4 Weeks 2 Days Old

The Raven crew had their first taste of softened kibble. Some said okay. Some said this tastes different. They are all starting to drink from the water bowl. They can't go upstairs till they do.

Here is their gallery.

Dennis cleans the pens first thing in the morning before I get up. I clean them at night. Tomorrow morning before I get up, Dennis is going to take the middle section away so they are all in one pen. We will see how that goes. The goal is to get them to go upstairs without the moms at night (10pm to 7am) so we have to see how they do.

They can stay segregated at first or integrate. We won't know which till that middle barrier comes down. It also means we need to get the right pups on the right mom for feeding.

That also means when the pen gets cleaned all 10 will be out running around. We do all this for a reason and we do it in stages. We do not believe in flooding the pups. We want to create a transition so they build their coping skills. This will bode them well throughout their lives.

Changes are coming... great changes to help them to eventually make their forever journey.

Be sure to check out the videos.

Jealous of all the kisses Nathan got today from the crew of 10 upstairs! They are so adorable and lively (until they run out of steam)

I know - I get them when I lay down. I just don't video myself doing so. the kisses are wonderful but the hugs from Stormy boys - the best! Ravens not hugging me yet.
