Roxie Boys 8+ Week Visit

I am rather sick so this will be short. The video is now up of the visit. You can find it here. I have no energy to edit it so you have the raw data. More fun that way, no? Been doing that anyways.

Here is the gallery.

We had gardeners loudly cutting things next door ruining our speaking at the visit and they stayed most of the day next door - argh. You will hear it on the video. Sorry, like I said raw data. Turn the volume down and you don't have to listen to it like we did.

My apologies for everyone that came and had to listen. It was actually good conditioning for the pups as it was loud. We also had the opportunity to say you don't coddle them when they have concerns as it validates their fear. You are best going on as if nothing crazy or loud is happening. They did recover from it relative;y quickly so they do have some good coping skills. Bravo little ones!

Visit went well despite the craziness. We also had Rosie show up during the visit.

I am running a roaring fever at this point so if I don't make sense, ignore me. Pups can go home from the 26th on. So soon... I know.

What a shame about the noise but, as you say, what a terrific conditioning experience. No wonder you are proud of them, they got used to it so quickly.

I still beeline it to any construction work or roofing, etc, when we are out on our walks. All the exposure they can get is the way to go for sure.

Get well Darlah, I could hear that virus in your voice, arghhh!

🤗 Hugs

You sound so ill!
It was amazing how completely relaxes Roxie was.

I was irritated at the visit but when I laid out in the pool to try to soak this crud out of me, I got more irritated. I not only had fumes I was breathing in, I also had that lovely non stop noise. I finally came in and climbed on the couch.

I feel bad for Dennis as he is cleaning up at night by himself. He cleans up the pen, we do all the water dishes, clean up the pads under the dishes, laundry and I usually roll into bed at 11ish where Nathan rolls in at 10. Soon no pups and bedtime at 10 again. Still, I will miss them.

I am on meds. I was really bad early this afternoon but finally Nathan went and got some meds and I am able to type.I needed something to break up the mucous in a big way. Now my chest is not hurting and I am breathing and sweating but maybe that's a good sign. Tomorrow is a new day!

So sorry you are so sick, Darlah. Sounds like you really have it bad. I hope you are able to get some rest.
