Over a Full Day Old

Here is the gallery.

This was Hallie 1st thing this morning before combing her out. I did comb her out today already. Usually moms have discharge for a week or 2 after delivery but she looks like it is minimal for her so no dirty blankets. That makes it easier for me so far.

All pups have gained. One minimal. Not a concern as they usually lose and the one minimal is the last born. He may also be a small one moving forward. Too early to know. I have had litters lose across the board waiting for milk for 2 days. Then they start gaining. It is only problematic if they are tiny - which none are. They fed well in womb. They are feeding and latching on now since birth really well and their tummies are getting full as they sleep between feedings. When they try to feed constant, they expel energy making them lose. This crew is doing REALLY well and are lively and do find mom for the most part.

Since birth and in order of delivery

Boy 1 gained 6/8oz 20g

Girl one gained 5/8oz 16g

Boy 3 gained 7/8oz 25g

Boy 4 gained 1-1/8oz 33g

Boy 5 gained 6/8oz 21g

Boy 6 gained 5/8oz 23g

Boy 7 gained 2/8oz 7g

Hallie is so happy and proud. I guess 2 her other litter and now 7 is magical for her as she glows. She smiles widely and wants to show them off. Look mom - look dad - I have 7.

I did place up new videos and will do a couple of more today. Hallie is eating really well and no issues with bowels which is usually the norm. Her body has handled this well.
