It's First Eats, First Kitchen Day

I just love this photo as this gal just laid herself down and ate away. You go girl!!

The puppies had their first time out in the kitchen. They had first taste of food. Food consisted of mousse which I called meat in the video and kibble (Fromms) softened, ground up, Esbilac and honey added. They will now have food in their pen at night. I am hoping Adele doesn't eat it all. Roxie's won't till I see how their bowels do as they are a tad young. We usually wait till over 4 weeks before introducing food. They will get theirs in the pen starting Friday if their bowels are okay.

You will see in the video  how they did getting exposed to Roxie's pups. The video is now uploaded. It's a long video as its the Adele pups first and then the Roxie pups joined in.

I am sweating up a storm - not up to this but we have to get this done if you are going to get your pups home on time. :-)

Be sure to check out the gallery of their visit on Roxie's page.

First day in the kitchen is fantastic. Such beautiful puppies!

Thanks, Simone. I was impressed. No bullies in the Adele crowd. Sometimes that happens with older and younger. Then you have to correct and guide them so they know that's not how you interact but they were fine with each other. They didn't even segregate which happens at times too. What was obvious is the Adele pups are sturdy on their legs on the flooring but the Rox pups still have a bit to go. 1 more week and they will be sailing around too.

So cute! I loved when Adele's sable boy gave kisses to Roxie's white ring/neck boy. So cute!! What was in the bowl that they were drinking, or licking, off Nathan's fingers?

The video was great. The puppies really got along so nicely and so did their Moms. I thought that Adele and Roxie would eat the pups's food but they didn't. So interesting to watch how Nathan introduced the food to them. They seemed to like the food in the small bowl a bit more than the mousse. Nathan was busy but calmly directing them all to eat. I really enjoyed watching.

The saucer bowl that they can stand around is fromms kibble softened up with hot water. Add esbilac formula to that and honey. They have a soup. The smaller dish was mousse. It's Royal Canin starter mousse. Before they go home they are usually eating Fromms kibble with a sprinkle of chicken or something in it. We give you a bag to go home with your pup. This is just a start.

I so enjoyed that video!!! The pups are amazing with each other so much fun. I see the little guys are still a sliding a little on the hard floor. Of course, I should have watched it along, or at least with the sound off ... poor Clarity

Yes Roxie pups are just shy of 4 weeks. If you remember it wasn't till between 4 and 5 weeks that the Adele pups got more sure footed. Same will happen with Roxies. But I did leave an open space as the littlest one with the white ring seems to be doing pretty good at it. Maybe the others will fall suit. They must be sure footed before we can merge the 2 together. So Roxies is on a plan of overdrive. Let's see if they can meet the challenge. I already took out the soup as the black and white one kept swimming in it. So they are left with just mousse for now.
