Nail Cutting: 4 Weeks 3 Days

I can't wait till she is in with the others. For the 1st time today, Mommy left her to go outside and stayed out for say 15 minutes. She started crying for her. The issue with a singleton when all focus is on them. They are so attached so it will be good to get this one refocused on other things not just on Mommy.

She had her nails done. The other 2 litters need theirs done as well. Nathan will do them in the next couple of days.

We have wipe boxes in each pen in case we have an accident and I need to clean up fast. Well, this one jumps on the top of the box and jumps off to head for the pad vs. just walking straight to the pad. She's full of it!

4 Weeks and 2 Days

Each day I comb out the girls and each day they get to be a disaster. The way the pups tangle up the hair is quite unique and not something that happens when they get older. Due to feeding, they also lose a bunch of their hair and it takes till next heat t get it to come back in.

This particular puppy, I am not sure where she got her personality as Spirit is laid back and Truffie is too. How they produced such a mischevious dog, I am not sure.

It is obvious she wishes she had siblings to play with. Sure she plays with mom but she needs playmates. Soon - within a week.

She eats food well but get this - not as good as Cinnamon's crew. She uses the pad more times than not.

Spirit stands between you and her baby as if to protect her. Oh she doesn't mind the play but she's not crazy about you taking her out of the area to walk her around like Nathan does from time to time. Soon he will do that with the others - me too! Spirit doesn't want to leave her. It will be good to get them all together!

Wild and Fun

Spirit's pup had a session with me where she had me laughing and laughing. What a crazy dog. Be sure to check it out in the videos. I think she is full of jumping beans.

One more week and you will see the others in her upbeat mode or will we see some quiet ones? Don't get me wrong. She sleeps solidly but she sure likes to play. Mommytackles, human tackles and cleaning your ears and tickling you.

4 Weeks Old

Not many photos in the gallery today as Spirit spent a lot of time blocking her in the crate.

Tomorrow we will try food. She is 4 weeks and able to try and she is pretty sure footed. She is funny with her mom. she destroys any combout and she lunges at her mom landing on her back or head or wherever. She is engaging mom and playing. She even play bows now. Play bow is an invitation to another dog to play. She is learning from Spirit.

1 Day Shy of 4 Weeks

We have to start her on solid food in the next day or 2. She has slowed down in the weight gain department. That is a sign she needs more than Mother's milk.

One week is huge in the development stage at this age. She is now running, jumping all over mom and being a puppy ball of fun. There is one video of her playing with her mom that is a riot.
