Caught at the End

I had a busy day so I only caught the tail end of a play session today. Dennis spent a lot of time with them where I had something else to do. I will fill you in on the main blog.

Here is their gallery.

I did get all the paperwork done. I am almost done the bags to go home with you.

Jeannie's first one to depart won't be till Friday. It's going to get mighty quiet around here come Sunday but then again I have a ton to catch up with, I suppose.

I am really attached to the litter of 2 motley crew of 8. They will be missed!

Be sure to check out the videos.

Snow Times Last Week

First pup goes home Friday and I do not have everyone's pertinent info. I can't start it till I also have the names. That means the later it is, the crazier I become trying to get it all done in too little time. So, please get that info in to me - PLEASE!

Pups had a blast outside. This boy is an inquisitive boy.  He was curious about this and that outside.

They really truly loved their snow day. Us too. But now I have nags and paperwork to do and can only go so far on that. Crossing fingers it comes in tonight. Tomorrow I have a big grooming day. Sigh....

Here are the videos today. Only a few...

Departures and Names

The pups had a great time chasing Nathan today. Check out the gallery.

Still waiting for names for the Jeannie pups but we do have the name Akemi  for the creamy gal. We will be revealing names as we know. The earlier I get them the less chance I will be scrambling. Scrambling is not fun.

By Sunday the puppy that has departed will be the last one to go. Oh my!

So, I have much work to do.

Sunday Nathan and I may go to a movie to get distracted. We shall see.

2 Updates Today

I think the Jeannie pups are co-conspirators and/or are just plain smart. This week Jeannie taught them a game and I consider this genius and yes she taught HER pups. She wants a toy out of their pen and they literally push it up against the railings. She barks at one of them when they happen to have a toy she desires and they bring it to her and she pulls it out between the bars. At first I thought it was a fluke or just one of her pups being extra nice with mom but over the last few days Dennis and I have caught the process in action. They will even do it with a treat. This morning I caught her with 3 treats on the outside of the pen and each treat was from her pups. I happen to have caught the last transfer and went no, Jeannie. You already had YOUR treat.

So who is smarter? Mom or pups?

It is the first litter that has ever done this. I have not seen Adele's pups do this with Jeannie and they don't do it with Adele but she doesn't ask for THEIR treats.

Just had to share as Dennis was completely surprised too. It all started out with Dennis going how did that toy get out of the pen? He sets up the pen daily so he knows what is in there. He actually thought at first till he saw it too that I was giving them their toys.

Here is today's gallery.

9 Week Visit

We had more people down behind Nathan. It was a full house. The pups for the first time was cautious not sure what the hey was going on but they soon opened up. It's the 1st time that has happened but this is also the first time we had so many humans in a confined space surrounding them. But this was good coping skills opening up after the exposure.

Here is the video.  To see more videos, click here.

Pups went to nap after everyone departed. I went to do baths and trims etc for those departing and those that came for grooming today.

I think I am ever so tired so if I don't make sense, well you know why.

We have not heard from everyone and need to before we can figure out the best fit for each of you.

They are now upstairs playing their hearts out with Dennis but I do not have the energy to do the blogs plus do videos and photos. So - more tomorrow.

Bath and More

I have to admit, I am a work in progress. You ask what does that mean? I started with the Jeannie pups and due to time constraints, I decided to do 4 at once. By Adele's 4 I gained more confidence and got more photos. Sorry about that.

I sort of still have a lot to do before people arrive tomorrow. I did get treat I ordered via Biopaw for the loot bags. The pups will like the treats I bought.

Here is a gallery before their baths.

We tuckered the crew out in hopes they would be compliant for their baths. I needed them to be tired if I was going to do 4 at once. They played with Tracy, Tenshi and Thyme. They ran around like crazy. I waited till they started to lay down and I then did Jeannie's 4 first.

How were they?

At first they were tired and a bit disoriented. What the hey are you doing and then they relaxed. I sprayed 4 with shampoo and conditioner then I rinsed them off and one by one I towel dried and placed them in a wired crate with a dryer blowing into it. After I had 8 in the crate, I took the 1st one out and dried under my other dryer and attempted to take photos. Nathan was at the store. Dennis was with the dogs and Tracy was working so it was just me juggling. hahahaha It all worked out.

Day After the Vets

None of the Jeannie crew showed signs of soreness. They played like crazy with Leo, Amy and Thyme off and on all day.

As I still have dogs to do, this blog will be short. Sorry.

Be sure to check out the videos.

At the Vets

Tri girl 3lb 10 oz

Creamy boy  3lb 1.5oz

Tri Boy 3lb 5.5oz

Creamy girl 3lb 1/2oz

Pups didn't cry all the way to the vet or back nor did they when they got their shots. No car sickness abd no crate accidents. They are all healthy and were curious about their surroundings.

Here is a gallery of them the vet.

Pups came home. They ate and drank and then headed upstairs to play.

8 Weeks 4 Days Old

Sarah is still home from school and found the time to play with the pups. It's great when she does. She so enjoys them and they enjoy her.

Here is the gallery.

Tomorrow updates will be late as we have a late vet appointment. For those that do not realize we drive an hour and 15 minutes each way. It's good car conditioning for the pups and we like how thorough our vet is but he's just back from holidays tonight so I expect him to be extra busy. It may mean we have to wait our turn and that can mean a later to update.

I have dogs to get ready to go home while we are away. That means a busy day tomorrow. Thursday I have a full grooming day and class with Thyme. Friday I have mom and puppy baths. Saturday we have all of you.

Then we figure out who is getting which pup and I start doing paperwork, getting bags ready with food and other things ready.

Busy times...
