1 day shy of 3 weeks and they are starting to truly play. It's so cute. Can't wait till I can introduce them to the Adele Crew.
The walking is getting better. I will be trying them on food earlier than later so they can mesh with the Adele pups. This journey is going to be fun!

Check out the gallery. Not quite 3 weeks but they are out of their whelping box about the same times as Adele's was. How are they adjusting - better than Jeannie was initially. You see we brought in Leti so before she had pups the moms would get used to them being in here. Adele - no issue. Jeannie surrounded her body around her 2 pups and just looked at Leti. She was protecting her babies and that's okay. They are younger.
But now that I am typing an hour later, Leti is relaxed sleeping and Jeannie and Adele are accepting of her especially after Jeannie smelled her and could see she was having puppies.
You will start seeing more changes as the days go by as the pups will now be able to see outside of their pen. It's the next stage to conditioning.
Still having a tough time with videos but i am still uploading and they are arriving when they are done. Be sure to check them out.
I am trying to get blogs done as I can due to company and it will be way too busy tonight to do so.

We are still having a very tough time getting videos up but I keep trying and will continue to get all up as my upload speed will allow.
We are going to try to get the pups out of the whelping box this weekend. With company, we may be delayed but we also have to set up another pen so out goes the recliner etc That was short lived.
The pups are amazing. I tell you they just melt in your arms. They loook forward to me holding them. Talk about making you feel good.

This crew is 8 days behind the Adele crew but they will have the advantage. At the 4 and 5 week stage I will attempt to put them together a little each day extending the time. The younger ones ALWAYS learn from the older ones. They accelerate their progress being exposed to others that are a tad older. Most we have ever done this with is 10 days and I find the closer they are to 1 week, the easier it is to mesh the 2 litters. We do this for socialization. They become better pups for the exposures and experiences.
Right now the tri is fat, fat, fat. She's a riot. She loves to eat. The brown gal eats less but is a great size.
At times they do get up on their legs to try to walk. I am amazed. Soon they will be out of their whelping box. I find it an important stage as they can see out. They have more room to practice and the changes and growth occur. This duo LOVES to be held and snuggled.

Oh the tri gal loves to eat and eat. She is so rolly polly but she will lose that when they start walking. They grow and slim down. It just happens.
This was the first time Nathan saw their eyes open. They gave him kisses and enjoyed seeing him.

We now have 8 week puppy vet visits. We had to do that now as it is over the holiday season. Adele's will go on the 22nd and Jeannies will go on the 29th of December. Nathan will also be sending out 6 week visit date soon. As Jeannies is only a week apart we may be doing 5 week old Jeannie and 6 week old Adele pups together. We are figuring it out but it is bound to be fun, fun, fun.

Pups are both well over 1 pound now. they are fat, plump and satisfied. Jeannie dotes on them and they want for nothing . heh
The gallery finally made it. You can see the videos though. They are uploading slow but as I was doing it all day long, I have enough videos up that you won't feel deprived.
Do so enjoy holding these gals. They melt in my arms.

This gal is changing daily. She has so much colour bleeding through.
I checked the weight charts of Adele pups at the 2 week mark and these 2 girls are very similar in weight. I do believe at the 4 and 5 week mark we will be able to have them in together. Now that will be fun.
They seem to find mom really well. They make noises to let mom know its time to feed. they are easy going pups.

Can you believe that tomorrow they will be 2 weeks old. They do try to get up on their legs. They manage to find mom well making it easier for Dennis to get some naps at night now.
In a couple of days their eyes will be clear - no blurriness. Toys will get added and we will decide if they too will get out of their whelping box but really there is just 2 of them.

The gals are now 12 days old and their eyes are open. It was so exciting. I had Dennis take photos so you didn't miss it.
The fun will soon begin.
Pups are gaining well. They are interacting with me. You will see in a couple of the videos. Wow its amazing! I never grow tired of those milestones. It is me they saw first too. :-)

The pups are now 11 days old. They are now both over a pound. They are eating well. Jeannie was a little too full the other day so Dennis put an Adele pup on her and it fixed it. It's nice to have an extra mom especially those that do not mind sharing the pups.
They seem to be very strong and move all over the whelping box including trying to get up on their legs. Bravo little ones.
Jeannie dotes on them. Can you blame her?
