Training Raven

Well, we found a different collar for Raven. Well, I did. It seems the clanging up against her with her name tag bothered her. So, I put another collar without any such things and that felt better.

Today she started out - really do I have to heel for these treats - really? Soon she got into the groove. Today she had mini pieces of steak. Yum. I will work for that!

We will have a session tonight. We only do 5 minute sessions.

Oh and she sits, does beside me and look at me with ease. It's just this heeling business. Do I really need to do THAT!

Human Daddy took Stormy up for a nap. Is he playing faves?

Great progress! Raven is a very charming and sweet puppy girl. Very smart, too!

Hehe sounds like fun....Marco and I heel in the morning around the house...he works for his kibble! Don't tell him about the steak! We have school this afternoon, that means treats....he'll be thrilled LOL.

Patricia: I think he's like Stormy - a food hound. Raven is not but I have found it's all about what the treats are. She likes gourmet. That she will work for.

Raven sounds so much like Patches, Patches never liked healing and still doesn't. She wants to look around and see what's going on, who needs to walk? lol

We start classes again along with you Darlah, Radar starts Intermediate Practical Living tomorrow. He and I will have fun.

Raven loves heeling at the moment. She bounces along and I can stand up now vs trying to guide her with a treat. That was the point. She has made progress in days. Just a 5 minute session each day and what a change. Not food motivated for dog treats but give her human food - oh my. She even likes strawberries and blueberries but not practical to take to class.

She does tend to sit too much which is an issue for a show dog but not a pet.

But down - no - it will be a challenge.

What I find funny is Jeannie is a HUGE food treat - bring it on dog.

I wonder if you give Patches human food if she would suddenly be motivated.

Congrats for continuing classes. I am sure it will be fun.

We may be trying a scenting class with Inula and Mike with Brewer.

Wow, scenting class! I intend to keep taking them to classes on and off to keep them motivated and their minds busy.

Great about Raven, sounds like she loves training. Good for you Angela for continuing training. I started another round of training with Cooper on Wednesday. I'm also looking at a scenting class next. Could be a lot of fun.
