No Photo Day

Spirit's gal will be staying with us. It had become obvious that this may have to be a possibility so we held out one. It all unfoldded as we suspected it would. Right up to this last week, we promoted her to have some independence from her mom but it did not pan out. They are like 2 peas in a pod. I have never seen such a tight bond. Other moms have had singletons and it all unfolds.

I truly had no plans to keep another even though she will make a good continuation of that line. With all that is going on, it would have been better to wait till her next litter. But sometimes things are just to be.

So, due to dragging our feet and attempting to get her into a position of being independent enough to be in another home - well she is no name. She is Nathan's type of dogs - a hellion on wheels. Will she calm down? Time will tell. But she will be the last one standing here and the other 2 moms correct her immensely.

I had a feeling this might happen. I look forward to watching her grow up.

Just a thought, maybe she will gain independence away from Spirit once she grows up a bit. maybe she needs a forced? independence, none harsh.
Was this attachment thing from the pup or Spirit?
Or she can stay with Nathan😉

We have actually attempted a facilitation of her being away from mom. Usually when they stop breast feeding, hormonal changes usually occur so they can start the process of letting go. The feeling of attachment is both ways, in this case. I am hopeful she will become less attached as she gets older. I really really didn't want to undertake a puppy, at this time. Nathan will not have the relationship with her no matter how much he hopes to as he will be too much in pain and she is a very active dog. So, it will be on me till he is well. Maybe it will keep him motivated to do all the rehab work he will have to do. Though his cardiologist says he can walk the dog a couple of weeks after surgery as she will not be a huge pulling dog. Teacher heeling will be on me. I will be training and giving her boundaries. Wrong timing for us but for Spirit maybe their special relationship will last. Time will tell.

I’m so happy she’s staying with her mum, what a perfect home they have with you.

I had a feeling you would keep her. ❤️

Spirit will be delighted. Looking forward to watching little baby no name grow up!

Do you have a naming theme for this line?

I love this little puppy and I am so happy we will be seeing her on a regular basis like Nami. Both will be wonderful. And yes I saw how Mom and pup played together even in the large group. It will be hard but I think it was inevitable. Spirit is such a great dog and a wonderful Mom. You can tell. She always came over to check on her.

Sherrie suggested Talemakers a Dog Gone Wilde - maybe I could call her Wild or Wilderbeast or Wildbestie - now that is a mouth full.

I too suspected this might happen and I'm happy for them. It will be interesting to watch her grow up.

What are the other names in this line?

December 1, 2020 | Unregistered CommenterShannon

I like Wilder for her! :) or maybe Brave? Forte? Vigour? Bean (as in Jumping Bean)? Courage? Heart? Rebel?

How fitting that spirit would have a spirited gal! ❤️

December 1, 2020 | Unregistered CommenterPippa & Bailey

Oh what about something like Talemaker's Live Wire and then call her Spark or Sparky?

Or Dynamite with the call name Dyna?

December 1, 2020 | Unregistered CommenterPippa & Bailey

You have such creative recommendations. Dyna or Bean are fun names

So exciting for momma Spirit! The little no name gal is so precious :)

Great news !
So happy for Spirit and her beautiful little girl :-)

Here some suggestions for her name if it's music related ...

Talemaker's Beautiful Crazy (by Luke Combs) Or Talemaker's Pretty Crazy
Pretty call name Bonita, Bonnie or Jolie
Beautiful call name Belle/Bella,
Crazy call name Wild,or Mad/Maddy/Maddie or Nutty, Dotty

And the name Maddy/Maddie (or Madge for Madonna) is also a good one for
Talemaker's Dog Gone Wild - related to Madonna's song Girl Gone Wild

I know this name choice is not music related but ...
My choice for her was "Bambi"

December 1, 2020 | Unregistered CommenterSusan & Mandy

I know Bambi is not a good choice for her spirit like her mom (It's was for her cute little face).

For the song related
Talemaker's Sweet Child O'Mine (by Guns N' Roses)
Call name Bambina/Bambi

Thanks Ronnie :)

I love the ones Susan came up with too!

Aww I think a name that means heart, soul, or hope would be lovely at this time. Quick google search led me to Libi which is both cute and apparently means “my heart” in Hebrew 💕

Leti for Lettice Rowbathom who is a quirky musician. Leti's mom was from Prague as was Leti.
