Cara is wishing her sister Willow a happy 1st birthday!
It was a long night as we had back to back classes but it was fun and it was great conditioning. Check out the gallery.
Willow is enjoying class but her focus is on Daddy. Next week we go to her class at 6pm (leave at 5) and then hang around for the Recall class. I will be dead. Sherry will be dead but it will also be fun! We do 4 weeks of back to back classes. Then we get to take Spirit.
I know this is not a standing class but I can't help myself.
Here is the gallery and 3 videos are included in the gallery.
Oh boy it was FUN!!!
Willow has not been anywhere nor had she had a lead on till today. We decided to take her to a drop in class at Whos walking Who in Ajax where puppies of all breeds were attending including the havanese Panda that was just here.Panda was sitting by the side last drop in class till she came to play here and suddenly she was a huge play monkey at this session.
Willow wasn't quite sure. She didn't drool, or have loose bowels nor shake. She just was not sure so for less than 5 minutes she sat under the chair and watched. Dogs came up to say hello. Some rambunctious, some not. Gillian reminded me to stand up and mill about and let her remain. So, we did. She was eating so her stress level wasn't high. She watched us say hello to other dogs and then she came out and she too milled around the room. She didn't engage in play. Instead she went from person to person to say hello. Then she sniffed this dog or that and then told the dobie puppy that was exuberant, no she didn't want him to jump on her. She growled under her breath and the dobie listened.
I call this a great successful outing and when they do it again we ought to get more havanese out to it. So when they announce another, we will announce it to you so you can sign up.
I now want to bring Kai, Willow and Spirit.
Here is the gallery with mostly Willow, a little of Panda and the other dogs.
We then went to Globals where she had a blast!
Hi Nathan and Darlah:
Cara is doing so well! She is not afraid of anything - has already mastered going up the stairs and aside from the odd accident she is great in going out for pees and poos. Her favorite activity is stealing all toys from Shadow and they love playing chase. Today I gave her a quick little bath - with all the mud etc - she was getting a little crusty in spots. Darlah ...she was awesome for the bath and I credit that all to you! Her first experiences with baths with you must have been such great experiences that she was at ease today. Now she is fluffy and beautiful. The shampoo and conditioner I love!
Thanks again - all going well!
Annette and Mike
Willow weighed in at 4lb 8.5 oz up from 2lb 14oz. She was great for her shots and she heads back on February 19th for her next appt.
She then visited Global. She got a treat from a stranger. She is already working on her scavenger list before she is in class. LOL
It is so important to expose, expose, expose so they can be all they can be. Look at the list here to get a start.
Willow had her first night in bed with us. She is adjusting to the adults. The barking sent her under the table when someone rang the bell but the next time it didn't. She is getting conditioned. She also wanted to hang out in her pen as that is her comfort zone so we allowed her to have play sessions and cuddles with the Leti pups and then she had her time with the older crew. I imagine in a few days she won't want to be in the pen but will still relish playing with the Leti pups upstairs and outside. She is also learning to deal with Kai who is in I am a puppy crazy mode. Kai starts classes this Thursday. We are figuring out when to put Willow in classes.
Here is a gallery of Cara (Before she left) and Willow Stylin.
All and all, Willow is doing wonderful but she can sneak through the gates. argh
She loves naps with Nathan and she did really well in bed sleeping all night.
Well Cara the drop and roll and have my belly rubbed gal departed. She heads to a home with a senior dog. This crew has learned to dumb down their play and not be so persistent. I hope she does the same with the senior.
Here is the gallery of the family.
She had a long trip so I hope she fared well.
Here is the gallery of the family and playing before she departed.
Willow is now attempting to merge with the older crew. She ate with them tonight. She took a nap with Nathan. Her life is changing.
I am still uploading videos. When they arrive they will be found here.
Oh my gad what is she trying to do to me? Actually she was delightful. Amazing in the bath but this look is priceless.
Here is the gallery from her bath
She cleans up rather nicely too.
She departs tomorrow. We will miss her. So many changes for Cara and for Willow tomorrow.
Just for the fun of it I am adding Willow's bath. She was delightful as well.
They sure do fluff up after the dryers are on them.
The duo has really done well with the younger Leti pups. This is on them and I am ever so impressed!
They tell me that comments are being worked on. You can always send me a comment and I can post it with your name until it is fixed. If you like send it to darlah@potechin.com
