5th Day

Here is the videos - already up.

The boy is indeed gaining faster than the gal. He so loves to eat. He's probably going to be one of those treat motivated boys.

Hallie is starting to get picky about food. She now goes outside every morning when we wake up. It's perfect as it allows me to change the bedding, take photos and video while she is out with the rest enjoying. She is only out a short bit but enough to allow the things to get done. She is super relaxed.

I do hold them a few times a day outside of the whelping box to get them used to and enjoying human touch. Hallie jumps up into the recliner curious on what I am doing but now that it's been 5 days of this experience, she jumps up, sniffs and says - you are okay.

Here is the gallery.

4 Days Old

Here is the gallery.

Pups are doing well. Both pups have a white streak on their chest and 2 back white feet. Can you tell who is the gal and who is the boy in the photo above? Yes, the boy has the white chin.

In one of the videos today, you can hear their voices.

Mom and pups are doing well. They want for nothing. lol

3 Days Old

Here is the gallery.

I decided instead of saying almost 3 days, we will just say 3 days as that is what they will be at birth time.

Pups are gaining well but the boy has finally stopped gaining so much. He seems to move all over so I am sure he is expelling energy. She moves too but not as much as he does.

Hallie is a dream mom quite literally. I was able to groom dogs, plant plants that got damaged from the storm and she was not anxious and is not needy in any way - all yesterday and I have grooms today. She does bark at the door when people come and she jumps up midstream to alert us and perhaps protect her pups from the unknown and then heads back to the pups after seeing.

I watch her on my ipad and Dennis is sleeping till afternoons now. That means Nathan gets his nap late.

Pups are beautiful. I am uploading the videos now.

2 Days Old: Photos Added to Gallery Plus New Videos

Hallie is a relaxed mom. Even though she protects her pups as she knows at this age they are vulnerable, she lets me take them on my lap and cuddle them. She seems proud to share them.

Here is the gallery.

I would never think of grooming at this age but today I have 2 to do - reduced from usual but I can watch them on my ipad and she seems to sleep when I am not fussing over her pups. I had not planned on this so I wasn't reducing my grooming and we still have no pool but Hallie is so great, I know I can take my ipad outside, watch her and swim, if the pool was working. By the 3rd week of June, they will be out regularly on the deck playing. When I am blogging, I have the screen display Hallie and what she is doing. Yes, we watch them closely but really they are doing so well that I had no issue with Dennis napping last night.

Dennis actually slept part of the night last night and both pups gained. The gal gained less than the boy. The boy actually gained a full ounce in the last 24 hours. He likes to eat.

Already the pups snuggle into you when holding. Usually they are not sure about the touches from humans at this age but they seem to be trusting souls and so is mom.

Videos going up shortly. Videos can be problematic. I have a new program. I seem to get feedback at times - which is irritating but I will learn it. I just didn't expect to learn it without any time. I like my old program which is no longer made so when the ipad was updated, it went but I still have it on my phone. It is all an adjustment. You will find the videos here. I am starting to upload them now at 825am.

This duo is gorgeous! I suspect they will be like Hallie - happy happy pups.

Almost a Full Day Old

Pups will be a full day old at 1ish and 222pm. They are gaining. They are active . Mom has plenty of milk. She has also now gone to do her duty after over 24 hours of not doing so so her system is working. Hooray. She is eating well too and is a doting mom. Hallie is a Nathan dog as in her heart skips a beat when she sees him and was found jumping into his lap today when I took her out to empty her system. Her tail was wagging and she was ever so happy and then ran back to the pups.

Here is the gallery.

The pups want for nothing so they are quiet. They love snuggling with mom. I did shave her belly so they had easier access and not through hair. We were not ready for this or this would have been done at xray time.

I did put up a couple of videos.

Thank you to Sherry for bringing food. Think I am fried from the lack of sleep. Hoping tomorrow I feel better.
