First Point
Jeannie got Best Puppy and Best of Winners so she got her first point over 1 class dog that showed up. The rest did not. It's raining and mucky so another bath tonight and a 5am departure - yikes. Shoot me now. Bravo Jeannie for showing so well!

She is an absolute beaut, well done to all involved.
She has a lovely coat, what shampoo and conditioner did you use?
Well Done Jeannie and Nathan! She is too adorable. I'm sure she will have her championship soon.
Susiee: I am still trying stuff out on her coat. She has a very dense, heavy coat so she needs minimal conditioner and very water downed grooming spray. She has a natural shine no matter what you use in it and a thick cuticle. Love her hair but its different than what I am used to - Treasure thew similar - more silky but Jeannie's is thick. So, I am still in the hunt for the best combo for her hair. Hers has to be very minimal conditioner. Each show day something new. Tonight I will try just a dab of conditioner - a light version or maybe just a rinse. We shall see.
Audrey: Thank you!! Standing out in the rain at least was good for something. Tomorrow we get to get up at 5am. Shoot me.
Congratulations Jeannie!
How many points do you need for a championship (or whatever it is called)?
Congrats Jeannie, Nathan and Darlah for making her look her best at every competition! I'm not surprised at all!
Who wouldn't judge her 1st! Ooooh that beautiful face!
Shannon you need 10 points. :-) Thanks all! Got to wash her again tonight. <sigh> By the time this is done she will be saying to me don't ever wash me again. So far she is still a good girl about it. It's me that is saying again?
Congratulations all! How proud you must be. Jeannie's colouring is coming in much like her Mother's, I think.
Congratulations to all two legged & 4 legged beings involved in this arduous task.
Good thing Jeannie has such a good temperament. Was it rainy & ugly at the show ?
Yes, rain and more of it tomorrow. Val told me what to wash her with to make it light, airy and not heavy if it pours on her. As I haven't had the experience with pour downs, I listened. Val is at the show with Nathan. She wasn't at the last and won't be at the Tillsonburg one but Tillsonburg is indoors so if she looks awful in pouring rain, I blame Val. ROFL Jeannie is being so tolerant of this washing. Me, not so much. Nathan moans and groans how tired he is and I look at him and say at least you are sitting watching tv while I wash. Men.... Up at 5am tomorrow gad help me. All these shows and then a picnic I may or may not be able to attend (Yes its on) and then Spice.
Yes, Jeannie looks a lot like Go Go just smaller. :-)
Have you heard of MD10?
MD 10? Have no idea what you are saying. <smile> Is that a shampoo/conditioner? I actually used a clarifier on her with a very light shampoo and conditioner. Can't use clarifier daily. It strips the oils but Clean start doesn;'t so much and that is what I used. Some clarifiers rob the hair of all oil. We shall see how tomorrow's wash goes. I am usually good at figuring out what I need. Val told me to do opposite of what I did with Kat. So I emptied my cabinets and said ah a little of this - a little of that and lets see what we have. hahaha Issue is the humidity. It weighs the coats down and they are outside all day. Nathan is still at the show waiting to go in the ring one last time.
Darlah: try this url, it is one of several I have found http://www.md10.eu/
I found it in Europe, really good and only need a very small amount and they do different types for different coats. Some Havanese at shows have been using it and their coats are lovely seems to do wonders for them. Developed by a Spanish guy with Yorkshire Terriers.
PS
Can't wait to hear how the beauty got on.
She got Best Puppy in Group - 3 points off the other dogs.
Will look into the MD but if you have to import may be too pricey especially just to try.
