top picks and still no go - well one person got it. 

This has been the most miserable, stress filled selection we have ever done and I am supposed to have a puppy to go home on the 6th. I have never been this late and that adds to the stress. I am not even sure I can be ready for that as I have paperwork that actually takes time and a bag of things I create such as a blanket, tag, tote bag etc. I have to uniquely design them and must have the names and photos to do so.

I want to say all that are being difficult wait till next litter as I know for a fact those on our waiting on our list would be overjoyed but we are still trying. We may reach that point. Hope not as that is my last choice but may be the only one that gives us resolution. We shall see.

The items I make may have to be picked up later. I really do not know how super human I am. Certainly not enough. I am and will keep trying.

So, here we sit still not finding solutions despite how hard we are trying. 

I believe the larger the group, the more difficult it is to appease and really because of this I should offer the dog that is not the right fit? 

Sorry, I am venting. I need a stiff drink or 2 or 3 or 4. Nathan is taking a nap. I didn't get to take the pups out this morning due to this and grooming. I am going to take them outside in a bit but I needed to vent and I am eating Cherry Garcia ice cream to give myself comfort - Nathan is taking a nap as he needs a break. 

There it is - in all its glory. I never want to have 16 puppies again - ever ever. They are sensational due to the large number but the flipside is this and all the work that 16 brings.

Running the Halls

We are feverishly getting the pool ready for Sunday and Monday. On Friday the heat goes on no matter what Nathan says. I said what did you get for me for my birthday so heating the air is my present and you will be able to swim too. Our son may bring Dairy Queen for Mother's Day and he's tight on $$ so I said a chocolate dipped cone and Nathan then proceeded to tell him a banana split for him. I said Father's day you can have that. LOL I particularly said a cone as the split was more expensive. 

So, our goal or as I should say my goal is to get some of the pups swimming this weekend and no puppy pickups on the 14th till 4pm on. We shall see how it all unfolds. 

We have rain again so as you can see the pups are running the halls and loving it. They are getting fast too! They are no longer going after my socks. Bravo -

That Toy

We have this egg toy that distributes treats as they knock it around. The pups love it. This was their first experience with it and it wasn't working correctly at first as we had the settings wrong. So that was on the humans - Dennis and I. LOL Once we figured it out, the pups figured it out too and was mighty excited. The toy is a hit. It has 3 settings, hard, medium and easy. Each setting distributes the treats after x number of banging them around. 

I have to buy another. When I buy things, it's after I try and see if it works.

Nathan today picked up a partial order for the puppy bags. Not everything was in but wow the costs are high with 16 and I have to tell Nathan he didn't get enough treats. He is going to be shocked. He's forgetting 16. We still have tote bags (didn't have enough) luggage tags which are for the sherpa bags. We are waiting for 16 bags of food - Thursday they say. Poo bags - the best are coming Friday. Toys are in. Sample food is in. Some shampoo and grooming spray came in but not all. My room is filling up. I am so laughing. I have a feeling I am missing something. Oh boy...

Hail Rain and Outdoor Fun

Running in the rain under the gazebo. It was fun. We even had small hail hit the pups and they didn't blink an eye. They so enjoy the outdoors and can you blame them? Still upstairs play is in the cards.

I am so busy trying to get the supplies for the loot bags. Missing this or that - can't find this but know I ordered a few months ago. What's life without pups and a bit of chaos?
