1 day shy of 3 weeks. Can you believe it?
I can't wait till she can go in with the others as it will all be new to her where the others will be used to having siblings. She's active. She plays with mom or herself.
It's hard to compare the litters as this one is a week older but in a week you will see similar with the other 2 litters. I find this photo funny as she has 1 ear up and one ear down. They start out with their ears up at birth and eventually they flap down. She is midstream in this process.
If you look in the videos, you will see she is starting to truly play. At this stage you would think the younger set will always be behind but actually not true. Puppies aspire to compete, do the same thing as the rest and they will play catch-up. They always do with 7-10 days apart.
Momma Spirit is ever so attentive and she has started playing with her as well.
She is getting up on her legs but momma keeps indulging her and going to her.
She is super relaxed with humans. She melts in you when you stroke her. That brings a smile to my face.
I am working on the videos now.
By Friday she will be 3 weeks old and we will take her out of teh whelping box so she can start getting active.
Mommy plays with her quite frequently but she needs the interaction too. So, I am hoping by another 11 days, we can merge all 3 together. We also play with her frequently, which is a bonus as she gets way comfie with humans.
She loves snuggling into mom and using her as a pillow.
Spirit has adjusted to only 1. It ought to be interesting when all are together. It's going to be a fun new world in another couple of weeks and I can't wait!
