8 Days Old

Spirit remains doting but she also is highly attentive to Sage's pups. LOL They seem to not be concerned about each other looking at their respective pups. But I can tell, Spirit is wondering do I get the attention I was getting? It's the sibling syndrome. LOL Although not siblings, they are family (packmates)

They will find their way with each other.These 2 are quite fond of each other.

This puppy is growing - not as much last night but enough as Spirit was too busy being nosey. No worries as this is normal - curiosity and all.

As I type both moms are sleeping.

I did upload videos and will continue to do so.

6 Full Days Old

Here is the gallery.

She is active. She is now gaining approx an ounce a day. Spirit is difficult to get to eat. Breakfast sausages - no, steak, no, fresh cooked turkey no and on and on. But she's not getting skinny and she only has one so maybe it is me thinking eat, eat, eat.

Videos are being uploaded as I get to them.

Edging Up to a Week

The pup who I find fascinating is now 5 days old. I can't wait till the eyes are open but she is all over the pen. She doesn't need eyes open except to see where she is going. LOL

She is gaining close or at an ounce in a 24 hour period, as of late. She is held many times a day to get her used to touch and of course she is weighed twice a day.

4 Full Days Old

She has this dance with her mom. It is hard to explain but she curls into her, up against her and mom gives her kisses and enjoys the experience. Moms are special - I tell you and we are lucky to have good moms.

She now weighs 9-3/8oz 258g. The last 24 hours she gained 1-1/8oz This is more than usual at this stage but not totally out of whack.
