Patty Cake

Patty cake Puppy style. They are funny at this stage. I am doing short blogs today. Need some down time. But here is today's gallery with JUST the Adele pups

We have a fun crew that loves to play upstairs. We want to take them outside but it is indeed too cold.

Here is a gallery with both litters playing together. Yes, they always play together in the halls and upstairs now.

The pups have learned patience. They now wait till it is time to go out to play. They (adele crew) used to cry in hopes that got them their own way. We always waited till they stopped and then we took them out.

So many things they learn the last 2 weeks.

Be sure to check out the videos.

Lazing Between Play

Every now and then you have to rest between playing.

Here is the gallery of 2 litters.

It was way too cold to play outdoors so we are busy playing upstairs and as you will see in the videos, running their heads off, pouncing, jumping and even being feisty.

I have a week to get everything ready for the pups to go home. Crazy times!

Be sure to check out the videos.

Too Cold For Outside

We are under a cold alert. It is supposed to feel like -30 tonight. So, we are spending time indoors with the pups.

Here is the gallery of both litters.

If you check out the videos you will see that the pups are really playing well together with the exception of 2 that think it's funny to bit the tails of Jeannie's pups. Oh they mostly play well but if they need to get the best, the tail grabbing goes into play. I am stopping it/

Here are the videos.

Another Snow Day Out

Yes, we went out again. They do not last long but this is good conditioning. I think we last all but 5 minutes and then they start lifting their paws and escaping into the sherpa bags and one can't blame them.

Here is the outside gallery of both litters. The indoor gallery will be found on Jeannie's blog.

They must think we are crazy but they do so look forward to the hallway play as it is warm indoors. Me too. hahahaha

Here is the video from outdoors.

It was a really full day of fun! They are now upstairs playing up a storm.

Brr Cold

We had the pups out in the snow and brr it was cold. See the gallery in the Jeannie blog. We also had Roxie playing with both crews upstairs just before she had her bath. See that gallery here.

You will also see the video of them outside here. Don't forget that there are other videos found here.

Roxie is amazing with both litters. We may have to includfe her in as much as possible before they go home.

Pups had a blast today and the day is not over!

New Neighbours

It's a small gallery day. The Adele pups want to wish all those that celebrate a Merry Christmas a very memorable one!

We have new neighbours - Jeannie gals!

Be sure to check out the videos.

We are looking through the mail and Nathan will contact you about your puppy selections. We do have 1 issue with choice but we are figuring it out. I will tell you I am shaking my head as it is about the puppy I would have kept hands down if I didn't have Stormy. I mean that sincerely.

There are no losers in this litter or Jeannie's. They are rather outstanding, imho. We have no personality issues, no health, nada. The vet was VERY pleased with both litters. Good that we only have 1 conflict. lol.

Stay tuned. This puppy selection thing is never easy.

8 Week Visit

Yes, we had the 8 week visit and the pups slept for a couple of hours after the families departed. Now they are upstairs playing up a storm.

Be sure to check out the videos. The visit is in 2 parts. The video link is now fixed.

Short blogs tonight as I am crashing.

Be sure to check out Jeannie's blog for the gallery.

Vet Visit

The pups did really well at the vets. They were curious and excited to see us. They were not sure who this vet with a hat was but none of the pups reacted to the hat. A hat is a new exposure for them.

Here is today's gallery.

Each line has a growth curve unique to their line. Think of your own families. There are always exceptions but I keep really extensive weight gain charts that it gives me insight in what to expect. It helps me to stay within the havanese standard. None of these pups will be oversized and none of Jeannie's pups will be undersized but they do grow at different rates. Adele's grow fast and level off and Jeannie's pups seem to have a slower, longer growth curve. Adele's are longer in leg and Jeannies is shorter in leg. Its been something I have been following for years and find fascinating. We have not had an oversized dog but we have had small just under the standard dogs that are placed and bloody grow into standard. That is frustrating. Saffron seems to throw some dogs on the small end and some well into standard. Her pups are so fabulous and worth the effort of upsizing plus nothing wrong with a small Havanese. Nothing wrong with a large havanese. It is easier to bring the size up than to bring the size down.

In comparing the earlier Adele and Jeannie litters both are on track.

Here are the weights for the Adele pups.

1st born 4lb 3.5oz

White Chin 3lb 15oz

Littlest Boy last born 3lb 2.5

Abigail looking Gal 3lb 7oz

Apricot and white 3lb 5oz

The littlest boy will remain the smallest as he has finer features but they will all be within standard.

They are all healthy. They did not have any accidents in the crate and went when they returned home. No car sickness but a couple did fuss in the car and then settled in - which is rather normal.

Be sure to check out the videos.

Beside Myself

Nathan took a bunch of photos of the bath and none took. It is my camera and I saw him click but as I only have 1 stick for my camera and previous photos I took earlier were on it,  I am scratching my head. I even took an additional one just now and yep that's there so did he click and not pay attention and the camera was off? LOL We will never know but as I took a photo with my ipad, this is the lone photos I have.

How did they do? In the bath they were fine. In the crate under the dryers - they were not happy. I do think I got a single video of them in the crate and some after but I call this a failure. Glad I wasn't the one clicking.

Be sure to check out the videos.

Tomorrow, vets and I promise I will take all the photos. heh

Crazy Times

The pups - get this now jump on top of the sherpa bags. They are a riot. Tomorrow they will be getting a bath. Oh boy - all 7 tomorrow.

Here is today's gallery.

Blogs are short but know the pups are having a blast multiple times a day. maybe that is why I am typing at this time and still have a dog to wash and cut. hahaha

Be sure to check out the videos.
