Blog is Done For Now
As we no longer have Sage pups, this blog is closed. As we had Petey, Hope and Rain playing, I will update that blog with a few photos in a gallery.
Unfortunately starting in the New Year, our costs will go up. Please contact nathan for updated costs.
The picnic date took place on August 17, 2019 from 12pm to 5pm at Yvonne's place in Brighton. Check out the details here. Photos from the 2019 picnic can be found here. Yvonne's place is NEXT DOOR to her old place. I will try to put a havanese flag out front. Hope you can join us. Directions are here. The house # is 25. There is no picnic in 2020 due to COVID but hopefully in 2021. Stay Tuned!

It was bittersweet but we will get to see this one. As I type, Petey is visiting us overnight. Rain and Hope are having a blast with him. Nami is beside herself. Sage says not mine. <sigh>
Here is the gallery before Hazel departed.
Can't wait to hear how this unfolds with Socks. Socks is Hazel's new family member. We did one on ones with him before hazel went home.
Be sure to check out the videos and don't forget about the shorts.
This one departs tomorrow. She was good as gold about all of it and just sat on the table getting blow dried as if she was enjoying the moment. Bravo, little one.
This one departs tomorrow morning. She will be joing Socks. We can't wait to see how their relationship unfolds. Hazel will be coming to us soon as the family is off on holidays already planned. We can't wait to have them both visit. Going to be a fun puppy house.
Be sure to check out the videos and don't forget about the shorts.
Sorry, I got caught up with groomings before they depart. This family lives close so we will see both Ellie and Coco weekly for a playday. Rain kept wanting to jump in the bag to go with them. LOL
Here is the gallery of the play before depature.
It is VERY quiet here, at the moment. Rain and Hope will be happy to see Coco when she comes for play days.
Be sure to check out the videos and don't forget about the shorts.
Here are her last bath photos.
She was great for every part of it except when I started doing her face. She calmed down when she realized I was not going to get any water in her eyes. She wasn't bad. Just was aware that I was attempting to wash her face. The dryer - no issue.
Here is the gallery of their play and it includes some photos of Coco chasing Ellie her new sister around and of Ellie sniffing her.
There is more quiet play now that there are only a few of them. They still play. They still have fun but it is quieter. They are eating fully at times and others not. Changes do that but they will eat when they are hungry. We do not free feed. We do 3 meals a day. We pick up 10 minutes or so later if they eat or not and wait till the next meal. This helps with potty training too.
As I type, the pups are fast asleep. I am trying to get blogs done before I go out.
Be sure to check out the videos and don't forget about the shorts.
They had a total blast today. They are recovering from Pippin departed and are in full blown play mode.
Tomorrow I wash Coco as she will depart on the 1st. Then the next will go on the 2nd. Hope that used to be Hazel and Rain will remain. The one going home on the 2nd is HRH Hazel - Her Royal Highness Hazel. Have I confused you enough? Just know that 2 will remain from Nami - Rain and Hope. We will see how it all unfolds.
I will tell you we introduced Hazel to Socks who she is going to live with. You will see her in the gallery. She was a riot. She play bowed, ran, twirled and all but had a 20 minute entertainment session with Socks. I almost died laughing. We only did Socks and Hazel as it was a one on one session to get them acquainted. We actually had 2 play sessions but the 2nd one had me laughing my head off.
The pups will have another play session before bed.
I gave each puppy a duck treat strip and they were out of their mind happy to have one. I do not treat daily. We do it on occassion with the pups as I wait to see if they have a reaction to it as in loose stools. This usually corrects itself as their body gets used to novel items their body has not had before. At this stage they get frantic and over the top excited to have a treat.
Be sure to check out the videos and don't forget about the shorts.
The pups got to play downstairs as well. They didn't miss a beat. It doesn't matter where they are - they find their play.
We had them downstairs so they could play during Nathan's nap without waking him up. So, they are getting to explore the halls downstairs. They already had their play upstairs this morning with me. I have so far had 2 play sessions with them.
The next one doesn't depart until the 1st. So, on the 31st Coco will have her bath and photo op. This gives them a couple of days without changes.
Be sure to check out the videos and don't forget about the shorts.
Sorry I am so late but I had grooms to do after Pippin departed and then we had Petey, Nami's boy visit while I groomed Ollie. Call me selfish but I am missing this guy already so having Petey visit was a nice distraction.
This one had a long drive home and whimpered at first then settled in for the long drive.
Here is the gallery of the play before he departed.
They played rather nicely. They had fun.
Here is the gallery after Pippin departed and with Petey visiting. I was lucky as I got to do 2 play sessions today. Another reason why I am so late in updating. We bought pizza so I could eat while I blog.
Be sure to check out the videos and don't forget about the shorts.
I am so pleased they got Pippin.
Here are Pippin's bath photos.
He was good as gold and I sincerely mean that for all of it!
I can't believe he departs tomorrow. He was my 1st for everything. First to walk. First to climb out and yesterday he walked up the stairs to our bed and walked back down as if to say what were you expecting anything less?
This is his last full day. I so love his personality.
Before his bath they all got to play. Now they are napping.
Check out the gallery of them playing today.
They will come out a few more times but no photos and videos of those play sessions as we like to just play with them before one departs.
Be sure to check out the videos and don't forget about the shorts.
When Nathan comes in the door the pups go running to see who is there. It's a riot.
On Sunday Pippin departs. I will miss the character. We have heard from everyone that the pups are doing well. I am so happy for their journey but if I am totally honest, I downright miss them. When one comes for a visit, I get elated.
For instance next month Petey will visit for a bit of time. I am thoroughly excited.
Pups ared playing quieter if you happen to watch the videos. It is always interesting as the dynamics always change. It makes sense. From party mode to a gathering - it even makes a difference for us when we mingle with others.
Be sure to check out the videos and don't forget about the shorts.
